Botanicals for You - another free stamp set with a $90 order from Stampin'Up Australia

I love this SAB stamp set! It's called "Botanicals for You" and is one of the free offerings in this year's SAB catalogue that begins on the 5th January 2016.   With every $90 you spend on SU product you can choose another free product.  I will have the links to the catalogues up here on the 5th January or you can just visit the Online Store to see it all.

Im a sucker for Gold or Silver on my projects.... I do love the look of it here with the Crumb cake.  The paper is from the Love Blossoms DSP stack, also in the upcoming Occasions catalogue.

Enjoy the card and I will be back to show you more real soon!

Another Sneak Peek at new Occasions catalogue products....

Time for another sneak peek today... this time its the new "Balloon Builders" stamp set from the Upcoming Occasions catalogue due out on the 5th January 2016. I've also used the "Love Blossoms" Designer series Paper stack... this is one of the 6x6" stacks and I so love the colours in this pack! The Rose Red, and Blushing Bride contrast so well with the crumb cake... to me its a delicious combination!

And how beautiful is that Blushing Bride glimmer paper?  So excited to use it a LOT!

If you are in Australia, to purchase any of the new products come back on the 5th January and click the "Shop Now" button above... you'll find it all in the Online Store.

In the meantime enjoy all the sneak peeks!

Bring on the Bling! The December Mediterranean Achievers Blog Hop!

Welcome back to another Blog Hop with the Grand Vacation Achievers! This month the theme is "Bring on the Bling" and the truth is that I considered sitting this one out... what with Christmas, a holiday away AND a wedding in the planning there sure is a lot going on around here right now. But with a "bling" theme.... well how on earth could I not be part of that?  Most of you would know that all things shiny feature frequently on my cards... well who am I kidding... almost ALL of them if you actually look closely!

So this month I wanted to show you something else from our soon-to-be-released Occasions catalogue... this catalogue begins on the 5th January 2016, and if you are in Australia then you will be able to order from it right here by clicking on the "Shop Now" button.  The takes you to the Online Store, and you'll be able to browse through the catalogue at your leisure. Of course you might prefer to leaf through an actual real life catalogue too... to get one of those, please contact me by the 24th December, as I will be away on leave for a little while after Christmas.

Today's projects use the "Sunburst Sayings" stamp set bundled with the Sunburst Thinlits die. This was one of my "must haves" from the catalogue... in fact I'll be running a class with it... probably in March. It really is fabulous and gives you so many options for occasions to use it.

I made the card first and then I thought it would also translate well to a gift bag, so I made one of those too. I do hope you enjoy these... and they sure were fun to create!

And here's a tip:  I went to use a metallic peg on top of the bag, but discovered I was completely out of gold metallic pegs. So instead I used one of the plain wooden pegs (currently on sale by the way!) and used my new Wink of Stella glitter brush in Gold to make my peg into a gold metallic peg!  Its a bit hard to see in the photo, but I assure you it is glittery :-)

I will be updating my Facebook Business page with holiday photos  over the Christmas and New Year period, and have scheduled some posts here too to show you some more of the new product offering!  To purchase from the sale (which ends on the 4th January) please use the "Shop Now" button or click HERE.

You'll find all the girls doing the blog hop this month in the list below... just click on the next name to continue the hop!  We have so many talented girls who take part in these blog hops, and I've enjoyed being part of every one!

In the meantime I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS... and a truly wonderful NEW YEAR.  I hope that 2016 brings you lots of awesome creative moments and that you spend it with people that you love and cherish.

Last minute preparations and production lines....

Im enjoying a few days away over this weekend. I've come down to the gorgeous South Coast of NSW to spend some quality time with my gorgeous friend Vanessa.  We try to come down here at least once each school holiday period, usually just to "be", to talk, and to create together. And when life has been beating me down a little, I love that this is a safe place for both myself and my children. We've been coming here so many years now, that it feels like a second home, and all three of us are immediately comfortable when we walk in the door.

This time though, I actually have a mission to complete.  Ness and I are planning on putting together my wedding invitations.... in amongst all the hustle and bustle of Christmas I actually am trying to organise a wedding at the same time. No wonder Im tired!  But slowly its all coming together, and the invitations are one of the small but important details that needs to be considered. I designed them a couple of weeks ago. I was going to do a few different designs that I had ideas for, but then the first one turned out pretty nice, and I thought, you know what.... that will be good enough! And I do like that that they are meaningful for us.

Of course I cant show you the invites yet... I'd like to get them out first to our guests. But I promise to show you when I can. In the meantime I thought you'd like to see the production line as it is happening.

