LAST DAY to Sale-a-Brate with our gorgeous Springtime Foils DSP for free!

This is it guys!  Its the last day of Sale-A-Bration.... and I am both excited and sad.  Sad to say goodbye to our gorgeous SAB sets this year.... but excited for all the new stuff that is coming and VERY excited that so many of you have jumped in and got yourselves some Sale-A-Bration gorgeousness!  Its been a great offering of free products this year.... and it seems that you all agree!

Let me tell you about today's card.... its not for the faint-hearted.  I am one of those crazy people who actually likes fussy cutting (when I have time!) and so when I saw a card online by the talented Stesha Bloodhart (who lives in the US) and how she had cut around the leaves on the Springtime Foils DSP.... well I had to go and chop up my DSP too.  Such a cool way to use it!  But it is a bit of work... and I can tell you we will NOT be making this card in class Haha!

You can see Stesha's lovely card HERE

Having said all that... I love how this card turned out.  I thought that the shape of some of the branches were similar to the Peacock tails in the Beautiful Peacock set... so why not put them together??  And as its the last day of SAB its the perfect day to get two SAB sets on one card right?  These are two of my favourites too..... although if I had to pick my ONE absolute favourite item from SAB this year it would be the Springtime Foils DSP!  So I really wanted to use it today!

I hope you love it too!

Dont forget SAB is still in place until 11.50pm 31st March.... so there's still time to get your order in (you get a free item for every $90 ordered).  Click HERE to visit the Online Store.   Or there's even still time to join SU as a demonstrator... click the "Join my Team" button above for that option.... right now its a seriously major bargain!

I hope you are enjoying your Easter break!

PS... Im running a little competition over on my Facebook Business page and it will run until the evening of the 1st April (Australian Time) so hop over there.... you just have to have "Liked" the page and tell me which SAB item was your favourite this year.

Saying goodbye to the PARTY PANDAS stamp set!

This has been one of most popular Sale-a-Bration stamp sets this year... the Party Pandas!  And I think I know why.... because its FUN!  Something about a group of dancing pandas just makes me happy!  And if you already got these for free during Sale-A-Bration, I hope they are making you happy too!

For this card I stamped my pandas with Memento Black ink on whisper white and cut around them with   my paper snips.  I adhered them to the largest Stitched Oval framelit, cut from Bermuda Bay cardstock. The background DSP is from the Bubbles and Fizz DSP pack.. which is another free Sale-A-Bration item.  I used the Myths and Magic glimmer paper for the balloon, and a couple of strips of the Myths and Magic Washi tape for a little extra bling.

Every card I have made with this cute set has been super fun to make!  If you haven't got this SAB set yet... do it!  Its free with a $90 order until tomorrow, March 31st.  After that, it's gone forever!

You can order in my ONLINE STORE... or click on the items that you want below.  Enjoy!

Saying Goodbye to the Epic Celebrations set

Today I decided to play with another of my favourite Sale-A-Bration sets... which sadly will also be discontinued after March 31. Its been fun playing with some of my favourites this week, as I know people are keen to see them before they go.

The Epic Celebrations set is possibly the perfect stamp set for teenager cards.  Sometimes this can be a tricky age to create for... but when you have a set like this... it becomes a LOT easier!  I think my favourite stamp is the Converse sneakers.... and I love them done like this.... stamped on a darker background and then coloured with a white gel pen.  Don't they look cool??

The guitar I actually stamped with Archival black on silver foil, and then coloured it in with Stampin' Blends. (Yes I do realise that the blends are temporarily unavailable... but they'll be back soon!)  Because they are alcohol markers they respond differently on the foil paper.  I like the look of colouring the image first, and then dotting my blends on to the surface to create this watery look.  Almost a jewelled look actually.  I think it works on this image!

I also added a strip of the Bubbles and Fizz SAB paper... also retiring this weekend.  Dont forget that these retiring items are FREE with a $90 order.  To order, simply click on what you want below... or visit the Online Store.

Enjoy my card today!

Saying goodbye to the Amazing You stamp set

As we near the end of Sale-A-Bration for 2018 I am making sure I make use of these beautiful stamps while I still can.  This set, Amazing You, has I think been my favourite stamp set from this year's SAB offering.  Its available in red rubber... either clear mount or wood mount..... and you can still get it until the 31st March.... free with a $90 order.

I've found it a really versatile set, and have managed to create quite a number of different types of projects with it.  In particular I love the flowers embossed, which is what I have done with them on this card.  I've matched silver with Blushing Bride, coloured the centres of the flowers with Blushing Bride ink, applied with a blender pen.  The vellum circle behind the flowers helps to create a softer effect... which went with the feel of this card.  The words are from the Celebrate You thinlits... but even though those framelits are currently free with a $180 order, dont despair too much if you cant get them right now... they will again be available in our next Annual catalogue due out in June 2018.  But of course they will be available for sale.... at this stage I have no idea how much they will retail for.

Unlike the Amazing You stamp set, which will be gone forever after March 31st.

If you would like to purchase any of these items for yourself, please visit my ONLINE STORE.  Items are delivered directly to you, anywhere in Australia, for a low postage charge.  You just need a credit card to shop.

I've included a product list below to help you.  I hope you like my little card today.... dont forget to keep checking back as we say goodbye to lots of Sale-A-Bration items this week!

Welcome to the INKsomniacs team blog hop!

Im really excited that our team is putting on this blog hop this month, and even more excited to be a part of it!  Our team is not super large, but they are such a great group of girls, and we share ideas and projects together on our team forum.  Of course we all have a love of card making and paper in common, so sharing comes naturally to us.  I love our team!

The theme for our hop this time is "Monochromatic".  I noticed that some of us interpreted that a little differently... but as with all cardmaking, there really is no right or wrong. Its up to each of us to interpret the theme the way we want to. For me a Monochromatic card is one that uses just one colour.... and probably a neutral against it.  So I made 3 different cards.... the colours inspired by the beautiful Crinkled Seam binding ribbon we currently have in our Annual catalogue. (Note this ribbon will come to an end when the catalogue retires at the end of May, but I just love it, and though I might stock up.... please let me know if you are interested in a share of these gorgeous ribbons.... Im thinking a share next month might be a good idea before its gone forever! Click HERE to email me and let me know you are interested!)

The ribbons come in 4 great colours.. but as one of them is Emerald Envy and I didnt really want to create green flowers, I decided to work with the other 3 colours.  With 1 week left of Sale-A-Bration, I also wanted to use the gorgeous Heartfelt Blooms flower and sentiments. I am really going to miss this gorgeous set! Its been so perfect for all kinds of occasions and its been super popular with my customers too.  Such a beautiful stamp!

So above you can see the 3 cards I created for our theme.  They are all very simply stamped, a circle added to emphasise the sentiment, and the beautiful ribbons add a touch of softness to each card.  As a final touch I had to add a little bling (I know... I cant help myself!).  There are also some little "dewdrops" on each card, brought to us by the Glitter and Clear Epoxy shapes.

Here's some close ups:
Peekaboo Peach:

Berry Burst:

Night of Navy:

Don't forget if you love this stamp set... or any of our other lovely Sale-a-Bration sets, you have only 1 week left to jump in a grab them whilst you can!

Now its time to move on to the next person in our Hop.... it's the talented Kate Webb!  Click the NEXT button below to check out her project!  The full list of participants is at the bottom of this post.
