Painted Seasons bundle is a free item in Stampin'Up's 2nd release of SAB items!

Here's something new that Im loving!  Earlier this month Stampin'Up released a second group of products as part of their Sale-A-Bration offering this year.  If you dont know what Sale-A-Bration is (otherwise known as SAB), then I can tell you it is a very cool promotion!  Stampin' Up do this particular promotion from January to March each year, and there are lots of way to benefit from it...

1. As a customer
2. As a hostess
3. As a demonstrator

(If you'd like to know EXACTLY how to benefit you will find those details below)

But one of the rewards currently on offer is this gorgeous bundle.... the stamp set is called Painted Seasons and it is bundled together with the beautiful Painted Seasons Designed Series Paper:

I just love it!  Its worth noting that this bundle is a LEVEL 2 bundle - available for free with a $180+ order.

I've been playing with these papers and stamps for the past couple of weeks, and today's cards show off the stamp set and the beautiful detail in the images.  And over on our forum this week our "Colour of the week" challenge was to use the colour "Calypso Coral"... so I made that the focus colour of these cards.   Other colours I used include Night of Navy and Call me Clover.

And here's a bit of sneaky gossip for you... next month (March) Stampin'Up are releasing some brand new items (just for the month of March) and calling them "Sale-a-bration Co-ordination".  What does the mean?  Well just for next month you will be able to buy items that perfectly co-ordinate with some of our SAB items!  For example, you will be able to buy framelits to match these Painted Seasons stamps!!!   For those that have purchased the Frogs from the So Hoppy Together set, yes there are frog framelits coming too! And I've included a brand new punch on my card above... its the Story Label punch.... also available in March!

Here is another very simple card using the Painted Seasons stamps... same colours, but this time on a Crumb Cake background...

Just changing that background totally changes the card itself!

For anyone who needs more information on how to make the most of SAB 2019, you will find the full details below: (remember these prices are for the Australian market - if you are elsewhere check with your Stampin'Up demonstrator for the correct prices in your market)

1.  As a customer every $90 worth of orders that you place gives you the opportunity to shop for free from our exclusive SAB catalogue!  Its the best "gift-with-purchase" going around!  To order you can visit the ONLINE STORE....  Or if you are ordering over $180 you can 2 level one gifts OR you can get 1 Level 2 gift (like the Painted Seasons bundle above).

2. If you are putting in orders worth over $400 you automatically get an additional $40 in free product on top of the existing hostess benefits. This works for group orders, in-home workshops AND individual orders!

Swipe Stamping Technique for classes this month! (and a video tutorial)

This week is my monthly cardmaking class in the Hunter Valley.  Each month I travel up with my car full of papercrafting goodies, and we spend a creative day making cards, and enjoying refreshments at the Taste of the Country cafe, in the Hunter Valley Gardens.  I've now been doing these classes for 2 years, although the classes themselves have been running for quite a number of years.  I really enjoy each day, and have met such a lovely group of women at these classes.

These types of events are one of the reasons that I love doing what I do!  How lucky am I to connect with other crafters, and to create beautiful projects for a living?  It never ceases to amaze me that I've been able to build a business doing this exact thing.

This week, as always, we have 6 different projects to make together and today I am showing off one of the six.  The technique I have used on these cute cards is called "Swipe Stamping".... its actually a very simple technique, but I think you'll agree that its very effective!

Here's a close up for you:

For those interested in the technique, but unable to attend classes this month, I've included a video below which I actually did live on my Facebook Business page.  If you would like to see more videos like this one, then can I suggest that you head over there and hit the "like" button so that you will see other videos when I post them.

Enjoy the video!

Crafty Day Out Project 3 - L.O.V.E. Eclipse card

Here's project 3 from our Crafty Day Out last week.... this is an eclipse card that I created and used the heart stamps from the Forever Lovely stamp set.  This was actually a really easy card to create.... if you own the Large Letter framelits you can create any word you like with this great technique.  (Incidentally it works well with the now-retired large numbers framelits too, if you happen to own those!)

