LAST DAY to order from the retiring list and these specials.......

Well guys... this is IT!

We are down to the wire on awesome retiring products, and saying goodbye to some great specials and discounts too.  Today is the last day of the current catalogues before we go live with our brand new catalogue tomorrow!  Of course I am excited about the new catalogue, but today i've been focused on going through and making sure that I have everything I need from the retiring list.... I don't want to miss out on anything!

To view what is available on the retiring product list... visit the ONLINE STORE and click on "Retiring Products" to view them. Discounts are shown in red.  And after today ALL those items will be gone for good!

Also it's the last day to get your hands on the Eastern Palace Bundle Promotion.  Please note you will still be able to get the Eastern Palace items in the new catalogue, you just won't be able to purchase them in the current configuration or with the current savings.

And then from tomorrow we will be playing with all things NEW!  Im so excited... can you tell??

I hope you've enjoyed my recent romp through all things retiring... I've certainly enjoyed playing with them, and showing them to you :-)

Oh! And here's something for you ladies that like to get your friends together... .in June there is a HOSTING SPECIAL! What this means is that for anyone hosting a party in June that goes over $450 in sales (believe me thats not hard in a new catalogue month!) you will receive an additional $45 in hostess freebies - thats on top of the existing hostess benefits.... so its very cool!!!  If you would like to host a workshop in June message me and we'll organise a date for you. Click HERE to let me know.

I'm looking forward to this being the best June ever!  Share it with me!

Linda x

PS Today's photo features the Floral Phrases set.... the stamps ARENT retiring, but the papers and washi tape are.  In fact the papers have already sold out! But don't despair these designs will be available in other colours in our new catalogue starting TOMORROW.

The Eastern Palace Project Class is coming up this week!

This final week of the month I am running 2 classes (1 evening and 1 daytime) that will feature the beautiful Eastern Palace suite... and in particular we will focus on products in the beautiful bundles that are currently available.  As either bundle is only available until the 31st May, this week is the perfect time to show them off, and I'm looking forward to showing you all the gorgeous pieces that are available.

Of course you don't need to purchase the bundles to do the class.  However if you have purchased either bundle this month please note that your class will be FREE.  We will be making several gorgeous projects.... and today's card is just one of them.  I am loving this combination... its Fresh Fig (a new colour!) paired with Crumb Cake and Gold.  I think its a very simple but elegant card, and it shows off several elements of the bundles beautifully.

Here are the class details:

Dates:

Tuesday 30th May @ 7.30pm
or
Wednesday 31st May @ 11.15am
Cost: $30 for all supplies, refreshments included

Saying Goodbye to the Pop of Pink Designer Series Paper

Confession: I am a proud paper hoarder!  I love my paper.... and always scour the pages of every new catalogue to see which ones I will neeeeeed to buy!  Sometimes its obvious from the catalogue to see which ones I want, but sometimes there are some "hidden gems" in the catalogues. And I find that Speciality papers are often in this category.  They aren't called "speciality" papers for nothing.... that label means that there is something special about them... and I find that that special thing might not be all that obvious in a printed catalogue. But when you get them, you go "wow".

The Pop of Pink Speciality pack was one such pack.  In this case, the "special" thing was the 2 sheets of gold foil design. (e.g. the gold dots you see on this card and box), and they were simply lovely.  Here's something you might not know.... I almost always buy the Speciality papers in the catalogue because you simply cant tell how lovely they are until you see them in real life!  For me as a demonstrator, I need to be able to show them to customers in order for them to see how beautiful they truly are.  Sadly, the Pop of Pink DSP is on the retirement list and has now sold out completely, so you cant get it anymore! (DSP packs rarely make it from one catalogue to another!)

The Affectionately Yours Speciality pack has also sold out, but the "This Christmas" pack is still available. What's special about the "This Christmas" pack?  It has DOUBLE the number of pieces of paper in it - they are a thinner weight of paper, but perfect for your Christmas cards.  So that means that instead of 12 sheets of 12"x12" paper in the pack.. you get 24!  That's a lot of Christmas paper!

But here's my tip..... make sure you check out the new Speciality papers coming in the new catalogue... they are sensational!  I will of course have them all pretty soon, so you are welcome to ask to see them when you come for classes and such.  Or just trust me that they are beautiful and buy them for yourself!

On today's card and box I also used a little of the Eastern Palace suite - the sentiments are from the Eastern Beauty set, and the gold foil shape is from the Eastern Medallions framelit pack.

You can still buy the Eastern Palace starter and premier bundles until the 31st May.  After that they will be available as individual items (or if you just want the Eastern Beauty and Eastern Medallions as a bundle on their own, you'll be able to buy those after June 1st).  But the big bundle configuration as shown below will no longer be available.  You can use the ONLINE STORE if you would like to purchase them!

