February Alaska Achievers Blog Hop - Showcasing Occasions and SAB products!

Good morning to you all, wherever you may be!  Today we are going live with a new Alaska Achievers monthly blog hop.... and I am excited to be part of this month's hop.  The hop is available to anyone who has achieved the coming incentive trip to Alaska (we will be travelling in July... how EXCITING!) and this month we are showing off some of the gorgeous products in our current Occasions and SAB catalogues.

The hard part is always choosing which project to showcase!  I have a number of finished projects sitting here that would be perfect for his hop.  But I decided to go with one that uses BOTH Occasions and SAB items... thats a good way to hedge my bets right??

This card is made with a mix of elements... notably the Sweet Soiree Embellishment kit.... and then I given it a bit of help with some other elements.  I started with the silver striped background... which is from a sheet of our Springtime Foils DSP pack... yep... this is a FREE SAB item that you can get as a gift with purchase with a $90 order.  I love this paper!  You might have seen Ive been creating up a storm with it.... its so glamorous!

Then I stamped the cake from the Cake Soiree stamp set and cut it out with the matching die. I used my Stampin'Blends markers to colour in the flowers.  The cake stand is also cut from the matching framelit set... I love all those detailed frilly bits, just like a real fancy cake stand!  The other silver-embossed vellum pieces are straight from the co-ordinating Embellishment kit.... aren't they lovely?? I love the way they finish off the card so beautifully!  The sentiment is also from the same stamp set and I embossed that in silver too.  Oh... and that silver striped washi tape? That's in the embellishment kit too!

Here is the embellishment kit so you can get a closer look:

I hope you like my little card today.  Click the next name below mine in the hop to continue, and I hope you enjoy all the wonderful creations that the girls have made!

Petal Passion DSP and Stampin' Blends are a match made in Heaven!

Such a simple little card for you today... but what makes it special is the colouring!  I started with a square piece of black and white DSP from the Petal Passion DSP pack, and coloured it with Calypso Coral and Old Olive Blends alcohol markers.  But for me what really makes it "pop" is the outline of light Pool Party all the way around the images.  Of course it looks fine without it... but it makes such a difference to the result!

To finish the card I added a 2" circle of Gold Glimmer paper, and the sentiment is cut out with the 1&3/4" circle punch, and mounted on top with dimensionals.  The sentiment itself is from the Petal Palette stamp set (the DSP and stamp set are both part of the same suite of products).  I also added a leaf detail by punching Old Olive cardstock with the Leaf Punch twice, and popping it behind my sentiment.  Note: the Leaf Punch is not in any of our current catalogues, but its still available!  Some items from the Holiday catalogue (which retired at the beginning of this year) are on the "Carryover list"... this means that you can still get them. To order click on the Leaf Punch image in the product list below.  Or you can search for it in the Online Store.

I've included a product list below if you like the look of these items and would like them for yourself! (Just click on the item you want to be taken to the Online Store!)

Have an awesome day!

Its a Beautiful Day! Brought to you by Stampin'Up Australia!

This morning I attempted to clean up my craft studio.  This relatively easy task is often thwarted by my discovery of various items which inevitably leads to creating rather than cleaning. Anyone else relate??

Today I came across this rose from the Beautiful Day stamp set... which I had coloured in previously.  I cant even remember when that actually was.  But I also had some left over pieces of this Petal Passion DSP (the Black and White) on the desk and it immediately called out to me to put it all together on a card.  So here it is!  I love black and white with a pop of colour (and red is always stunning).  The only thing I actually had to go and get off the shelf was the sentiment.... everything else was right there!  Not even a Big Shot required for this card... I fussy cut around the rose.

I've included a product list below should you wish to purchase any of these items for yourself.  Just click on the item you want to be taken to the Online Store.   Items are shipped directly to you, anywhere in Australia.  All you need is a credit card to place the order through the store.

(I also photographed this Flat Lay of my card for my Instagram account)

Enjoy the card and I'll be back soon!

Amazing You from Stampin'Up makes great one layer cards

Hands up if you love a simple card!?  I sure do!  And any chance I get to create one-layer cards I will take!

This is just a piece of Very Vanilla A4, cut in half, and then folded to make this card.  I stamped the flower image from the Amazing You stamp set (one of our gifts-with-purchase that you can choose with a $90 order right now) repeatedly in Fresh Fig ink... making sure that the flowers didnt overlap too much.  Then I used a Sponge Dauber and Calypso Coral ink to sponge the flowers.  If you do this in a circular motion, starting in the middle of the flower, you will get more concentration of colour in the centre, fading to a softer look at the edges of the flowers.

For the words I cut the "Amazing" from Fresh Fig cardstock , and the "You from Gold Glimmer paper, with my Big Shot die cutting machine.  These awesome words are from the Celebrate You thinlit dies - which is yet another Sale-A-Bration set... although this one is a higher value set, so it is free with a $180 order.  I love these words and have been using them constantly of late!

I hope you love this card. We made it at our Stamp-A-Stack earlier this month, and I have one more workshop group that will be creating it before the end of the month too.

A little fun with the Bird Banter stamp set!

Here's a fun set that is just so darn cute!  It's called "Bird Banter" and you will find it in our current Occasions Catalogue. Here I've just simply stamped the birds (on branches) in Memento Tuxedo black ink, and then coloured them with Stampin' Blends.   I dont know about you, but I find colouring very therapeutic.... anyone else???

The Stampin' Blends are available as single markers, combo packs, or even the whole collection!  If you haven't used them yet, you will be really happy with the quality and intensity of these markers!

I've included a product list below should you wish to purchase any of these items for yourself, and all you need is your Credit Card handy.   Items can be shipped directly to your door, anywhere in Australia.  To order, click on the item you want, or you can click the SHOP NOW button on this page too.

I hope you like the card today, and I'll be back with more for you soon.
