What? Is that a Christmas card I see?

Yep! Sure is....

Believe it or not we are less than 6 month's away from Christmas (I know you really wanted to hear that right?) and so by popular demand we begin making Christmas cards in the second half of the year.  At my Christmas Stamp-A-Stacks you will make 6 cards each time so you could have made up to 36 cards if you come to all 6 month's classes between now and Christmas.  (And I may do more depending on demand!)

My day Christmas card Stamp-A-Stack is already full this Wednesday, but I do have a couple of spots available on Tuesday evening at 7.30pm. Then that one will be full too! Christmas cards are certainly popular!

Cost is $20 and the class runs from 7.30pm- 9.30pm (approximately) so come along and get started on your Christmas cards!

Welcome to the Grand Vacation Achievers Blog Hop

Yep... we're back for another month and I'm really excited to be part of it again! This month we are showcasing awesome Stampin'Up products from our newly released Annual Catalogue (which only came out on the 2nd June!), and its a fun challenge we are doing this time. It's called "Perfect Pairs" and the idea is that we pair existing products with something brand new from the Annual Catalogue. The whole purpose is to inspire you to create your own gorgeous projects!  Of course everything you see in the hop is available for purchase... just contact me to order yours!

I've really indulged myself with this card!  Those who know me well will know that I favour softer colours, and adore vellum.. especially if its embossed!  So I used one of my favourite flourish sets in the background and then layered up the butterflies from our new Watercolor Wings set with the matching framelits.

Here's the products I used for the challenge we were presented with this month:

Existing products: 'Flowering Flourishes' stamp set, 'Choose Happiness' Stamp set. White Vellum, Gold Foil, Fancy Foil Designer Vellum, Blushing Bride Cardstock, Shimmery White Cardstock, Gold Metallic Twine, Gold embossing Powder, Blushing Bride and Whisper white inks.

New products: 'Watercolor Wings' stamp set, and Bold Butterfly framelits

Any items you wish to order are available in my online store... click HERE to go shopping!  Thank you so much for visiting my blog... I hope you like my creations this month!  Visit the next blog in the hop by finding my name on the list below and then clicking on the next name after mine.  I have to tell you I have been blown away every month by the amazing talents from this group of bloggers.... what a privilege to be part of this group!

I also have an idea in my head for a Scrapbook Page with this theme... let me know when you comment if you'd like to see it!  And head over to my FACEBOOK PAGE to see more of what I create day-to-day.... its the best way to keep up with my crazy life and awesome business adventures.

Here's a close up of my card for you:

Here's the full list of blogs in the BlogHop so you can easily move to the next one (or go back to another on the list if you NEED to see their creations again lol)

Project Life is awesome for those little moments you want to remember!

I've been playing with Project Life ever since Stampin'Up introduced it into its range last year... and I think I am a bit addicted to it. I started traditional scrapbooking when my daughter was about a year old (she'll be 13 this year) and I loved everything about it from the beginning.  However as time went by I became frustrated with a couple of things. 1. The amount of time and emotional energy I was putting into every page. I had way more photos than I could ever catch up with! It was slow (and I am possibly the world's slowest scrapbooker). 2. The amount of money I was spending just to find the right embellishment and actually find items that matched each other.

In short it all got a bit too hard, slow and expensive... and I found that my scrapbooking stalled altogether for a few years. Which was great for card making and other pastimes as I poured my efforts into those.  But truth be told, I missed the scrapbooking and how I felt whenever I actually completed a page.

Enter project life.  I had started working with a couple of scrapbooking groups, and this has restarted my scrapbooking habit. But I had to face facts... I was never going to be able to catch up in this lifetime! Project Life has changed that for me though. Tonight I sat down and in the space of 15 minutes I had printed out the photos I wanted to scrap for my recent Hawaii trip, AND put them into my pocket pages. I had written down what I want to remember about the day I travelled from Sydney to Honolulu and simply embellished the cards and photos. DONE!  And there is rule no. 1 of Project Life... DONT OVERTHINK IT! Tell your story and let the photos tell theirs, then call it DONE, and move on! That for me is why I love Project Life.  The rest of my trip is what I am going to do as a project in the upcoming school holidays... and I can't wait to get it done!