And the card above is another creation with new products from this weekend's creativity. I used the "Memories in the Making"cards from our SAB free selection... the acetate piece on this card forms a simple background.

I hope you are all winding down before Christmas and making sure that life isn't too stressful :-)

Enjoy!

Mojo Monday 428 - Birthday Blooms from the Upcoming Occasions Catalogue 2016

When I am pre-ordering my products from an upcoming catalogue, I always try to order things that I think will appeal to my customers. I think about what techniques I would like to teach, what new products need to be shown so that customers can really see what they are all about.  I try to make good business decisions about what will work, and buy accordingly. I don't always get it right, but I'm usually pretty close.

But there is almost always something on my demonstrator pre-order that is really just for me.. just because I love it, not motivated by any particular business reason.

"Birthday Blooms" was one of those sets for me, and also the matching DSP.  I just loved the softness of it, and knew that it was a set I would come back to again and again.

Today I've used it to create card using the Mojo Monday sketch.  I love a good card sketch and its fun interpreting them in a way that is just my own.  Here is the sketch that I followed:

This one was really enjoyable, and I got to use quite a few of my new favourite products on this card... the stamp set and DSP, plus glitter ribbon, and the new Blushing Bride glimmer paper. These new products are just DIVINE... just my thing! I also added some Wink of Stella glitter to the centre of my flower (its a bit hard to photograph though).

I hope you enjoy the card!

First look at SALE-A-BRATION 2016.... The Sky's the limit!

Every year I know many of you (and me too!) look forward to the awesome promotion that is Sale-A-Bration, or SAB as we like to call it. I have hostesses that book their workshops at this time of year every to maximise the benefits they can get. And it also the time of year that many customers decide that its time to become demonstrators themselves (or rejoin if they've been previous demonstrators) and get some of the added benefits for themselves. This year SAB will begin on January 5th 2016.

This year is no exception... we are again celebrating SAB with some awesome deals and benefits.  For every $90 you spend on SU products you will be able to select a free product from the SAB catalogue... and we have some great free products on offer this year. Please note that some of the SAB items are only available from January 5th to

I thought I'd show you the first couple of SAB items I've played with... the "Sky is the limit" stamp set, PLUS I've also used the "Perfectly Artistic" Designer Series Paper. I love all those lovely marbled papers in gelato-esque colours!  I stamped the aeroplane image onto the paper and cut it out with my circle framelits through the Big Shot. Its a very simple card that took only a few minutes to put together, but I like how it turned out. I especially love that this stamp set will be great for guys!  Either the stamp set or papers are free with a $90 order!

If you'd like to see what else I get up to and other creations please visit and "like" my Facebook Business Page.... there's always something going on over there!  Or if you'd like to make a purchase anytime of SU products in our Year-End Sale please visit my Online Store... click HERE to be taken to the store!

Memory Keeping with Project Life by Stampin'Up Blog Hop..... Hello December!

Although I had decorated the outside of my December Daily album and even made the title page, until this weekend, I hadn't had a lot of time to get started on actually putting the pages together. I was also quite ill for the second half of last week, which did slow me down considerably.  However I have been making sure I've been taking lots of photos on most days, so when I finally sat down this weekend to put some of the pages together, there was still plenty to work with.

And thats something i love about this system... you can diarise your life in pictures, but without it interrupting your schedule or stopping you from enjoying the moment.  On the contrary, I think it highlights them.  And as it's such a crazy time of year, I find that taking the time out to document what you are doing day to day actually makes you slow down a little, and celebrate all those small moments that you might otherwise just forget about.

I've popped up a few of my favourite pages so far so you can enjoy them too.  I find that the secret to doing a December daily album is to not overthink what you are doing.. keep it simple and keep moving. You can always come back and add more detail/bling/embellishments as needed. Just use photos of lots of everyday moments.. the big and the small... and tell your story.

I really love the colours in this year's December offering. The set is called "Hello December" and I've used both the card collection and various items from the matching Accessory Pack. It's worth mentioning that if you love these too, both are on the retiring list which means that they will only be available until the current catalogue ends on the 4th January 2016. After that they are gone, so grab them while you can! (If you are in Australia and would like to order, you can click HERE to visit the online store)

Beyond all that, I am just excited to be almost up to date with the album! And its already the 14th!

If you would like to come along to learn more about or play more with Project Life, my next Project Life class is on the Tuesday 12th January @ 7.30pm.

As a member of the Memory Keeping with Project Life by Stampin'Up Design Team I am excited to again be part of this month's blog hop.  To see the other girl's work this month please click the links below....