Saying Goodbye to the Carousel Birthday set

In case you don't already know, StampinUp Australia has a brand new Annual Catalogue coming out June 1st.  And its totally gorgeous, so the excitement is high.  BUT this means that we also need to say goodbye to a whole bunch of products to make way for the new ones....... and so last night I had a play with one of my personal favourites from the current Occasions catalogue to say farewell.

This is the Cupcakes and Carousels suite ..... I loved it as soon as it was released, and have certainly had a lot of use out of it.  In particular I love both the Ferris Wheel and Carousel Horse images, and as you can see I used the Ferris Wheel today on this card.  The backing patterned paper is also from the same suite - Its called Cupcakes and Carousels DSP.  One of the things I love about this set is that the cupcake images on the Ferris Wheel can be stamped and then cut out with the "Up and Away" thinlit dies.  I used it on this card just to make the tops of the cupcakes.  I used Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper, and then coloured the glimmer paper slightly with my So Saffron ink and a sponge dauber (the plain white Dazzling Diamonds glimmer was too white for my project - so daubing them gave it more of a glittery vanilla look).   The sentiment is from the same Carousel Birthday set.

I've included a product list below for you.  If you love these items, right now they are still available.  But only until May 31st.... and then they are gone for good.  Even though I didn't use the Embellishment kit on this particular card, I've included it in the list below because it is part of the suite and super cute!  And its still available at time of writing too....

To Order, visit the ONLINE STORE.  Products are delivered to your door, anywhere in Australia, for a low postage charge.

Enjoy!

Welcome to the Thailand Achievers Blog Hop for May 2017 - this time its SNEAK PEEKS!

I guess its no secret that StampinUp is about to release its 2017-18 Annual catalogue!  And the buzz is amazing!  I sent out catalogues by post to a lot of my customers a week or so ago.... and nearly every day I've been hearing back from at least one of them to tell me that they LOVE the new catalogue! Which is fabulous feedback of course..... and for good reason! This new catalogue is the BOMB!

My main problem for this month's hop was where to start??  There are SO MANY awesome products to play with.  As demonstrators we get to pre-order early so that we can get ready to show all of you.... and I must admit I had to really hold myself back from the selection of products that we could order. I could easily have spent an entire month's income.... but I'm trying to pace myself! After all, we have a year right?  But its all so pretty!

In the end I decided to open my new Happy Birthday thinlits die and create this very simple card.  It's part of a bundle called "Happy Birthday Gorgeous" (145301 - $64.75)... and that's also the name of the matching stamp set.  Even though I didn't use it on this card, I love the stamps and I can see they will be very versatile.  The colour on the card is also new.  This is called "Powder Pink" and its one of our funky new Incolor range for 2017-2019.  The patterned papers are part of a stack called "Fresh Florals" and come in an assortment of all the new incisors - obviously I went with the Powder Pink ones.  I cut the window out with my Layering Circles framelits (this is the largest one in the pack), and added a piece of vellum behind to soften the overall look.  The ribbon is also new.... it is the Powder Pink Finely woven Ribbon.  Stay tuned... I'll be doing a ribbon share with these for all my Australian readers.

I love the soft and muted effect that these colours bring to this card... just simple Powder Pink, Whisper White and a little silver.  This would be perfect for any little girl, or big girly girls too!  Here's a full shot:

If you would like to come along and play with some of these gorgeous products for yourself.... then come along to my NEW CATALOGUE LAUNCH to be held on June 3rd 2017 at 2pm.  Click HERE to book your spot as numbers are limited.  And I will have a fabulous LAUNCH ONLY special for everyone who comes on the day.

And you also need to see what the other amazing blog hoppers have created!!  I love being part of this talented group of crafters.... I feel very honoured to be on the list!  Click on the name below mine to continue the hop:

Eastern Palace Special Fold card

Today I am showing off our stamp club project for this month.... its a beautiful card made with the Eastern Palace Suite and I love it!  The concept for this card came from a tutorial I saw created by BJ Peters in the US... if you visit her blog you will find the tutorial there. I loved the simple fold feature of this card... but then of course I made my own version of it so it looks quite different.

Im going to be making 2 versions of this card with my stamp club... one in Dapper Denim (as pictured) and one in Fresh Fig (which is one of our new Incolors).  Even though the Eastern Palace suite isn't going to be released until the 1st June, you can actually purchase it in bundle form right now!  And the 2 different  bundles available have a very cool gift with purchase so you are getting stuff for free as well!  I've listed the bundles below for you.

