Classes resume this week! Come and learn something new!
Well I am back from my recent travels and the first thing we have noticed is that it sure is HOT here! Of course we knew that, but coming from snow and ice in Michigan to over 40degrees C back here is quite a contrast! Not complaining though... the house has the aircon running and we are keeping cool. Thank goodness for that air conditioning.... Im not sure I would want to run classes in the heat, but actually it turns out that my craft studio is the coolest place in the house :-)
I have evening stuff club this week and Im looking forward to seeing the girls. And I am running my first public class on Wednesday 1st February @ 11.15am - its a Stamp-A-Stack which means we will be making 6 cards (3 each of two different designs) and this time we are creating 3 masculine cards and 3 more feminine cards. I have planned them as birthday cards, but you could change the sentiments and make them for other occasions of course.
I thought you'd like to see one of the designs for this class. I used the new Celebrations Duo of embossing folders and I was really happy with how it turned out. The colours are fresh and happy and it gives a really fun result!
If you would like to join us on Wednesday please let me know by clicking HERE. I run classes in my home on the Central Coast and all levels are welcome.. from beginners to more advanced papercrafters. I'd love to see you at a class soon... to see what classes are coming up this month click on the "Class and Events Schedule" at the top of this page.
I hope to see you at a class soon!

Between the Lines.... Spotlight Technique!
Adult colouring has been all the rage for a while now.... and the reason why is simple... because colouring is therapeutic! There's something very calming about sitting and quietly colouring. And its even more satisfying with our new Watercolor Pencils which come in a pack of 13 beautiful StampinUp Colours! Yep... they match our inks and cardstock for a perfectly co-ordinated look!
Today I made it quick and simple by using the Spotlight technique... which allows me to highlight just one area of the card. You cant see it in the photo but I've also used clear Wink of Stella on the bee's wings to make them shiny :-) I used Blender pens to smooth out the colouring.
I've seen so many beautiful things done with this paper pack! It's a free item when you spend $90 on SU products right now.
If you are interested in learning more about Watercolour Pencil techniques, I will be running classes with these in February... here are the dates:
Dates:
Tuesday 14th February @ 7.30pm
or
Wednesday 15th February @ 11.15am
Cost: $25

Cupcakes and Carousels Suite on show
It's official... I am in love with the Cupcakes and Carousels suite of products... which includes the Carousel Birthday stamp set, and these gorgeous Cupcakes and Carousels papers. Today I've also added a silver embossed doily to add a bit of shine....
Just a quick one today as I am scheduling this post to run whilst I am away on leave in the US... so we are busy packing and getting the house ready! We'll be visiting my husband's family in Michigan. But by the time you read this, I'll nearly be headed home again! (a few photos of our trip on my Facebook Business Page if you would like to see them)
Happy Stamping!

Emboss resist One Layer Card with the Lift me Up Bundle
Yay! A one layer card! Very happy with how this one turned out.... its simply stamped then embossed in white (or clear works too) on shimmery white cardstock. Then I used my sponge brayers to add the background colour... added a few glimmery clouds and a sentiment and thats it!

Carousel Birthday Vellum Gift Bag
The Carousel Birthday set has become a firm favourite for me! I knew I really liked it as soon as I went through the new catalogue... but I didn't expect to use it so much! It's seeing a LOT of use! So not only do I have a class coming up in my schedule that features this suite of products, but I've been designing some upcoming stamp clubs with it too.
Today I've created a Vellum box with the Gift Bag Punch board, so its a bit see through to give you a hint of what is inside. The banner on the box is made with paper from the Cupcakes and Carousels Paper stack, and I have added a Carousel pony and coloured it with our new Watercolor Pencils and blender pens. Very happy with how it turned out! It would be perfect for a little girls birthday party!
Aren't the colours in that paper DEVINE??? Here are the papers to show you:
These colours are right up my alley and I love them!!!! I love that the smaller paper stacks are 6"x6" and perfect for cards... and you get 48 sheets in a pack so they are awesome value!

Lift me up Balloons!
Here's a little card that I designed a couple of weeks back... I've used the Lift me Up bundle teamed with the "Carried Away" DSP. This lovely paper is a free item in our Sale-A-Bration catalogue, so its yours with a $90 purchase. I've been enjoying this paper because it's actually very versatile with a range of designs... not just balloons either. There are dots and stripes and other cool shapes in the awesome colours you see above... Mint Macaron, Peekaboo Peach, Whisper White, Watermelon Wonder, Night of Navy and Smoky slate.
I love the big hot air balloon framelit! Event though its intricate, it cuts easily. I've used the stripes behind it (also framelits in the set) which helps the balloon stand out against the background.
If you would like to order any of these items for yourself you can click on the images below, or visit the Online Store to go shopping with the full catalogues..... and right now its Sale-A-Bration which means you get a free item for every $90 you spend! Woohoo!

Video Tutorial: Easy note cards with a vellum window
Today's cards are so simple its silly! I used the new 'Stylish Stems' framelits to cut a negative image of this flower. This is a great set because you can use it to create negative OR positive images... making it super versatile and a bit different too.
I've created a video tutorial to show you how I did it, and you'll notice its a pretty quick video because they are quick and easy cards! Here it is...
Product list is below.... Dont forget if you are ordering here in Australia to use the January Hostess code which is FJ3PNYBZ (See HERE for more information about my Online Ordering Thank you program)