This was project number 3 at our awesome day out for a group of demonstrators in my team.  I still have one last project to show you... so stay tuned for that.

But as tomorrow is Valentines Day, I thought this would be an appropriate card to share with you all!

Enjoy!

Crafty Day Out Project 2 - Embossing Mats and Grapefruit Grove Foil paper

I think I can safely say that the Grapefruit Grove foil paper (which is a Sale-a-bration free item) is one of the hardest things I have ever tried to photograph!  Yes, its definitely Grapefruit Grove in colour, however it is also holographic... which means that a rainbow of colours shine across its surface!  So its super hard to capture on camera.... but hopefully you can get a glimpse of just how beautiful it really is!

This is another of our projects from last Saturdays Crafty Day Out with some of my awesome Stampin'Up team of demonstrators.  I hosted the day out as a special reward for them.... and so far all the feedback I have received has been fabulous.  We really had a great day together.

I wanted everyone to have a play with our awesome Embossing Mats.... and this card was a great example of how they work.  If you havent seen them in action, then here is a video tutorial I did a while ago to show how to use them (even though it uses a different set... the technique is the same):

I have still a couple more projects to show you from the Crafty Day out... so check back for those over the coming days.  (If you would like to see what I've already posted of the day's activities, click HERE or HERE).

Enjoy!

Crafty Day Out Project 1 - featuring the Butterfly Gala bundle

So yesterday I posted some photos of our fabulous team day creating and getting together!  (You can read all about it and check out my photos HERE)  This week I plan to showcase all of the projects that we made on the day so you can get a close up look.

The project you see above was the first one that we made together and made good use of the Copper Tins available in our current Annual Catalogue.  I used the Botanical Butterfly DSP to cover the tin, and  gave them the choice of either side of the paper as they both look good.  :)  We then added a stitched Oval with the Gingham Gala DSP, and a Butterfly stamped and then punched with the Gingham Gala bundle.  The coordinating Gingham Gala ribbon was knotted and added to the middle of the butterfly.

On the inside of the tins we made 4  3"x3" whisper white cards, and I added some matching Gingham paper.  On top we used a Whisper White square (also cut with the Stitched Shapes) and a couple more of the butterflies, coloured to match.  Of course the envelopes had to co-ordinate too!

I've included a full list of the items needed to complete this project.  If you wish to purchase any of these items you can do so by clicking on the images below OR you can visit the ONLINE STORE and shop for items by category.  All you need is your credit card, and items can be shipped anywhere in Australia for a low postage charge!

Have a fabulous Monday, and check back soon for more great ideas and projects!

Stampin'Up Crafty Day with the girls!

Yesterday was an amazing day!  I had organised a fun day with some of my team members, and I called it my "Crafty Day Out".  I dont do these kinds of events very often, but if yesterday was any indication, I should look at doing them a little more often!

Our day involved several great projects, a little business training, food, coffee/tea, treats, great conversation and FUN.  Some of the girls got to meet in real life for the very first time, and we all got to know each other better.  I believe that personal connection is one of the most important things we have to give each other, and yesterday was a great opportunity to do just that.  Stampin'Up is about crafting and creativity of course, but the friendships and connections it has brought into my life are so so valuable.  It is a beautiful thing when groups of women create together!

Here are a few photographs of our day out together....

My gorgeous friend Vanessa Webb was our special guest!  Very excited to have her with us to share her wealth of knowledge!

Display boards showing samples of our Occasions Catalogue products in use!

The photograph at the very top of the page shows the projects we made together... everyone loved them!   I am always concerned before an event... will they like the projects?? But its always such a great feeling when you get lovely comments and feedback!  I'll be showing each of these projects separately here on my blog this week, so check back for more information.

Finally, we also celebrated a birthday yesterday in our group.... Happy Birthday to Courtenay Heuston!
Thank you for sharing your birthday with us!