Christmas Candle Gift Bag

This morning I was looking at the products that are currently featured in our End of Year Sale and was realising just how many of them I am going to miss when they are gone! So I pulled out a couple of my favourite retiring products and created just with those.  The little Candle gift bag here is one of the projects I came up with.

I made the basic box with the Gift Bag punch board... thankfully this is NOT retiring at the current time! I really have become more and more a huge fan of the punch boards... I have all three (Envelope, gift box and gift bag) and find myself quite often pulling them out to use. Today I wanted to feature the gorgeous holiday fancy foil vellum that is not only on the retiring list but also listed in the sale (normally $19.25, now only $11.55!).  So I made the small sized gift box (starting with the vellum measured at 6" x 10") and then decorated it simply with a tag.

I've used almost all retiring products for this project.  Here's what i used:

Gift Box Punch Board ($32)
Holiday Fancy Foil vellum (was $19.25, now $11.55)
Mint Macaron Cardstock ($12.25 for a pack of 24 A4 sheets)
Winter Wonderland Washi Tape (was $8.75, now $5.25)
Winter Wonderland Embellishments (was $12.25, now $10.41)
Snowflake Elements ($10.50)
Gold Cording Trim ($8.75)
Clothespins ($7.00)

Birthday Blooms Sneak Peek for the upcoming Occasions Catalogue 2016

In amongst all the Christmas preparations I have started to play with some of the new products that I have received as part of my Demonstrator preorder.  Its so exciting getting to play with new stamps and papers.... and its so relaxing and therapeutic too!  Especially at such a chaotic time of year!  Just spending a few quite moments designing and getting a feel for the latest items sometimes is just what I need!

The card today is my first play with the "Birthday Blooms" stamp set.  I usually choose my order carefully.. making sure everything I buy is going to be useful from a business point of view. But sometimes I also buy something just because I love it... sure I can still use it in my business.. but its ordered more because its something i just love and it resonates with me. This set and the matching Designer Series Paper were in the "just because I love them" category.

I heat-embossed the main image in white on Mint Macaroon cardstock, and then coloured it with ink and blender pens.  The paper is the matching "Birthday Blooms" paper pack... how soft and beautiful are there colours??

Enjoy the card and i'll be making lots more to show you!!

(If you'd like to see more of my work and specials too please "like" my Facebook Business Page! )

Wonderland Sampler card with lots of bling for Christmas

Today I held my Wonderland Christmas frame class, and tonight I had a little play with some of the leftover squares. These are super fun to put together!  I love the idea of creating sampler squares with a favourite suite from the catalogue.  You can make a bigger project, like the frame, or stay small with just a card. Both are beautiful!

I hope you enjoy today's card... i'll be back to show you more so stay tuned :-)

If you'd like to see more of what I get up to, visit my Facebook Business Page!

Note: If you'd like to see the original frame click HERE... My frame was inspired by the talented LeeAnn Greff in the US :-)

Fancy Foil Vellum makes the most beautiful Christmas Cards!

I have a stamp-a-stack tomorrow and I've been creating some cards to make with those coming along. We are making 6 cards as always (3 each of two different designs) and i wanted to show you one of the designs.

I struggled to decide whether to do this card as landscape or portrait orientation... both seem to work, and when I asked the question on my FACEBOOK BUSINESS PAGE, more people definitely preferred the landscape version (although there were votes for both).  So tomorrow I am going to give a choice to those that come along.

If you find yourself with a few hours to spare... the class starts at 11am and costs $20.  All materials are provided as well as a light lunch afterward.

I used the Holiday Fancy foil vellum on this card (I so love it!) and it makes the whole card come alive!  I've added the products used below, so that you can easily purchase your own if you wish. The vellum will actually be retiring at the end of the Holiday catalogue period (unless it sells out first) so if you love it.. don't wait!  Or if you need to contact me or find out anything more click HERE.

I hope you enjoy these cards!

The Grand Vacation Achiever's Blog Hop and bonus Video Tutorial! Seeing 3D!

Welcome back for another month of the Grand Vacation Achiever's Blog Hop! This month's theme is "Seeing 3D" and I am excited to show you a gorgeous 3D project this time :-)  You may have come to my blog via another achiever's blog... welcome!  To visit the next blog on the hop you can go to the bottom of this page and you will find the list of the other demonstrators there... click on the next name below mine :-)

Of course its a Christmas theme as it is November after all!  This is actually the creation I made with my November stamp clubs and they LOVED it!  Now that both of this month's club have made it, I can show you too. I also made a video to show how it is done... its a longer video than my usual ones, but I decided to include instructions on how to make the box itself as well as how to create the window.  (The box uses the Gift Box Punch board)

I suggested to my stamp club ladies that they could use this as a Christmas Table decoration, a gift, or a mantelpiece decor item.  Whatever you choose to do with it, I can promise you that it's a beautiful and different way to celebrate the season :-)

If you live in Australia and you would like to purchase any of the products to make this or any other paper craft project... visit my Online Store by clicking the SHOP NOW button to the right.   Or if you would like to see even more of what I get up to in my creative life.. head over to my Facebook Business page... there's usually something going on there!