If you love these bundles I have 2 suggestions to make them even cheaper.... if you don't need everything in the premier bundle get the starter bundle now, and then get the framelits after the 1st June when they will be available as stand alone items.   Or if you like the idea of an ongoing discount on all your purchases.... think about the Demonstrator Kit! You can get the Premier Bundle plus an additional $56.75 worth of product of your choice for only $169 in total!!!!  Plus you will get a minimum of 20% discount on all your future purchases as long as you are a demonstrator!  With the new catalogue just about to be launched... that could be VERY HANDY!  Contact me if you would like more information about this... its always a fabulous opportunity but right now its just a really good idea....  And note there are no postage charges on a demonstrator kit!

I also have a little clip showing how the card opens on my Facebook business page.  Go there to check it out and be sure to like the page so that you can keep up to date with my posts and ideas.

I am running an Eastern Palace Project Class with these awesome products next week.  If you would like to come along the cost is $30, however, if you have bought either one of the bundles shown below this month, your class is free!  (If you are sitting on the fence, you can also purchase the bundles at the class and still qualify for the free class)  You'll learn lots about using your new products!  (Of course you don't have to purchase the bundles to do the class)  Here are the class details:

Video Tutorial - The Shaving Cream Galaxy Technique

Last week I held my monthly technique classes, and this month's technique was the Shaving Cream technique. This lovely background technique has been around for years, but I realised I had never done it as a class, so this time we did. Everyone loved the results, and it was a lot of fun.  Here's one of our projects..

I had put aside one of the plates of inked shaving cream aside to use later, and actually forgotten all about it.  That's when my hubby came up with a suggestion which I tried.... and it worked!  Here I am practicing with lots of samples to try to get it right....

More details are of course on the video tutorial below.  If you are after a very cool but imprecise technique this one is a lot of fun. The only downside really is that its not a quick technique.... so you'll need to be a little bit patient!

Here's a close up of the galaxy background....

If you would like to know how its done, here is the video tutorial below.  Please hop onto my Youtube channel and subscribe for more tutorials and ideas.  I love making them!  Enjoy! x

Eastern Palace in blue and silver

Today's card is a slightly different take on the Eastern Palace Suite... mostly I've been posting it paired with gold (since Gold is the featured colour in both the co-ordinating DSP and the vinyl stickers!), but today I decided to turn my Fancy Foil acetate over to show off the silver side :-)

This is actually one of the cards I am creating with one of my craft groups later this week, and so its fun getting to show it off to you today too.

If you love Asian or Moroccan inspired designs you will LOVE Eastern Palace.  Im not even close to discovering all the different combinations of shapes and designs... it seems to go on forever!  Today's is quite simple though... I've paired two different dies and layered them together, and popped one of the sentiments on from the set.  The background acetate is from the Fancy Foil pack, and I simply layered it over the Soft Sky cardstock piece.  A small piece of Silver Trim completes the card.

Eastern Palace is available now in the Online Store and there are 2 different bundles available. Of course you can also wait until the 1st June when you will be able to order these items separately, or maybe just the Stamps and Framelits bundle. But if you are after the bigger bundles with papers, inks, stickers, tassels etc... then these will only be on sale until the end of May. Here's the details of the 2 bundles for you....

Daisy Delight and the Serene Scenery DSP.... mixing old and new products!

Today I am sharing a simple little card I made last night... Im thinking it would make a lovely Mother's Day card for my Mum. My mother has been very unwell for a number of years, but her condition has gotten much worse over the past 6 months, and she isn't doing well.  So we are making the trek to Tamworth in the north of the state to visit her and my Dad, and Im looking forward to seeing them.  Mum isn't able to walk anymore, and Dad has obtained a wheelchair for her because they do love to go out for coffee and a muffin :-)

Right now its Saturday morning so we are packing up the kids and getting ourselves organised to go.  Mother's Day is tomorrow.  And I had just a few minutes to pop up this blog post before we leave.

I wanted to see the current Serene Scenery paper matched up with the "Daisy Delight" stamp set and punch.... and it works!  Really happy I got the Daisy Delight set now... I wasn't sure at first, but I love it!  But the Serene Scenery DSP stack is retiring..... noooooo!  How beautiful is it??  One side of the paper has photographic images (like the wood background on my card today) and the other has co-ordinating designs. If you don't have this one you will love it!  Its $17.50 for 48 6"x6" sheets... so perfect for all your paper creations.  The colours are fresh and fun... Im going to miss it!  Its still available in the Online Store until the 31st May.

As for the Daisy Delight bundle, you'll be able to purchase that from the 1st June.

Here's a close up of my Daisy Card today...

