Cute huh??  You've probably seen these little boxes all over the place.. Im a bit slow getting on the bandwagon, but better late than never right??

The flowers are made with the Flower shop and Petite Petals stamps and matching punches. The DSP is my favourite "Modern Medley". The base colour is Primrose Petals.

I have two clubs this coming weekend, and I cant wait to make it with you guys!

And updating for those following along.. i have 12 envelopes left :-)  Watch this space for my big hooray!

Simple Stamping with Petal Parade

Some stamp sets are just really easy to stamp with. You dont have to do too much thinking about it.. just pick the coloured inks you want and just STAMP.

Petal Parade, one of our Sale-A-Bration freebies, is one such set. I've actually used this one more than I thought I would, and I've been really happy with the cards I've made with it. Today I tried a new favourite combination.. I've used some of our new Incolor range... Strawberry Slush, Crisp Cantaloupe, and Baked Brown Sugar. Don't those names sound edible?  Yummy!  Oh.. and I added a bow tied in our natural Chevron ribbon... I LOVE that ribbon!!!

If you want to get yourself a free SAB item before it comes to an end on the 31st March its easy! Just place an order of $90 or more to choose your free item. You can visit the Online Store to see the available items, and from there you can place your order really easily and it will be shipped directly to you, anywhere in Australia.

And right now I still have some envelopes left for all orders over $100. Click HERE to see my deal. But its going to run out quickly as the response has been amazing! Thank you to all those people who placed orders.... I am so close now. I cant wait to share with you my news :-)

Linda's Mega Giveaway! One week only or while stocks last!

Many of you would know that I've been working really hard these past months on getting myself on this year's Stampin'Up Incentive Trip (aka "Grand Vacation").  This year it's coming up fast.. its a Caribbean Cruise on the Royal Caribbean Cruise Liner "Allure of the Seas" and the boat sails from Florida on the 4th May. I really really want to be on it!  We'll be stopping in Haiti, Jamaica, and Mexico.  And even more pressure... my kids are nearly bursting with excitement to come with me!

But here's the thing: I haven't quite achieved it yet! And I only have one week left to do it... so that's until the 31st March. Luckily for me its Sale-A-Bration.. which means that all orders of Stampin'Up product over $90 gets customers a really awesome product reward from Stampin'Up.  And this awesome promotion also ends in just a week's time. Click HERE for more information about the Sale-A-Bration product offers.

But rather than leave anything at all to chance in this last week, I have decided to offer an extra special incentive ON TOP of the SAB rewards.

So first of all I decided what items would be great to offer as prizes:

Then I enlisted a willing 8-year-old to help me stamp 30 envelopes:

He did a fantastic job!!!

I wrote down all the prizes on pieces of paper, and then my assistant put them into envelopes for me, and sealed them.

And here is what we have now:

30 envelopes with a prize in each one!  So all you need to do to get yourself an envelope is to place an order with me for $100 or more in product value.  If I give away all these envelopes I will have earned the trip.. thats how close I am now!  For those of you coming to stamp clubs or workshops in the next week, you are also entitled to the envelopes with an order of $100 or more (and it's for every $100 so if you were ordering $200 worth of products you would get 2... and so on).

There are two ways to order.. directly with me via email - just click HERE to send an email through.  I accept cash, bank deposit or credit card :-)  OR if you prefer to do it the quick way, you can click HERE to go to my Online Store... you will be able to see the full product range, and choose your items in the store to be sent directly to you, anywhere in Australia. You just need your credit card for payment.  Every order helps... and you can win some great prizes!  The lowest value envelope is packs of A4 Cardstock at $11.95, the highest value is alphabet stamp sets worth up to $81.95. And there are lots of prizes somewhere in between.  Stamps, Framelits, patterned paper plus lots more.  Plus of course you will also qualify for a SAB item as well!  Not bad at all!

Important: When using the Online Store for your order please if possible use the Hostess code: YJW4S9HA

But there are only 30 envelopes... so its first in, best dressed!  This promotion is only available from myself, and will end on the 31st March or when all 30 envelopes are gone.. whichever comes first.

Check back over the coming week and I'll update you on my progress. Right now, I'm not far off my goal, so if i give away all 30 envelopes I'll be sailing the high seas in 6 weeks time.

