Only a few days left.....

........to get your orders in from the current Summer Mini Catalogue, which officially ends on Wednesday 31st March, 2010. Probably the biggest sellers from this one have been the Butterfly Prints set and matching punch, but also the Kaleidescope Patterned papers, I {heart} Hearts stamp set and "For Everything". One of my personal favourites from this catty was the very gorgeous red Polka Dot ribbon, which you can see pictured on this card. And of course the free SAB stamp sets will also all be discontinued after 31st March - but until then you can still receive a free one of your choice with every $100 worth of orders.

If you would like to order anything to make sure you dont miss out before they are gone, please email your order to lindastamps@bigpond.com or you can call me on my mobile which is 0412 375 552. I look forward to hearing from you soon. :-)

Oh... and dont forget we have a brand new Mini Catalogue coming out on April 1st (with New Hostess sets and new products... book your April and May workshops to see whats new!!)

Daring Cardmakers Daffodils/Play Date Cafe Challenges

Still on the challenge roll.. and I have a really cute card that I put together today. I found the challenge on the "Daring Cardmakers" site.. and they challenged people to make a card featuring "A host of yellow Daffodills". I dont own any daffodill stamps (currently) but I made a little "daffodill" out of my 5 petal flower punch and using the yellow shades of SU's Kaleidescope paper. Hope you like it.. I really enjoyed making it.

By complete coincidence I then realized (well my friend Jo told me) that the colours also fell into the criteria for the Play Date Cafe Challenge this week. How lucky was that???

Dont forget that many of these items are in the outgoing Summer Mini Catalogue, so you only have until March 31st to make your purchases from this catty or they are gone! The Kaleidescope DSP, and the "Whimsical Words" stamp set (one of our Free SAB sets with any $100 order) will both be no more.. along with the Butterfly Prints set (and matching punch), I {heart} hearts set, and Razzle Dazzle! So many beautiful items will be discontinued. Contact me at lindastamps@bigpond.com to place an order or to get your copy of the Mini sent out to you. Orders can be sent anywhere in Australia for a small postage charge.

Hope you enjoy this card! Here's a close up of the flower and bow:

Play Date Cafe challenge#20

I have been doing a few more challenges of late as the creativity starts to come back to me in small bits and pieces. I didnt get too creative for this one though as I was inspired by a swap card that I received from Stephanie Pike at last year's incentive trip to Noosa Heads. So essentially, it's a CASE. Thanks so much for inspriring me Stephanie!

So here is the picture that was to be our inspiration over at the Play Date Cafe site:

and here is my vintagey take on it:

I used the bleaching technique on the lovely lilac background, and how cute is that lace ribbon from the Ribbon Originals packs? Hope you like it.

Taylored Expressions Challenge

My friend Jo directed me to this challenge site and I've been lurking around there for some time now... so I thought it was high time that I gave one of their challenges a go. I love sketches when I am looking to come up with something new. Here is their sketch for this week:

and here is my take on it:

My apologies for the quality of the photo... the light here today is terrible.. its so dark! If I can take a better one in the coming days I will replace it. But I hope you enjoy the card as much as I enjoyed making it. :-)

Stamp-A-Stack this Monday Coming....15th March 2010

I have a Stamp-A-Stack coming up this Monday night and still have a few places at this stage. We'll be making 6 cards for $15 (3 each of two different designs) and there will be 3 birthday cards and 3 thank you cards. Which should mean that you have some cards to keep on hand for when those occasions come up. (The card you see here is one of the designs we will be making... isnt it cute??) All materials and light refreshments are provided. Classes are held at my home in East Gosford on the Central Coast, so if you would like to come, please email me at lindastamps@bigpond.com OR call my mobile which is 0412 375 552.

Hope to see you!

A recent Team Challenge

Recently we held a wonderful Team training day for our group of demonstrators. One of the best things about being with Stampin'Up as a demonstrator is the camaraderie that exists between the members of our team. I call many of these girls my closest friends, and getting to spend a day together stamping and learning new techniques and ideas is what it's all about to me. (And I get the same great feelings when I spent time with my customers in that way too)

In January we spent a full day together as a team and one of the things we did together was a group sketch challenge. The card you see here was my sample card for the sketch. I am always blown away by the creative talents of other people - many of them are girls that would once have thought themselves not particularly creative or skilled in that way. (You should see MY early efforts - they were pretty ordinary I have to say!!!) And yet, it just proves that anyone can tap into that creative part of themselves and find a new way to express themselves. I actually believe that you NEED to feed that creative part of our natures... of course, stamping, or papercraft might not be the outlet that you are looking for, but then again you never know!!

Looking for a new outlet? Mucking around with stamps/ink/paper might be just what you need! And if you are already addicted... consider learning even more and joining SU! This month there is even more to celebrate with free stamps up for grabs just for joining. Contact me at lindastamps@bigpond.com for an information pack.
