Another Blended Bloom and Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities

I have my Introductory Blendabilities classes this week, with 13 wonderful ladies booked in to have fun with these amazing Blending pens. Todays card is another sample of what you can do with them, and the kind of depth you can achieve when colouring.

Once again I have used the Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities (my favourite colour at the moment I think) to paint the flower, and have used some of our new "Back To Black" DSP behind it.  Its simple, but I think quite striking.

If anyone wants to come to class on Tuesday evening 29th July (7.30pm) I can squeeze in another one or two people.  However, you will need to share my pen pack as I have only ordered as many packs as I have people booked it. But we can make it work Im sure! The Wednesday day class is completely booked out :-)  To book the last spots in the Tuesday evening class click HERE.  My classes are held on the Central Coast, NSW.

Here is close up for you….

Blendabilities and the Kind Koala stamp

Many of you would know I am running my Blendabilities class next week.  I am excited that lots of people want to see them up close, and I have been playing with them over the last couple of days to create new samples to show.  My 11 year old also had a go with them, and I thought her colouring was beautiful (I'll put photos of Miss E's work on my Facebook page).  Once you know what you are doing, its easy to get beautiful results.

Here's one of my sample cards… I used the "Kind Koala" stamp (available in the newly released annual catalogue) and coloured it with the Smoky Slate blendability pack.  Im not normally into "cutesy" stamps, but I love this little guy, and he has been pretty popular I must say.  And one of my favourite thing about the Blendabilities is the fact that you can use them to colour other embellishments too… so the flower centres are our basic rhinestones coloured to suit! Cool :-)

To order any of these or other SU products… click on the words SHOP NOW on this page :-) Items are shipped to any address in Australia for a low postage charge.

I hope you enjoy this card too!  Here's a close up for you:

Video Tutorial: Simple Heart Box and matching cards

Today I am sharing with you the tutorial of this box from this month's stamp clubs. All my stamp club girls enjoyed them and I loved making them too.  My stamp clubs are all bi-monthly, and each time we make a different type of project… something special every time.  Of course I am now planning the NEXT stamp club project for September. :-)

In fact I am starting up a new stamp club in either August or October if anyone is interested in one.. please let me know. There is a minimum $50 product spend for each member at each club get together and thats your only commitment. And then you all take turns at being the hostess each time… so one of you always get the benefits of that with some free product.  You can contact me HERE to express your interest if Stamp Club sounds like you.

In the meantime, enjoy the tutorial!

Ornament Keepsakes for a traditional Christmas

Is it too early to get ready for Christmas?  Apparently not, according to my customers! Every month I run Stamp-A-Stacks (where we make 6 cards for $20) and usually in the first half of the year these are cards for random events - birthdays, Thank-yous, Sympathy etc etc But by the middle of the year, they are asking me when the Christmas Stamp-a-Stacks will begin.  So this year I started them this month (July 2014) and will continue to hold them every month until December. Which means that there will be 36 cards if people come along to all of them. I try to keep the cards relatively simple so that they can be easily duplicated at home should the sender wish to make more of them.

This month we did some non-traditional coloured cards, and this one, which is more traditional.  I used the Ornament Keepsakes stamp set (and matching framelits) as these only have another month to run before they are discontinued. I know lots of folk out there have them, and so its great to be able to show another idea for using them. Of course if you don't have them yet you can always visit the ONLINE STORE and search the word "Ornament" and they will all come up for you.  Shopping in the Online Store is easy… all you need is your credit card, and the items will be shipped directly to your door!

I also used the "Flowering Flourishes" stamp set for the branch behind the ornament, and I embossed the Gold Foil paper for the strip across the bottom to make it look a little more vintagey :-)  The sentiment is from the "More Merry Messages" stamp set.

Here's the full card for you… enjoy!

Blendabilities class is closing soon.. Don't miss out!

Possiblity by now you have heard the buzz about the new alcohol-based markers by Stampin'Up. They are called "Blendabilities" and they quite beautiful, and lend themselves to a variety of techniques and different ideas. With this in mind I have a technique class coming up soon where I will be teaching how to use them.. both for colouring images and other ideas too. There is a bit of a trick to using them, but once you know, and have a play with them.. you are going to love how easy they are, and how clever they make you look!

The class INCLUDES a pack of Blendabilities - you will each receive a pack of "Cherry Cobbler" blendys to work with in class, and I have priced the class to take this into account. The normal retail price of the new markets are $20.95 (plus p&h) for a set of 3. The class price will be $35 to include this. (The cherry cobbler markers were used to colour the larger of the 3 flowers on the above card)

Because I need to know how many Blendabilities to order, i need to finalise numbers for this class by the close of business today (21st July). At time of writing the day class is almost booked out, but there are still a few places in the evening class.

Here are the dates:

Tuesday 29th July @ 7.30pm

OR

Wednesday 30th July @ 11am.

All materials and refreshments are provided and you will go home with several cute projects, and lots of great ideas.

To reserve your spot, email me by clicking HERE.

New Stitched Satin Ribbion SHARE in the New SU Colours…Get yours here

Im starting a new ribbon share this month, and you can see the ribbons that we are sharing in the pic above. So here's how it works….

I am looking for 6 more people (already 2 people have jumped on board) for a total of 8 people.  You will each receive shares of the 5 rolls of new colour ribbon. So each share is approximately 1.13m of ribbon. You can choose to receive more than one share if you wish.

1 share of all colours = $12
2 shares of all colours = $20

The postage cost is included in these prices.

The ribbons are normally sold in rolls of 9.1m for $15.95 (plus postage) and that option is also available if you know you are going to need a lot of one colour. However, if you prefer to have a range of colours so that you can sample them all, then a share may be right for you.