And lastly, if you are interested in joining in with a Stamp Club group in 2016 please let me know as I have some spaces opening up.  I am taking names of interested parties at the moment.

Here is the video if you'd like the instructions on how to create it:

The first 5 minutes of the video are dedicated to showing how to create the box with the punch board, so if you don't need to know that bit you can skip the first 5 minutes or so.  :-)

And here is the list of demonstrators taking part in the hop this time.....click on the next name to see whats next and thanks for visiting!

A Baby Pillow Box!

I love it when a product or tool that you love can be used in several different ways!  And our new Square Pillow Box framelit die is one such product!  You can use it as is, add a window or cute embellishments (included with the framelit set) or make it larger.  Or smaller, like the one here!

This is a very cute way to use the die and I'll be showing how to do this at tomorrow's Pillow Box project class. I do still have a couple of spots if anyone is interested... I run my classes on the NSW Central Coast, and I use products from Stampin'Up Australia's gorgeous product line.

Here are the details...

11am Wednesday 25th November. All materials supplied and cost includes a light lunch.  Cost is $25, and you will go home with several completed projects that you have created yourself :-)

If you'd like to join us, please click HERE and let me know. Address details will be given on booking.

And I'll also show you how to alter the size of the box to give you more options when using the die.

The class will be held here on the Central Coast (NSW) at 11am on Wednesday 25th November.  The cost is $25 and includes all materials as well as lunch afterward if you wish to stay for that. To book your spot click HERE.

Video Tutorial: Using Alignment Tabs for Easy Stamping!

Today I was working on some thank you cards to send to my October Online customers and this is what I ended up creating. I used the "Garden in Bloom" stamp set..... this one is in our Annual catalogue and its a great set! So many cute little images with flowers, leaves, butterflies and bees... how can you go wrong? And the sentiments in the set are cute too.

This is a 2-step stamping set, and photopolymer stamps are awesome for 2-step sets (or 3-step or 4-step!) because you can see where you are going with your stamps. However some of our sets have an even easier way to line up the stamps, and that is done with the use of "Alignment Tabs".  I decided that the best way to explain them was to make a video... so you will find that video below.

Here are the supplies I used for this card today.... To order your own supplies visit my Online Store!

Welcome to the November Blog Hop with Project Life by Stampin'Up!

Welcome to another blog hop for the MKPLSU design team! (Thats "Memory Keeping with Project Life by Stampin'Up" in case you didn't know!)  Im excited to be part of the hop again this month and this month our theme was "My Favourite Kit"!  Really though, this theme put me in somewhat of a spin because I LOVE THEM ALL!  Picking one is a bit like being asked to pick your favourite child.. well maybe not quite that bad... but it was tricky!

If I was forced to pick just one, it was still a toss up.  Right now I am really loving the "Seasonal Snapshot" card kit and assessory pack, and you might remember I have shown you layouts with that one a few times lately.  In particular I ADORE the crumb cake (Kraft) coloured cards in that kit. But over the past year, the kit I seem to keep going back to is the "Let's get Away" kit... perhaps that is because its so perfect for Holiday photographs and layouts, and I've had a few of those to show off!  I love that the turquoise in the kit (Bermuda Bay) goes so perfectly with pics of the water,  and the other bright colours make the pages "pop".

So as I've been trying to catch up with my Hawaii trip photos, I thought I'd show you a couple of layouts I've been creating of late.

When you are using Project Life cards.. don't feel that you have to use them "as is".. you can alter them to suit or fit your layout.  So on this page I used the Washi Tape in the accessory kit to tape a 3"x4" journalling card to a 4"x4" patterned piece.. it gave me journalling room on a 4"x4" card, whilst still getting some of the pattern design showing at the sides.  And on the right hand side you can see I used the banner that says "Our Travels".. i actually cut that out of another card because the little banner suited my page.  And once again, I wanted the black and white pattern behind on the 4x4 card.

I did the same thing with the "You are here" card.. which was 3"x4" but I wanted to use it so used washi to attach it to my 6"x4" card.

I hope you are enjoying these layouts... don't forget to click on the links below to see the other design team member's creations this month!

I'll be back to show you lots more really soon!
