A few spots left - NEW Incolor Ribbon and Paper share for 2017 colours (Australian Customers Only)

A couple of weeks ago I popped up a new Incolor ribbon and paper share.... and I've had quite a few people take this up... THANK YOU!  However, because I have been away from my business for a couple of weeks due to unforeseen circumstances, I didn't really market it as I might have normally. So I do have a few shares left, and if you haven't jumped on board yet, now is your chance!  I'll close this last round off at the end of this week (30th June 2017), so here is your last chance to get your hands on these awesome shares.

Here are the details...

Ribbon Share:
1/4 roll of each of the 5 colours of Incolor Finely woven ribbon.
That works out to be approximately 2.2m of each colour.
Cost will be $16 per share for all 5 colours.

Receive 1/4 of the pack of "Fresh Florals" DSP.... front and backs of each design in all five colours.  Paper will be cut into 6"x6" sheets and mailed directly to you.  This paper matches your ribbons perfectly if you choose to do both shares.
Cost is $12 to take part in the paper share.

Or you can do BOTH shares for $25!

For those that have already paid me for the first round of shares, thank you so much.... yours are mailing out this week.

Here is a snap of the paper too!  Don't they look awesome together?  You are going to love working with these colours!

For a bit of fun I embossed the edges of the ribbon holders with the Rambling Rose stamp from the Wood Words stamp set.  Isn't it cute??

If you would like to be part of either or both of these shares you will need to let me know in an email by clicking HERE.  I look forward to sharing these awesome ribbons and papers with you!

Wood Textures and Embossed elegance

Last night we got home from a few days away, and I sat down to make a card... which is my happy place. Creativity of any kind is wonderful therapy. I love that when I get into the creating "zone" I tend to forget everything else, and it is so good to feel the creative flow as I play with my products.

In this case its new products too.... I used the "Wood Words" stamp set to emboss my roses in white at the edges of the wooden texture piece, and the "thank you" sentiment in the centre is from that same set, embossed in gold.  Already I know that this rambling rose stamp is going to be much loved and much used.  The background is stamped with the "Burlap" background stamp (Fresh Fig ink, on Fresh Fig cardstock).  I also used the new Pretty Label punch coupled with the Label me Pretty stamp set for the decorative piece behind the sentiment...you can see all the products I used in the product list below.  I think that Fresh Fig and gold is a magnificent combination don't you?

Here's a close up pic for you:

To order your own products to create with, visit my ONLINE STORE by clicking HERE.  Alternatively you can click on the items below to visit the store.  Products are delivered to you, anywhere in Australia, for a low postage charge.

I hope you enjoy my card today... come back again soon!

Its the little things....

There is a beautiful quote that reads... "Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart" (From Winnie the Pooh, by AA Milne) and this week I have been reminded of this.

Some of you knew that my Mum was very ill, and this week she lost her battle. We sat with her in the hospital for several days this week, and watched helplessly as she struggled bravely.  On Thursday morning she slipped quietly away.

It is hard to write this post, because finding the right words is difficult.  There is so much to say, and so few appropriate words to describe the feelings I have.  But there are a few things that I need to say.

The kindness and gentleness shown to our family over this past week has been beyond description.  The staff at the hospital and then in the Palliative care unit (Tamworth Base Hospital) went so far beyond what their jobs actually require that I was moved to tears many times.  While she still breathed they treated her with such loving care, and many times had words for us to help with the distress we all felt during this time. The rose in the picture above is what they laid on her chest just after she passed.  Such a small gesture and so beautiful.  Then friends and family who have expressed their heartfelt messages.  People who were brave enough to come and sit with us in the hospital room.  Folk who have offered meals to my Dad.  Friends who offered us a place to stay while in Tamworth... nothing was too much trouble. Visits daily from the pastor, and prayers from church members, and hugs on call. It has been both a distressing but also a beautiful week.  I cannot express my thanks enough.  My heart is both empty and full.

