Here I am

Well I've been playing around with this blog idea for a while now. I've even tested a couple of them out. But here I am using Blogger... I must say that the set up was very easy. I have a lot of customising to do before Im completely happy with it, but for now, here it is - and welcome to my very first post.

Why Blog? Well, for a range of reasons actually. But one reason stands out above all the others. I want people to be able to find me. And this seems like a great place to be found.

In 2006 I became a Stampin'up Demonstrator here in Australia. I find it amazing to say this, but in many ways this decision has meant huge changes in my life. In only 5 short months I have learnt so much, gained so many friends and had so much fun that I can hardly believe it myself. I certainly feel that my decision to join SU! was the right one for me.

So what is Stampin'Up? Basically they are a company that sells high quality papercraft items - particularly rubber stamps and associated supplies such as inks, cardstock, adhesives, embellishments, cutting equipment and just about anything else that goes with papercraft. The company sells their products via their network of independent demonstrators, therefore sales are made via in-home workshops and word of mouth. SU! supports us by providing us with training, access to templates and brochures, fantastic promotions and wonderful events. The support is unbelievable!

As to more personal stuff you might like to know that I am a Mum to 2 cute kids (Emma is 4 and Ben is 1) and have been married for 10 years (!) to Greg. When Im not running stamp workshops or chasing my kids I also run a training business in the telecommunications industry. Yes, life is busy at our house, but I don't think I'd have it any other way. (Except maybe a holiday now and then would be nice)

So my purpose in having this blog is to keep in touch with my customers (and hopefully meet some new ones!) and to tell everyone about the great specials that SU! has going and to post examples of projects and ideas as they pop up. I hope to post as often as I can and have new ideas for people to view. I'll also put on some links to some of my favourite blogs and hopefully learn how to make this whole site look very cool!

So welcome, and I hope to get to know you better. Please post a comment, and say "Hi!"
