Upcoming March Class Schedule

Well I would say that the past nearly 2 weeks have been exceedingly frustrating... I have had all manner of computer and connection issues.  So I havent been able to post here.  At time of writing I haven't been able to sort it all out... still cant post photos of my projects... but Im getting close now. I actually bought myself a new computer in the middle of it all... and setting up the new Mac hasnt been quite as straightforward as I would have liked. Never mind.. these things are sent to try us right?

But I did want to send out a post to let you know what is coming up in the coming weeks.  Starting back next week after a couple of week's break..

Stamp-A-Stacks
Come along to the first Stamp-A-Stack of the year.. you'll make 6 cards (3 each of 2 different designs) for a cost of $20.  Card theme to be announced over the next couple of days.. so check back here in the next 2 or 3 days for an update on the theme.  All materials and light refreshments are provided. Just come and enjoy!
Dates: Tuesday 5th March @ 7.30pm
Wednesday 6th March @ 11am

Technique Classes - Vellum Techniques
Come and learn some different ways to use Vellum in your projects. Vellum is such a beautiful and versatile product to work with. At this class you will make 3 projects for a cost of $20, and all materials and light refreshments are provided.
Dates: Tuesday 12th March @ 7.30pm
Wednesday 13th March @ 11am

Easter Project Speciality Class
Tuesday 26th March @7.30pm
Wednesday 27th March @11am
This is a great chance to make some awesome Easter projects.  Photos to follow soon!  So stay tuned.  You will make three projects for a cost of $25, and I promise that chocolate is involved ;-)  All materials  and light refreshments are provided.

There are also two stamp clubs next month... I have both a day and an evening one... and due to a couple of last year's stamp clubs girls now doing different things I do have a couple of free spots. Stamp club is a great way to learn great projects and techniques with a regular group of people - and it also helps pace your purchases, as you are committing to spending $50 in product, every other month.  If you are interested, please click here to contact me.  Stamp clubs are held on the Central Coast.

I hope to see you at a club or class very soon!

BDP "Smash Books"

I wanted to show you a little project that I completed yesterday.  This is the "Smash Book" for the Stampin'Up Business Development Program (BDP).  Stampin'Up runs a business coaching program for Demonstrators at Executive level and above... we get to talk to a business coach about issues that impact our businesses, and it really helps to discuss these kinds of things with an objective coach. One of the initiatives this year is for each participant to use a "smash book" to keep track of these discussions.. somewhere to take notes, write goals and celebrate achievements. We were each sent the raw materials for the books... and told to go forth and create a cover for your book. So here you see mine.  As today is Valentines Day I think I was a little taken by a "hearts" theme. But quite truly, I think running a business is a heart affair... you need a lot of heart to make it work!

I was inspired by THIS CARD, which I recently showed here on my blog.

It was a fun project to do, and now I am looking forward to using my book. :-)  Hope you enjoy it too.

"More Amore" Paper and Hearts

With Valentines Day just around the corner, I have seen lots of hearts appearing all over the place. Of course, that could also be because Hearts feature so strongly in our new Autumn Seasonal catalogue. Either way, I am loving all the cool things I can do with this stuff... and what you see on this card is only a small sampling of what is available.

This is actually a VERY simple card, and one I featured at my catalogue launch earlier in the week. I was so pleased with it... and have actually made an even simpler variation of it for people to make at a Breast Cancer fundraiser I am involved with in the following week.  So simple :-)

Here is a list of what I used to create this little project.

Naturals Ivory Cardstock  (pack of 40 A4 sheets - $12.95)
Primrose Petals Core'dinations Cardstock (pack of 12 12"x12" sheets - $11.95)
Stampin Up Sanding System ($6.95)
More Amore Speiciality DSP (pack of 12 12"x12" sheets - $21.95)
Designer Builder Brads (pack of 16 - $11.95)
Paper Doilies (pack of 24 - $4.95)
Itty Bitty Banners stamp set (Set of 6 stamps in wood - $27.95 or clear - $21.95)
Snail Adhesive ($11.95)

So to make this card (and many more - with 40 sheets of Cardstock you can technically make 80 standard sized cards!) you would spend $104.60 (plus postage and handling of course - $5.95 to anywhere in Australia)  And right now if you spend $100 you also qualify for a free Sale-A-Bration item from our special catalogue  - CLICK HERE to see it.  This offer goes until the 22nd March.  Of course you dont have to buy these items.. there are so many other options. But if you would like this pack of items, I will waive postage to the first three people who EMAIL me and purchase the above products.  You will also be sent a tutorial for the card. Dont forget that this offer is only available to Australian residents.

Here is a close up of the card front for you:

Loving the Pop-up Posies Designer Kit

One of the many gorgeous new items in the new Autumn catalogue is the Pop-Up Posies Designer Kit. I have to admit that I kind of overlooked it in my first few looks at the catalogue, but as so often happens, I started seeing some online projects that people had created with it.  And so I looked at it a bit more closely, and started visualizing some cool things to do with it.  I also liked what the team had designed in the catalogue itself, using the Fancy Favour box die.  So todays projects are the product of that thinking.

Tomorrow I have my new catalogue launch and my class is full! This cute little box above is one of our projects... hopefully they will love it.  :-)

Dont forget to contact me if you wish me to mail you a copy of the catalogue... or you can view it online by clicking HERE.

Here is a slightly different box... I do love the First Edition DSP.