Another Sneak Peek! Daisy Delight set and matching punch make for easy peasy cards!

If you are like me you will appreciate the convenience of Co-ordination!  Whether its stamps and framelits, or punches, or DSP etc etc ... I just love it when things go together and make my life easier!

The Daisy Delight Bundle from our upcoming catalogue is one such set and you are going to love all the gorgeous things you can do with this one.  Today I created a very simple card using the Daisy from the stamp set - I stamped two daisies in Sahara Sand ink on Whisper White cardstock, and then punched them out with the matching Daisy Punch.  I gave the ends of each petal a bit of colour with So Saffron ink, and attached the daisies one on top of the other to make the finished daisy more full.  That's one of our new Gold Faceted gems in the centre of my daisy. The background is paper from the Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper, in new colour called Tranquil Tide. I love the variations in the colour of this paper and as you can see it gives it a really interesting background look... not flat at all! I also popped a Gold Glimmer circle behind the daisy for a bit of bling.  And the "Thank you" at the bottom is stamped in Tranquil Tide as well.... its also from the same Daisy Delight stamp set.

Here's the full card....

You'll be able to order any of these items after June 1st 2017.... to order feel free to contact me or even better visit the Online Store to do your shopping 24/7!  Products are delivered to your door, anywhere in Australia, for a low postage charge.

To see even more sneak peeks of what is coming your way, please visit and like my Facebook Business Page!

Happy Stamping!!!

International Scrapbooking Day layout - celebrating Onstage Sydney April 2017

Happy Monday everyone!

I made this layout for International Scrapbooking Day, which was actually on Saturday (6th).

I did create the layout on Saturday though, so that counts right?  And added it to the Memory Keeping with StampinUp Facebook page (click on it and check it out if you would like to see what the design team and other members have been up to!).  So Im not too far behind the times....

I kept this layout very simple and used elements from the "Good Vibes" Card kit and assessory pack from StampinUp!  As it is a night-time layout I kept the background a little darker (thats Island Indigo Cardstock) and kept my accessories darker too (mostly Night of Navy) and a little silver.   I sponged all around the edges of my layout using Night of Navy ink and a mask to get that geometric design. The mask is one of the cut outs in the Good Vibes Accessory pack... and after I finished masking with it you can see I added it to my design just above the Ferris Wheel. I like the "grungy" look it gets after being used as a mask...

This page is all about the fun I had with my team member Courtenay and her husband Tony at the end of our Onstage training day in Sydney last month.  Luna Park really was such a lovely venue, and ending the day with drinks and a lovely meal was perfect.

Of course all the Memory Keeping products in our current Annual catalogue are retiring at the end of this month, and they have been super popular so some have already sold out!  If you are after these I wouldn't be wasting any time... jump on to the Online Store and get what you can while you can!

Enjoy this gorgeous May weather we've been having!

My Annual Retirement Afternoon Tea is This Saturday 6th May! Who's coming?

Yep, its that time of year again!  Every year I hold my annual "Retirement Afternoon Tea" and this coming Saturday, 6th May is the day!  I'd love you to join me for a cuppa.... and to look through all my retiring products to see what you might like to claim as your own.  Im on the Central Coast, for anyone that can come to check out the stock.

How does it work?  Firstly, I go through all my stock and work out what is retiring and put that out for you to see, and I mark everything well down on the original retail price.  Many items are used, and there are even some new ones too.   When you come on Saturday, you are welcome to check it all out and put what you want into a bag. If it is current stock that will retire on the 31st May I can put it aside for you with your name on it, and you can come back any time after the 1st June to pay for it and collect it.  Stock that was previously retired has been marked down even further, and you are welcome to pay for that and take it with you on the day.

I will be here and available from 1pm to 4pm for you to look through the items. I will also supply afternoon tea (tea/coffee/bikkies) so we can chat and have a cuppa too.... there is no charge to come along of course.  I will also have some new catalogue sneak peeks and other fun things for you :-)

Here are the details for you:

Saturday 6th May
Drop in any time between 1pm and 4pm (but please not before 1pm)
No charge
Retiring items are on a "First In, Best Dressed" basis

To RSVP please click HERE and let me know you will be coming (so I know how many bickies or other goodies to supply!)  Address is supplied on booking if you haven't been here before.

Even if you aren't purchasing anything, you are very welcome to drop in for a cuppa. I can even make you a coffee in my new coffee machine if you are a coffee person. And the kettle is always warm for you tea drinkers!

Should you not be able to make it this Saturday, I will be happy to make an appointment for you to view the items, but not until after Saturday of course.

I look forward to seeing you!

Linda D

PS Today's card is made with the retiring DSP called "Blooms and Bliss".
