Coffee Cafe Suite for the perfect Coffee-themed layout

This week I ran a scrapbooking class in the Hunter Valley.  It was an all-day class, and we made 2 simple Scrapbooking layouts and then did some pocket scrapbooking with the Memories and More range from Stampin'Up!  Scrapbooking can be challenging to teach... well at least it is for me, because when scrapbooking, I firmly believe that your photos should be the starting point of inspiration. And I don't know what photos people will bring until we are all sitting around the table.

This particular class takes place in a coffee shop. So it made sense to design a page with a coffee theme. I even took my Selphy printer (that prints straight from my phone) so they could take coffee/hot beverage photos right there if they wanted to.  In the end, we adapted the pages to whatever they had brought, so we changed it around anyway.  But thats the beauty of Scrapbooking... it's so personal, and it needs to adapt to what works for your photos.

But I thought you might like to see my coffee page :-)

I've used the Coffee Cafe suite from our Annual catalogue, and added a detail or two from the Holiday catalogue too. I've included a product list below for you, so that you can purchase your own products if you wish.  Items are sent directly to you, anywhere in Australia, for a low postage cost.

Embossed Champagne Foil Snowflakes

Today I am showing off a quick little card I put together yesterday.... but it really does showcase the Champagne Foil paper in our 2017 Holiday catalogue.... and well..... that foil is simply STUNNING!

There's a trend around right now called "Mixed Metallics", and the Year of Cheer suite on pages 36 and 37 of the catalogue show off this trend. Basically... its simply throwing together a whole bunch of different metallic tones... and the result is quite beautiful.  In the past I've avoided using different metallics together (no gold and silver together on my cards, no sir!) and yet by adding several of the metallics together you get this fabulous look.  Stampin'Up! made a great video about the Mixed Metallics trend and you can view it below:

On my card above I embossed the Winter Wonder snowflake onto my champagne foil (doesn't it emboss beautifully??) and then stamped the sentiment from the "Cheers to the Years" stamp set in Versamark ink, and heat embossed it in silver. The circle is cut with the Stitched Shapes framelits, and I also added some of the new Metallics Washi - which I just LOVE!

I've included a product list below so that you can order your own items to be sent to you..... delivered anywhere within Australia!  Just click on the item you want and you'll be taken to the Online Store.  I love Online shopping because its always open!!!

Have a great day, wherever you are!

Video Tutorial: Creative Ideas with Foil Snowflakes from StampinUp - Part 3

Today I am back to show you yet another way to use the Foil Snowflakes featured in the latest Holiday Catalogue (2017) from StampinUp.   We are making Christmas wreaths... building on the embossing technique I showed in the last video I posted last week (Part 2).   I love these wreaths.... they really work well on your cards, and are not that hard to do either.

Hopefully you are now starting to see how awesome these Foil Snowflakes are!  If you want to add them to your orders they are only $10 and can be found in the Online Store.  Or click the SHOP NOW button to go directly to the store.

So in case you are all "snowflakes out" I am going to post some other bits and pieces in the coming days... but don't worry... there will still be some Foil Snowflakes coming to a card near you very soon......

Here's the video... enjoy!

Video Tutorial: Creative ideas with the new Foil Snowflakes from Stampin'Up! (Part 2)

Today I have created another video tutorial to show a different way to use our awesome Foil Snowflakes.  Yes, I do realise that we don't have snowflakes in Australia (especially at Christmas time, which is much much warmer!) but I love the excuse to use them because they are so pretty!  And they do still say "Christmas" somehow.  You can see how shiny this embossed snowflake is in this photo below:

This time I show a couple of different ways to emboss your snowflakes... one way using the shiny side, and the other using the back.  This is a great way to get extra mileage out of your snowflakes and makes them even more versatile.  I also used the reindeer from the Santa's Sleigh framelit set, and cut him from Red Glimmer paper.  The background paper is our lovely Merry Music Speciality DSP and I brayered over it with Soft Suede ink for a soft antique look. (You could also use sponges to achieve this)

I hope you enjoy the video and give these Foil Snowflakes a go!  If you would like to add them to your order, visit my Online Store by clicking HERE.  http://www3.stampinup.com/ECWeb/default.aspx?dbwsdemoid=4000231

I loved the Foil Snowflakes as soon as I saw them!  And I knew they would be one of my "must haves" out of this Holiday Catalogue. At only $10 for a pack of 24 they are also great value.  If you would like to order them for yourself, please click HERE to visit my Online Store and add them to your order!

Video Tutorial: Easy way to make your own Glitter Paste!

Today I am giving you a little quick tip video that shows how to create your own Glitter Paste with just a couple of ingredients.   And who doesn't like lots of glittery bling on your projects at Christmas time? (Ok... all year round, but we are focusing on Christmas today!)

For the card you see above I added these sparkly Christmas trees on either side of my main image, and I think they look great!  As mentioned in the video, there are several ways you get a sparkly effect, but today I created "Glitter Paste" so that I can use it over and over on my projects.  Which means I will have lots of sparkly projects coming your way, so stick around!  The finishing touch on this card however is the very gorgeous Night of Navy Crinkled Seam Binding ribbon.... its totally divine!  I'm thinking I should do a ribbon share of this gorgeous ribbon... who would be interested??

Here is the video and I hope you enjoy it!  (There is also a product list at the bottom of this page if you are in Australia and would like to purchase any of these items for yourself!)

Video Tutorial: Copper Launch Card with the Year of Cheer DSP

Earlier today I did a little Facebook Live video to show how I made this shiny card from my Catalogue Launch last weekend.  It's actually quite a simple card, but I wanted to show how I brought these elements together, and of course to showcase the exquisite Year of Cheer Speciality DSP.  It's completely beautiful and I already its been very popular!  And for me, all that copper calls my name! (Not to mention the new Champagne foil paper which is simply gorgeous!)

Please note that this card is not my design.. in fact I CASEd it out of the Holiday catalogue... you'll find the original on page 36 of the catalogue.  Of course I did put my own "spin" on it... I made a washi tape circle, added some metallic thread, and placed my sentiment at the bottom of the card.

So without any more fussing around, here is the video... let me know what you think!

LOVE this Copper Reindeer....Introducing the Merry Patterns Stamp set

I've been having a LOT of fun this week playing with the new Merry Patterns stamp set!  Why is it fun? Because this is a 2 step stamping set, with matching images... one for the outline and the other a solid image to "colour in" the outline.  If you've never used a set like this, they are lots of fun and give you soooo many options to play around with!

But today I decided to give the reindeer in the set the Copper Embossing treatment.  I just used the solid image (not the outline this time) and inked him up in Versamark ink, and then sprinkled my copper embossing powder over before heating it up with my heat tool.  The result is lovely shiny copper reindeer... and if you look closely you can see some of the exquisite detail in this image too.

Here's the deal with the Merry Patterns set.  You cant buy it.  It's available for FREE with a $450 order. It doesn't matter whether that $450 order is a single order, a demonstrator order, or a workshop order.  If you like you can bundle several friend's orders together to get it.  As a demonstrator I got mine for putting in a group of customer's orders together.  It's a beautiful set, that is certain. Here are the images:

The card I made today at the top of this page uses my new favourite DSP too... its the "Year of Cheer" speciality DSP and it is BEAUITIFUL!  I also included the new Champagne foil paper on this card.... I just love that!   I've made a product list below so that you can click on them to purchase your own if you wish..... items are sent directly to you, anywhere in Australia.

I love this little card and i hope you do too.