I'm really looking forward to the post to tell you all that I have achieved the trip!  And finally when the kids ask me THAT question..."have you made it yet Mummy?" .....I cant wait to tell them "YES!"

Using up Scraps!

One of the cool things about all this SAB Sweet Sorbet paper I've been using is that I found I had lots and LOTS of scraps left over... so what's a girl to do with lots of scraps? Make a card of course! So I did.. I cut the little banners of Sweet Sorbet paper with my Big Shot (a die from one of the Thinlits packs), snailed them to the Crsip Cantaloup background and then added a sentiment and some glittery leaves. Easy!

Hope you like it too :-)

Sweet Sorbet Mojo Monday Sketch

As we head into the last week of Sale-A-Bration (SAB) for 2014, here's my latest play with these gorgeous products :-)

It's a very long time since I did a Mojo Monday entry.. but looking for inspiration today I made up this quick card after spotting this week's sketch.  Still loving these Sweet Sorbet papers!  I've paired it with other Sale-A-Bration products from Stampin'Up... the Embossing Dots embossing folder, and the "You're Lovely" stamp set.  (In case you are wondering each of these items can be yours free with a $90 order.. but only until the end of this month!)

To see the original sketch and other entries, you can visit the Mojo Monday site HERE.

Enjoy the card.. if you wish to place an order you can visit my online store HERE, or contact me by email HERE.

Have a creative day!

Another Sale-A-Bration freebie made into something "lovely"

So here is another card for you using one of our free Sale-A-Bration stamp sets. The stamped sentiment is from the "You're Lovely" stamp set, and I cut it out with the matching framelit die.. the "Deco Labels".  I love it when different products match together... and make your life so much easier in the process :-)

The black and white paper is from the "Modern Medley" paper pack.  The flowers are the Petite Petals bundle.. stamped, and then cut with the matching punch. I love how quickly this card came together.

Enjoy.. back with more very soon!

Incorporating Watercolouring into your Scrapbooking Layouts

To be honest, incorporating Watercolouring into your layouts is not the easiest of things to do. I did this layout for a Scrapbooking group.. but the intention was really to focus on the technique rather than on the layout design. I still think the colours came up well, and the ladies did enjoy learning a new technique.

The DSP tag is the "Watercolor Wonder"paper pack. (rrp $18.95)

I hope you like it too :-)

Upcoming class: Burlap and Blooms Simply Created Wreath

Who wants to make this gorgeous wreath with me??

Next week I have a class scheduled to make this awesome "Burlap and Blooms Simply Created Wreath".. the kit is available in our current Occasions Catalogue (133333 rrp $29.95) but I thought it might be fun to get together as a group and make them together. I still have spots left at the moment.. so if you have a free day on Wednesday 26th March, come along to class and make one with me. All materials are provided including adhesive and full instructions are given. I think the flowers are so cute its worth coming along just to learn how to make them.  And if you wish to stay for lunch.. thats provided too :-)  The class begins at 11am.

Cost of this class is $40 which includes your wreath kit. However I need to make sure that I have enough kits for everyone, so you will need to book your spot in the next couple of days or the supplies wont arrive in time. To book in, click HERE to email me.  Numbers are limited for this class, so don't muck about :-)  My classes are held on the Central Coast, and we use Stampin'Up products to create amazing things!

Thanks to Ellen who is one of my team members.... she created this particular wreath as I am waiting for mine to arrive.  But we will be making ours pretty much the same as this.

Here's a close up for you of what you will make:

Getting my Art on.. Watercolour backgrounds

I love watercolour techniques! How beautiful is this background? I think I might do a video tutorial on this one this week if people would like to see it??  But apologies in advance... there's no way that I could duplicate this background exactly.. that's one of the things that I love about watercolouring.. it turns out different every time.  Thats half the fun!

Here's the whole card:

And another close up:

I love the way the colours "float" together and blend so that it's hard to tell where one colour ends and the next begins.

Enjoy! And I'll be back real soon :-)

Happy Watercolor with the 2013-2015 Incolor Range

A few days ago I posted a photo of a card using the Happy Watercolor stamp set, and used all 5 of the Incolor Range...   I had a really great response to that last card... lots of pins on Pinterest, and some really nice comments on my Facebook Business page.

