3D Swap for the Stampin'Up! Grand Vacation!

Ok... so everyone knows we make swaps for our trips. Its optional, but most people like to do it cause its FUN.  But we also have the option to take part in a second swap... a 3D one. Which basically means anything that's NOT a card.

So my husband decided he had a good idea for a swap.  He's pretty creative, and he designed a cute little Terrarium inside the Curvy Keepsake box. The acetate piece at the front is embossed with clear embossing, but its hard to see in the photo.  I love how the different layers create a diorama look :-)  We worked on it together in front of the telly (had to watch the finale of "Survivor") and so it was a true joint effort.

I hope you enjoy it

Don't forget to check out our adventures onboard which will be posted on my Facebook Business Page.  "Like" the page to see the updates!!!

Beat the Price Rise.... order your cardstock before the end of May 2016!

As you would know... we have a BRAND NEW CATALOGUE coming out on June 1st.  There are some fantastic new products for us to enjoy and you are going to love it!  But there are some price changes that are good to know about.... firstly our Cardstock is going up!  Right now a standard pack of cardstock is $12.25.. but from June 1st these packs will be $14.00.  Which is still a great price for great quality cardstock, but if you are in need of some, I would suggest that you stock up now and beat the price rise!
The DSP stack pads (6"x6") will be going up from $14 to $17.50.

There are also some price DECREASES to bring prices more into line with local stockists... the following items will all be coming DOWN in price on June 1st:

Wink of Stella (Gold and Clear)SNAIL AdhesiveFast FuseFast Fuse RefillMini Glue DotsStampin' DimensionalsTear & Tape AdhesiveBig Shot Machine

My advice is to hold off ordering these if you can until June 1st. But I'd also be stocking up on cardstock as necessary! (Which is what I am going to be doing!)Placing an order is easy... just visit the Online store (click the "Shop Now" button).  Even though I am away on the Med Cruise with Stampin'Up right now, you can still place orders.... To see pics of our adventures, make sure you "like" my Facebook Business Page.

It's all VERY EXCITING!  We have almost finished packing and organising, and its all starting to come together now.  Here are the travel packets we received in the mail from Stampin'Up... you can see our name tags, luggage tags, cruise tags, and agenda booklet with lots of fun things in it that we'll be doing.....

If you would like to keep up with our adventures my tip is to head over to my FACEBOOK BUSINESS PAGE and hit the "Like" button... that way you'll see the photos of all our fun during the next couple of weeks.

Even though I am away though, you can still place orders through the ONLINE STORE.... items are sent directly to your door anywhere in Australia for a low postage charge.  All you need is a computer and a credit card.  And even better if you are using the Hostess Code QR7WQJE9 when you order, you will receive a gift from me in June from the BRAND NEW CATALOGUE!  Thats going to be fun!
In the meantime there is nothing like a sneak peek of new products!  So today's card features a our new "Pop of Pink" Speciality DSP.... love all that gold, pink, black and white!

Which sets will you miss?

There are so many sets retiring that I know Im going to miss!  The advantage for me, running it as a business, is that I normally don't get too attached to products.... I know they are tools, and so I know I will use them as long as they are around. But sometimes there are a few items I get a little attached to....

One of my favourite sets from our current Occasions Catalogue is the "Going Global" set.  I loved it to make male cards especially, and I loved how I could use it for a  "Long Distance Relationship" theme. Which made it perfect for our Wedding Invitations a few months back!

The card on this page today was one I designed for a recent class.  I think it works great for a male birthday card! Or maybe a Father's Day card??

Enjoy the card and I'll pop back soon!

Memory Keeping with Project Life by Stampin'Up - Design Team May Blog Share!

This month I was presented with a challenge as I attempted to Project Life my photographs from my trip to New Orleans at the beginning of this year.  Here's the thing about New Orleans.... its a super colourful city, full of life and action and adventure.  But while that makes it a fascinating place to visit and explore, it also makes it tricky to scrapbook.... the sheer amount of colour and light means that its hard choosing a colour scheme to match!

On top of this many of the photos were taken at night... another challenge.  To brighten up the darkness in many of the photos I added metallics, and went with gold as it matched the "over the top" nature of the place itself.

Our theme this month is "Retiring Kits".. so for my photos this time I chose the "This is the Life" card collection from Stampin'Up as this one features particularly bright colours.  Sometimes they seem to clash.... and yet for very bright photos like these ones, they worked particularly well.  I've added in some of the accessory pieces from the co-ordinating accessory set and of course some sparkle brought to you by glimmer paper and gold foil.

I'll let the photos tell the story....

Closer view of each page:

And I used some of the dark space in my night time photos to add gold letters which really helped them stand out!

Next Double layout:

Close up of each page:

This one really tested me with its crazy colours!  But the purples, blues and bright greens of the bicycles actually worked with the colours in the card kit, and came together really great!  Not colours I would normally use together.... but they seem to work here:

I added gold glimmer behind the letter cutouts in the Accessory pack:

Here is the accessory kit... and its still available if you want to grab it.

And this cute video show you all the cards in the kit:

I hope you enjoy my pages today. If you would like to see other papery creations I post please "like" my Facebook Business page!

Central Coast Crafters! Come along to my Retirement Crafternoon Tea!

As our current catalogues wind down and come to an end, its always a bittersweet time as we say farewell to old favourites and welcome in new favourites. This year is no exception.  But I am softening the blow by offering all my customer the opportunity to come along to my Annual Retirement Crafternoon tea on the Central Coast NSW which is on next Saturday 14th May 2016.

Here's how it works:  You can come in and join us any time between 2.30pm and 4.00pm.  Have a cuppa and a chat and take a little time to go though my retiring products, which will be set up for you to check out.  I'll be marking down all retiring products - stamps, tools, paper, ink and embellishments. So its basically a chance to catch up, socialise AND grab a bargain at the same time. Here's a photo of last year's set up:

You do need to know though that when it comes to current product that is retiring, that its not officially retired until June 1st, so I cant actually accept money for it at this time. However you are welcome to put "dibs" on it... I'll pop it away for you, and then any time after June 1st you are welcome to come collect it and pay cash at that time.  When it comes to already retired products (previously in other catalogues) you are welcome to pay for those and take them on the day.

I'll also have some sneak peeks of upcoming new products for those that cant wait!

I've already had a few people indicate that they will be joining us, so if you would like to come along too, please let me know so I can make sure there is enough bikkies and yummy things to eat.  There is no charge to attend.

To let me know you are coming along click HERE.

If you would like to view an updated list of the retiring items click HERE.