The week ahead will be difficult for us too... as we prepare and get organised for the funeral.  We know that the support of many people and many prayers will get us through the week.

The other thing I wanted to say was how my parent's marriage has profoundly affected me.  My parents believed without question that marriage was for life. They were married for 56 beautiful years, and they were so gentle with each other.  Best friends and life partners.  It was such a privilege to be part of their family and to watch them together.  I never once heard my parents raise their voices at each other.  They always put each other first, and still held hands when they were out and about together. My dad always made my Mum a cup of tea in the morning (up until she lost her taste for tea a few years back when Mum went through Chemotherapy) and they prayed together every morning.  Pretty amazing really.

In the photo above I am holding my Mother's wedding ring, which they gave me just after she passed away.  She had tiny fingers and I am terrified that it will fall off my little finger (the only finger it will fit on) so I have it on a chain.  Such a small but precious reminder of something so important.

Today I sat down to do this little "Memories and More" layout... its a small thing, but incredibly comforting... and I guess a bit of therapy for me too.  My dad and my brother and myself all sat down and went through a lot of photos this week, and I am hoping to be able to put together a Memories and More album for him.  As a tribute and something precious to keep.

Thank you for your patience with me this week... I will of course get back to posting a bit more often, but probably not immediately.   The online shop is still there if you need anything in the meantime.

Love and hugs

Coffee Cafe, Copper and Texture!

Here is a set I knew I had to have as soon as I saw it!  It's called the "Coffee Break" suite and its a whole suite of products that include the Stamp Set and framelits (as a bundle) plus co-ordinating DSP, Corrugated Elements and a matching cardstock pack.  Love them!

The stamp set itself is called "Coffee Cafe", and its a super fun set of takeaway cups and all the accessories you might expect at your local coffee shop.  Plus there is framelits to cut them out (of course).  Here I also used my Burlap background stamp to add extra texture behind my coffee cup, and embossed a piece of copper foil to up the texture too.  I used the Seaside embossing folder for this... but I kinda thought it looked a bit like coffee steam :-)  The burlap trim brought it all together.

There is one other item I added... I used the coffee foam framelit to create a stencil for the foam, and then used my Embossing paste over the top of the stencil to create a realistic looking foam which I then popped onto dimensionals.  Its hard to see in the pic, but it is uneven just like real foam would be.

You'll be seeing quite a few cards and projects made with these items in the coming weeks.

I've included a product list below for you....

Enjoy!

2017 Ribbon and Paper Shares for my Australian Readers!

Hello everyone!

Have you seen our new Incolor range yet?  Each year StampinUp announces a new group of five fashion colours, and in the above pic you are looking at this year's new colours.  I love the way they all go together, and if you've been following along, you would have noticed I've been using them all A LOT, in different combinations.

A few weeks back I mentioned on my Facebook Business page that I was going to do both ribbon and paper shares this month.  The time has come!  You can sign up for either the Ribbon OR Paper share, or both.  You just need to CONTACT ME to let me know which ones you are wanting. I'll organise to get them to you via post (local customers are welcome to collect them from me here on the Central Coast if preferred).  I'll close the share off Friday 23rd June, and start sending them off the following week.  Here are the details:

Ribbon Share:
1/4 roll of each of the 5 colours of Incolor Finely woven ribbon.
That works out to be approximately 2.2m of each colour.
Cost will be $16 per share for all 5 colours.

Paper Share:

Receive 1/4 of the pack of "Fresh Florals" DSP.... front and backs of each design in all five colours.  Paper will be cut into 6"x6" sheets and mailed directly to you.  This paper matches your ribbons perfectly if you choose to do both shares.
Cost is $12 to take part in the paper share.

Or you can do BOTH shares for $25!

You will need to let me know that you are IN... and which of the two shares you'd like to do (or both).  Click HERE to contact me and let me know.
