Welcome to the INKsomniacs team blog hop!

Im really excited that our team is putting on this blog hop this month, and even more excited to be a part of it!  Our team is not super large, but they are such a great group of girls, and we share ideas and projects together on our team forum.  Of course we all have a love of card making and paper in common, so sharing comes naturally to us.  I love our team!

The theme for our hop this time is "Monochromatic".  I noticed that some of us interpreted that a little differently... but as with all cardmaking, there really is no right or wrong. Its up to each of us to interpret the theme the way we want to. For me a Monochromatic card is one that uses just one colour.... and probably a neutral against it.  So I made 3 different cards.... the colours inspired by the beautiful Crinkled Seam binding ribbon we currently have in our Annual catalogue. (Note this ribbon will come to an end when the catalogue retires at the end of May, but I just love it, and though I might stock up.... please let me know if you are interested in a share of these gorgeous ribbons.... Im thinking a share next month might be a good idea before its gone forever! Click HERE to email me and let me know you are interested!)

The ribbons come in 4 great colours.. but as one of them is Emerald Envy and I didnt really want to create green flowers, I decided to work with the other 3 colours.  With 1 week left of Sale-A-Bration, I also wanted to use the gorgeous Heartfelt Blooms flower and sentiments. I am really going to miss this gorgeous set! Its been so perfect for all kinds of occasions and its been super popular with my customers too.  Such a beautiful stamp!

So above you can see the 3 cards I created for our theme.  They are all very simply stamped, a circle added to emphasise the sentiment, and the beautiful ribbons add a touch of softness to each card.  As a final touch I had to add a little bling (I know... I cant help myself!).  There are also some little "dewdrops" on each card, brought to us by the Glitter and Clear Epoxy shapes.

Here's some close ups:
Peekaboo Peach:

Berry Burst:

Night of Navy:

Don't forget if you love this stamp set... or any of our other lovely Sale-a-Bration sets, you have only 1 week left to jump in a grab them whilst you can!

Now its time to move on to the next person in our Hop.... it's the talented Kate Webb!  Click the NEXT button below to check out her project!  The full list of participants is at the bottom of this post.