Well here's another one for you today :-)  Same colours, same stamp set.  I love that sets of stamps make it so easy to create a variety of different looks and projects.  I love to have options!  There's a close up of the detail on this card below...

Im off to do 2 workshops today with awesome customers... another tomorrow, and then a big Stamp Club scrapbooking group on Monday... should be a great weekend! I love what I do.. and even better they pay me to do it! :-)

I'll be back soon.. hope you are having an awesome day wherever you are!

Papaya Collage goes Grunge :-)

A change of pace today.. I was feeling a bit "grungey' (is that actually a word??) when I made this card. It's been a while since I pulled out the Papaya Collage stamp set.. but I really like it. So I had a play and used "Gorgeous Grunge" to create the splatter effect, and used a sponge and Soft Suede ink to grunge up the edges. Here is the result.

I masked off the centre so that the leaf stamp and the bird both appear to be inside the frame.

At the end I decided it needed a bit of bling and so I added some Gold Bakers twine and some of our new Sequin trim from the Occasions catalogue.

It's nice to do something different.

Back soon with some more In Color yumminess :-)

Hexagon Hive and Strawberry Slush

Yep, its another card made with the Hexagon Hive framelits die... how cute is it?  The flowers are stamped and punched with the Flower Shop set and matching punch, while the smaller flowers are the Petite Petals set and matching punch. Of course I blinged it up with some Stampin'Up adhesive rhinestones in different sizes.  This was really a quick card.. that framlit die makes it look like you went to lots of trouble.. but really you didn't. :-)

The background colours are Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay.. and the flowers are done in the very wonderful Strawberry Slush... even the name of that colour sounds yummy!!!

Have a creative day!

Linda :-)

Happy Watercolor Card with Petite Petals

How great do the current Incolor Range look when you put them all together??  They've always reminded me of Gelato colours, and I love this card just because it gave me an excuse to put those colours right up next to each other :-)

The stamp set is "Happy Watercolor".. I've been playing with it a bit this week, so you may get to see more samples in the coming days.  The little flowers are stamped with the Petite Petals stamps, and then punched out with the matching punch (these come as a bundle too... saving you 15%!)

To order these or any other Stampin'Up products.. please visit my Online Store.. or you can contact me via email as well. Orders can be shipped anywhere in Australia for a low postage charge.. oh.. and dont forget that until the end of this month you receive a Sale-A-Bration gift for every $90 order you place.

Here's a close up of the card for you... Happy Creating!

Video Tutorial: Sweet Sorbet Window Card

)

This week's video tutorial is this how to make this Window Card that was on my blog last week.  I had a couple of requests for the tutorial (see?  I do listen to what you guys want!) so I made it up yesterday.

The card is below.  Keep checking back as I will have the April class schedule up shortly :-)

Enjoy the tutorial :-)

Silver Embossed Vellum and Bermuda Bay

So if I had to pick my absolute favourite colour in our current range of colours, it would have to be Bermuda Bay. It's stronger than Pool Party or Coastal Cabana (which I also love) but not as dark as Island Indigo. But on this card I actually got to play with several blues at once, although the main feature is the Bermuda Bay background.  And of course I added ample amounts of silver to really glam it up :-)

How lovely is the current range of embossed vellum? It comes in packs of either silver or gold (I couldn't choose, so ended up getting both!) and you get 3 different designs in a pack. Its in our current Occasions Catalogue, so I am not sure we will have it after this catalogue ends in June. Make sure you get yours before then!

For those of you who don't know, I am getting ever closer to my goal of the Stampin'Up Caribbean cruise in May.. I only have 3 weeks left to qualify... but I am chasing that goal, and I can almost smell the sunscreen. I'll keep you posted as to how I go!

I hope you find time to flex your creative muscles today :-)  Here's a closer look at the card detail:

Hexagon Hive Spiral Flower Card

So I am making a concerted effort to use the Hexagon Hive frame lit die whilst I have the chance. I borrowed it off one of my team members and have been having a play.  Here is my latest attempt :-)

I used Perfect Plum cardstock to create the background.. and there is a piece of vellum in there to soften the piece at the back .  I stamped a flourish onto the paper doily, and then added a banner with the word  "Create".  The flower is made with Elegant Eggplant card stock, edged in white ink, and then attached with glue dots. The leaves are made with the little Leaves die in Pear Pizzaz.