To take part in the share, please email me by clicking HERE.

Here's a close up of the ribbon so you can see the detail of the ribbon… its great on projects of all kinds. I know you are going to love these ribbons on your projects :-)

Unfortunately I am only able to offer this share deal to Australian customers.

Flower Frenzy and the Striped Scallop Framelits - CUTE!

I am having so much fun playing with my new products from the newly released Catalogue, and wanted to show you some of what I've been creating. I chose the Flower Frenzy Bigz die… almost as an afterthought… but as we don't have our "Little Leaves" die anymore (it was discontinued last month) I thought those leaves would come in handy. Especially as they are right as the end of the die, so you only have to use just the leaves if thats all you actually want. But how beautiful are the flowers? I played with them in lots of different ways, but here I have simply layered them to create one larger flower, and I LOVE how easy they are to use.

For my background i pulled out my new Striped Scallop framelits die… I love this one too! I used it with some new Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper to create a shimmery background. :-)

If you'd like to make cards or layouts like these, email me by clicking HERE. My current class schedule is over in the right hand sidebar of this blog. Classes are held on the Central Coast.  Or you can purchase any products I use in my Online Store… click HERE for that one.

This card makes me happy! And i hope it makes you happy too!

Cards for a Cause… Flamingo Lingo in PINK!

And what other other should Flamingos be after all?

This is a simple little card that I've created for a team event tonight :-)  We are again making cards for Ronald MacDonald House charities… of which Stampin'Up is a global sponsor.  And the "Flamingo Lingo" stamp set is this year's RMH set.. $3 from the sale of every set goes to this very worthwhile charity group. We have a rep from RMH at Gosford Hospital coming along to see what we get up to.  And we hope to be able to donate a good stash of cards again this time. There are a couple of designs that we will be doing so that they will have a good stash of cards to sell.

If anyone is looking for somewhere to donate cards, this is a great place to consider!  They are very much appreciated. For more information feel free to contact me by clicking HERE.

Hope you enjoy the card :-)

We will be making 6 cards (3 each of 2 different designs) for a cost of $20, including envelopes. The idea is, if you come along to all six months of Stamp-A-Stacks between now and Christmas, you will have 36 Christmas cards, and a whole bunch of inspiring designs. Plus will have shared creative time with other crafty folks. And I'd love to see you :-)

Email me by clicking HERE to reserve your spot.

Star Box for Gift giving

I love our ready-made boxes!  We have several sizes available for gift giving, and you get several boxes in a pack to keep handy for when you have to throw together a gift for someone special.

This week I had a birthday gift to give a wonderful friend, and the little diary I had bought for her fit snugly in one of our large Kraft gift boxes. But not wanting to send a naked box (of course) I decided to spruce it up a bit. I cut a star in the lid with my Big Shot and our new Stars framelit dies, and then attached a slightly larger star cut from our Window Sheets to make the window. The i used white ink and our new Stars and Hearts Decorative masks to make little stars all over the outside of the box. I put the gift inside and then tied it all up with some Natural Chevron ribbon.

And guess what? She loved it! Although it is possible she liked the box better than the contents! :-)

Here's a better photo of the star on top:

Kinda Eclectic Incolors for 2014-2016

I've been having a LOT of fun with all the new stuff in the new Stampin'Up Catalogue which was released on the 1st July.  This card was one of the projects that I created for my launch events that I held on the weekend.  I wanted to show off the new colours, and also to use a brand new stamp set, and I managed to do both with this card!

The set is called "Kinda Eclectic" and I love it because its a "real stamping" set. What do I mean by that? Well there are some sets that just invite you to stamp with them… nothing clever or fancy, no special techniques required… just ink up and STAMP. And I love that you can combine these stamps in any kind of collagey way (not sure if thats a word, but it is now) and it just works somehow?  I especially love the big sunshiny stamp :-)

If you would like to check out our new catalogue, or to order any of the available products you can visit the ONLINE STORE right here on my page.

I hope you like it :-)  Here's a close up for you.

Moonlight Paper Box

How cute is this little box?  It's one of the items we'll be making at my launch this weekend (only 2 spots left at time of writing!)

I am really enjoying the Incolors this year. This paper is one of our smaller paper stacks, and is called "Moonlight".  I particularly love the pairing of Blackberry Bliss and Hello Honey together :-)  And this box is super easy and quick to do.  I also used the Hello Honey Stitched Satin ribbon and made the tag using the new "Hello There" stamp set.

I love playing with new stuff! And I love showing you. So if you want to get your hands on these items and much more, contact me to come to launch either Saturday night or Sunday afternoon.  Or visit the Online Store.  There's so much to enjoy in this new catalogue :-)

Loving Bloom with Hope - On Film!

I have a feeling you might be seeing this gorgeous "Bloom with Hope" stamp set quit a bit this new catalogue year! I just love it.. the last card I showed you was done in neutral tones, but this time I've gone for colour with our new Blendabilities Alcohol-based markers. Loving all the beautiful tones and how easily they blend together (hence the name).  On this card I've teamed my flower with the "On Film" framelit dies, and have cut my frame from the "Moonlight" DSP stack. I finished it off with a little silver ribbon.

Even though the colour in the DSP is the new "Blackberry Bliss", I think it teams beautifully with the Rich Razzleberry in the flower.  What do you think??

And I should probably mention that "Bloom with Hope" is a hostess set so is priced very reasonably for such a large set! But the only way to get it is to host a workshop… so get your skates on and book yours soon to make the most of the new catalogue excitement :-)
