I am so blessed to have so many friends! I never take them for granted and appreciate each and every one. Goodness knows that they have been a huge force in getting my feet back on the ground over the past year. (Can you believe its been almost a whole year???) So today I attempted my first Mojo Monday for a while... Here is the sketch:
and with friends in mind, I came up with the following card:
I used Regal Rose as my main colour (with a little white) - Regal Rose Ribbon, Regal Rose ink, Regal Rose Cardstock, and the Sweet Always Designer Series Paper. Just a simple little card. The stamp set is the I {heart} hearts set... dont forget that until the end of February 2010 $2 from the sale of every one of these stamp sets goes to help the Red Cross's work in Haiti. Click here to see the set and how it works.
Hope you enjoy the card.. and have a lovely weekend doing something that you love :-)

Newcastle Craftexpo - Day 1
Wow... what a great day we had at Newcastle Craftexpo today! We were flat out all day - assisting people with their Make and Take projects, answering questions, taking orders and demonstrating product. I love Craft Shows.. they are so much fun! It's not just stamping and papercraft either.. a whole range of different crafts and hobbies are represented. You are bound to find something that floats your boat!
If you get any time to spare over this weekend, please come and say hello to us at Newcastle Craft Expo. It's held at Newcastle Showground at Broadmeadow, and will continue to run until Sunday afternoon. Hours are 10am to 4.30pm each day. For more details about the show click here.
We all contribute cards, layouts and other 3-D items to display for the duration of the show. Each year I am amazed at the talent and creative skills of each team member and I feel so proud to be part of the group that I am working with. And for most of us there was not so long ago a feeling that we werent creative! It just goes to prove that with the right tools and advice EVERYONE can create the most exquisite works! I thought I would share just a couple of photos from the day.
This is my wonderful upline, Georgina Martin, at the Make and Take table.
A wider view of our stand (Carol and Lisa hard at work)
Some of the 3-D items that we have on display.
If you find some time over the weekend, come and find us at the show and say "Hi!" And if not, I hope you enjoy these photos!
Have a great weekend guys! I will!

More on the same theme.. look familiar?
Thought I would show you another card that I made.. quite similar to the previous one. I made this one for a lovely workshop hostess the other night (thank you Denielle - I loved doing your workshop with you!) as I wanted to show off the Sweet Treat Cups (rrp $6.50 for a pack of 12!) and also to use the I {heart} Hearts stamp set (rrp $42.95 for 8 stamps) Click here to see that set and how purchasing it helps raise money for the Red Cross's work in Haiti.
I'm having a love affair with Red and Black at the moment.. they are so striking together! Hope you like it too!

Love is in the Air...
..."Everywhere I look around"...
Well so THAT song tells us...
No matter if you are partnered or not on Valentines Day, the idea of Valentine's Day is a lovely one. But why do we need an excuse to be romantic? Shouldnt love or romance happen on any day of the year?
Well if you are in possession of some of our many stamps that celebrate love and affection, then Valentine's Day at the very least is an excuse to use them! And I just happen to own "A Happy Heart" which includes a stamp that says {Feb 14} - if I cant use it now, then when AM I going to use it??? And if you don't have a significant other in your life Valentines is a day to think about all the people in our lives that do indeed have significance to us - whether they be treasured friends or family.
The card you see here includes the floral heart from the I {heart} Hearts stamp set (rrp $42.95). Right now if you purchase this stamp set, Stampin'Up will donate $2 from every set sold to the Red Cross' Haiti Relief and Development Fund. This money will be used to provide immediate relief and long-term support through supplies, technical assistance and other support to help those in need. Click here to see the stamp set itself and further details.
If you had this stamp set on your wish list you will need to make your purchase before February 28th to contribute to the fund. I am proud to work for a company that becomes involved in assisting people in need in this way.
So whilst I do have feeling that Valentine's Day is sometimes an excuse to commercialize love, I still love the basic concept, and I hope that you spend it with people that you love or at least take the opportunity to tell someone how much they mean to you.
LOVE
Me.
Oh, and I hope you enjoy this little card. :-)

Butterfly Bling Class - Project 2
I still have a few places available for next week's Butterfly Bling Class on the 10th February.. so I thought I should probably show you the second project (of 3 in total) that you will be making in this class. You've already seen this one:
So here is project No. 2 for you to see...
It's a cute Mini Album that you can add photos or messages to and it makes a fabulous gift! Once again it makes use of the very cool glitter technique that we are learning that day. This class is set to run at 10.30am on Wednesday 10th February. Cost is $25 and all materials and a light supper are provided. Classes are held at my home at East Gosford on the Central Coast. Contact me at lindastamps@bigpond.com to reserve your spot. I look forward to seeing you!