It didnt take long to put this one together, but was kinda fun to make :-)

Back soon... Happy Creating! xx

Challenging myself with the Hexagon Hive Framelit and Sweet Sorbet

If you've been following me on my blog or Pinterest lately, you would know how much I LOVE the Sweet Sorbet paper pack that is one of our free offerings this month.  I love them all.. and have been using them Ad Nauseum. There is one however, that I dont like quite as much as the others. Well its not that I dont like it exactly, but I think it is hard to use. It's the one you see in the card in the post - the black and stripy paper. I've been using the reverse side of it (which is a lovely design in Crumb Cake) quite a lot, so there has certainly been no wastage. But for a while now I've been thinking... what can I do with that paper??

So tonight I challenged myself to use it. I had borrowed the Hexagon Hive Framelit from a team member (Hello Ellen!) and wanted to create something tonight so I can give it back to her tomorrow. So I came up with the idea of using the black stripy DSP behind the hexagon die (which I had cut from Silver Foil).  I added some Petite Petals flowers cut with the matching punch, and a word from the "Just Sayin" stamp set. I used the matching framelits to cut that one too.

So do I like it? Well its probably not my most favourite card ever.. mostly because its not really my style... but I am really chuffed that I came up with a way to use that paper that kinda works.

If you wish to place an order for Stampin'Up products, and you live anywhere in Australia, please visit my online store by clicking the "Shop Now" button on this page. Or you are welcome to contact me with any enquiries about products or about joining our amazing company.

Im off to a Scrapbooking workshop today.. I hope they like the layout I've chosen :-)

Embossed Arrows Butterfly Card

I have quite a big day today, so am just popping up a simple card as I start my day. I have a scrapbook workshop tomorrow, that needs to be prepared for.  I have the real estate agent coming to do a rent inspection so the house needs a good clean!  I have a date with the gym this morning. And I have two children to get off to school, and then sorted for the evening with them heading in different directions. Oh, and somewhere in there I hope to get my team newsletter out!  Life is busy, but I know Im no different to anyone else in that regard :-)

Thats why creating needs to be simple and quick! This is a quick card I whipped up last night to give to a downline who won one of the challenges we run on our team forum. We have challenges every month... sometimes they are colour or product challenges, sometimes inspriration, theme or sketch challenges. They seem to be quite popular... and i know i love seeing what they have created. I hope the recipient likes her card :-)

I sponged white ink over the embossed background, and added a piece of Sweet Sorber paper. The butterfly is from the "Beautiful Wings" embossing folder and cut from Crisp Cantaloup cardstock. I added a gold foil arrow, the ruffled ribbon, and a sentiment. All up the card took somewhere between 10 and 15 minutes to make. Here's the full card.

Sweet Sorbet Window Card

I've decided that the hardest thing about Window cards isn't  actually making them.... its photographing them in such a way so as to show off how beautiful they are! If you've been following me for a while though you will know how much I love them! After all the gorgeous creations I have been making with this year's free Sale-A-Bration papers ("Sweet Sorbet") you'd think I would have made a window card by now! But it suddenly occurred to me last night that I hadnt made one yet.. so I thought I'd better fix that :-)

For a great impact, this is such an easy card!  I used the circle framelits to cut out the two circles for the main feature. Then I cut the same larger sized circle out of the front of my card, and attached the main feature through the hole, onto the inside of the card. The sentiment is from the "Loving Thoughts" stamp set, and I used the little leaves die to cut the leaves from Silver glimmer paper on the bottom. The butterfly is cut from the "Beautiful Wings" die on my Big Shot, although you could just as easily use a punch as well.

Please let me know if you love this card by commenting on it here or on my Facebook business page. If I know its popular I was thinking it might make a good video tutorial... so if you'd like to see a video tutorial of this for my next video, please let me know!

I also wanted to mention that I have ONE SPOT LEFT in my Scrapbooking club. We meet on a Tuesday evening, once every second month. If you would like to create several beautiful scrapbook pages with me over the course of a year, CONTACT ME, and I will get some information to you.