Want to join me for a Project Life class this week? I have two classes:
June 25th @ 11am
or
June 26th @ 7.30pm

All you need to bring are some 6"x4" photos (at least 12, but more is fine) and everything else is provided. The cost is $20. Classes are held on the Central Coast.  Click HERE to book your spot!

World Map meets Project Life

Don't you love it when items built for different purposes work together?

This week I am crazy busy getting ready for our new catalogue launch tomorrow night, (and dealing with unwell children and it seems a host of other things), but sometimes you've just gotta stop everything and make a card, right? So I'd had this idea milling around in my head, and I needed to get it out... here it is.

So my break time is over and i need to get back to working, but I thought it would be fun to share this little card with you... made with the "World Map" background stamp from Stampin'Up.  I coloured the background with re-inkers to make it look more "map-ish".  The sentiment is straight from our "Let's Get Away" Project Life card collection. I cut around it to use it on the card, and it was so quick but gave me the look I wanted.

Enjoy your day doing whatever wonderful things you are doing :-)

Faux Metal Technique classes this week... Come and make something different

I still have a few spots left for this week's classes.... I thought you'd like to see what we are making.

These are all relatively simple cards... in particular I wanted to show you how you can easily use this technique to create stunning backgrounds. I think this technique is especially good for masculine cards as a bit of metal on a blokey card goes a long way in my opinion.  So if this is something you'd like to explore, come along to one of these times:

Dates:  Tuesday 16th June @ 7.30pm
or
Wednesday 17th June @ 11am

Cost is $25 and you'll be making 3 projects.  I know you'll love these projects!  But numbers are limited so don't muck about!

Click HERE to book your spot, or call me on 0412 375 552

And here's a picture of the Masculine birthday card for you... I'm rather liking this one!

Masculine Birthday Card for a big 5-0 Birthday celebration

Tonight I was invited to the 50th birthday celebrations of an awesome friend.  It was a great night.... all I really had to do was show up, and of course to create an awesome card for the occasion. Here's what I came up with.  I used 3 different "yellows"... daffodil delight, Hello Honey and also our newest one.. Delightful Dijon. Paired with black and gold (what's a 50th without a bit of gold?) I thought they looked pretty nice. The background stamp is from the set "Kinda Eclectic".  I gold-embossed the numbers for extra impact.

Out with the Old and In with the New... but for one day only you can have BOTH!

Yep...its not a mistake... this year our current catalogues and the brand new annual catalogues are going to overlap for one day ONLY on the 2nd June 2015!  What does this mean?  This means that you can benefit from the awesome reduced retired product prices AND grab your favourites from the upcoming Annual catalogs all in one order on that day only!

How to make the best of this day?  If you are ordering online and your order is less than $300 then I would suggest that when using my store you use the Hostess Code  7Y7KJGF6 when prompted.  This will attach your order to my one big order going in and one person who does this WILL benefit from the sales by receiving a $50 voucher to spend on whatever they like from the upcoming catalogue.  To order click HERE or on the "Shop Now" tab on this page.

If your order is OVER $300 then I suggest you do it as a stand alone order (without using a hostess code) because you will automatically receive a minimum of $50 hostess dollars for placing an order of that size or more.  This is a very cool way to get your products from both catalogues and make the most of it!

The card above shows both retiring product and continuing product as we will be saying goodbye to the "Something Borrowed" DSP from the current Occasions Catalogue... Im going to miss it!

We might be saying goodbye to some wonderful products but there are lots of awesome things that are about to be released, so it is a very exciting time!

(By the way... we have a fantastic new demonstrator promotion starting on the 2nd June too... from 2nd June to the 30th June if you join Stampin'Up as a demonstrator you will receive an additional 2 FREE STAMP SETS in your starter kit! You can choose whichever 2 stamp sets float your boat - up to any value!  This is a great bonus on top of an already great deal that is the kit! What better way to get your new business started than with extra stamps to show off!?  To know more contact me by clicking HERE or click the "Join my Team" tab above for more info.)