Here's another photo of today's card so that you can see it slightly open...

Masked Background Scrapbook Layout

Today's post is a Scrapbook page I have made for an upcoming class... I used our Paper Lace Doilies, Soft Suede ink and sponging to create this cool background.  The strip of black and white DSP is from the Modern Medley paper pack, and the Coral dotty paper is from one of our 12x12 paper stacks.  I've used some Big Shot dies on this one too... the Scalloped edge is created with the"Tasteful Trim" die, and the film strip is created with the "On Film" framelits.

The flower is made with punches, and the Gold twine and sequin trim are both from our current Occasions catalogue.  The "smile" sentiment is from the " " stamp set, and lastly but not least... I used the Banner Punch to cut some of the paper to make the banner in the top right corner. The banner punch is currently free with an order of $90 or more, but only until the end of March :-)  In fact there is a whole catalogue of free items to pick from! If you want to see them visit the Online Store and check out the range.

Dont forget too that the Clearance Rack has been updated in the store! Lots of goodies... some as much as 80% OFF!  Grab a bargain!

Here's a closer pic of the detail on the page.  I snapped these photos during a trip to the beach just before Christmas... the kids were relaxed and clowning around, so it made for a fun photo session.  Enjoy!

Sweet Sorbet Banners and Butterflies

Yep, I've been having a play again with the Sweet Sorbet DSP.... I seriously can't stay away from those colours!  I added the Embossed dots background... both the papers and embossing folder are current freebies as part of Sale-a-Bration this year.. you spend $90 (by ordering direct with me OR by ordering online) and you get to pick one of the free items. There are lots to choose from!

When I was done I felt that the card just needed something... and thats how the butterflies got onto this card :-)

Happy creating! See you tomorrow!

Here's this week's video showing how I made the label... enjoy and I'll be back with more to inspire you soon :-)

3D Shadow stamping class this week... Still spots left!

I have a technique class coming up this week to show off a great technique! It's known as either 3D or Shadow stamping... and right here you can see an example of that! This is actually one of three projects that we are making at the class.  If you would like to come along and see how I created this cute card, learn how to do it yourself, and of course head home with three completed projects... this is the class for you!
Here are the details:

Tuesday 4th March @ 7.30pm

or

Wednesday 5th March @ 11am.

All materials and refreshments are provided, and the cost of the class is $20.  I hold classes on the Central Coast of NSW.  If you would like to come along, or to find out more, email me by clicking HERE

Im looking forward to a fun class and sharing it with you :-)

So Very Grateful Circle Card

It's true.. I do have a bit of a "thing" for unusually shaped cards :-)  This time I played with the Circles Framelits for my card shape. I used the largest die (with the scalloped edge) for my card base in Crisp Cantaloup. Then stamped the "So Very Grateful" largest stamp on the smaller circle made from Naturals Ivory cardstock. The sentiment is from the same stamp set. I am really glad I got this set.. I've used it quite a lot, and it does make lovely cards.

I coloured the flowers lightly with blender pens (I used Crisp Cantaloup, Calypso Coral and Pear Pizzaz) and added some gold bakers twine and some adhesive pearls to the centre of some of the flowers. The layer's edges are sponged with Soft Suede to soften the whole effect.

This was a pretty quick card... I had the idea in my head whilst I was out to dinner last night with a lovely friend, and so when I got home I sat straight down and made it before I headed bed. Designs just come to me like that sometimes... I often think of them at times you wouldn't expect :-)

Enjoy today's card.. don't forget I have quite a few upcoming classes.. so check out the right hand side bar of this blog to see if one would suit you!

Have fun xx

Fresh Prints Chalkboard Banner card

A nice simple one for you today. :-)  I used my banner punch (one of our FREE items when you spend $90 before the end of March 2014) to punch out some of the papers from the Fresh Prints pack... LOVE those colours together! I strung them on some baker's twine, and attached them with Dimensionals to the background. The background is created using the Chalkboard technique, and I freehanded the border around the edge with the Chalk marker from our current Occasions catalogue. The "Enjoy" stamp is out of the "Simply Celebrate" stamp set.

But it's cute hey??

To purchase any of these items for yourself, visit my online store by clicking on the "Shop Now" button. End "Enjoy" :-)
