Video Tutorial: Layered Foil butterflies with the Beauty Abounds bundle

Welcome to this week's video tutorial!  I really love this type of watercoloured background, and so I wanted to create a tutorial to show you how I did it.  Not to mention that I get to show off these gorgeous butterfly dies.  They are available in our current Occasions catalogue, AND will also be available in the upcoming new Annual Catalogue (due out June 4th, 2019).  But here's what you need to know.... if you want the thinlits AND the matching stamp set, they are available right now as a bundle.  That means that when you purchase the bundle you save 10% off the retail price. However, in the new catalogue these will be sold as separate items... not a bundle. So you will be paying 10% more for them after June 4th.  If you know you want them, then its a good time to get them now!

I originally made this card in the green tones you see above... in my video today I created the same card in the yellow/orange tones.  I like them both... its hard to pick a favourite!  In the photo below you can see how shiny these foils look when layered together.  Its a gorgeous combination!

Below you will find my tutorial.   I hope you enjoy it, and don't forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel so that you won't miss any of my tutorials when I post them!

Have a great weekend!

Sneak Peek at the Magnolia Lane Suite from the upcoming 2019 Stampin'Up catalogue!

Hello crafting friends!  I wanted to give you all a little "sneak peek" today.  Its something simple and beautiful at the same time.... I've used just a few elements from the Magnolia Lane Suite to create this lovely card and envelope.

I've used a 3" x 4" card from the Magnolia Lane Memories and More card kit, which of course fits perfectly inside the silver embossed rectangles on the card bases in the matching Card and Envelope pack.  The envelopes come with those lovely envelope liners in the pack.  I then added the word "Thanks" stamped with Mossy Meadow ink on whisper white cardstock and punched with the new Timeless Label punch.  The twine is from the co-ordinating Magnolia Lane ribbon combo pack.  Of course I had to add a small strip of silver glimmer paper because... well.... glimmer.

This whole project took approximately 5 minutes to make! It would be perfect if you need a quick card in a hurry.... and the result is stunning - Im sure you will agree.

These items will be released in our brand new Annual Catalogue which is due out June 4th 2019.  If you are in Australia, and you dont already have a demonstrator, then I would love to send one to you.  You just need to CONTACT ME and let me know that you would like one... my mailing will be going out around the 8th May, so I expect the catalogues to start arriving mid May.  To be in this mailing run, please contact me before the end of April.

You will see me posting quite a few new sneak peeks over the coming weeks, so the best place to see all that I post is on my Facebook Business Page... hop over there and hit the "LIKE" button so you don't miss them!

Video Tutorial: Touches of Texture card using White Gel pen colouring

Happy Friday everyone!  That means its time for this week's video tutorial, and today we are putting our white gel pens to work!  This is not a new technique... in fact I have done a video on this before. (Click HERE to see a video of tips when using White Gel Pen colouring) But I really wanted to get the beautiful Touches of Texture stamp set out since this one is on the retiring list and won't be around much longer!  (To see what else is retiring click HERE and check out the Last-Chance list!)

The DSP I have used in this card is also retiring... its the "Share what you Love" Specialty Designer Series Paper, and it features cardstock-weight paper, which has glossy embossing-like touches on one side. This paper pack is also a DOUBLE pack... so you get 12 x 24 sheets of amazing-ness!  That makes it really good value, and will last you for a very long time.  I've included the product list for the card below so that you know exactly what you need if you choose to make it yourself.

The sentiment is also from a retiring Hostess set "Very Vintage".  (To purchase hostess sets you need to be putting through a minimum $250 order)  And the Tea Room copper edged ribbons are also being discontinued.

Here is the video for you...

Normally I post a "Fancy Friday" video tutorial on a (you guessed it) FRIDAY!  But this week I am off to Stampin'Up's Onstage training event in New Zealand and so on Friday I will be in Auckland having fun with a bunch of my Stampin' Friends.  But I didnt want to leave you hanging... so I decided this week you wouldn't mind if I posted my video early!

Of course this isn't the first watercoloured card I have done with the fabulous Waterfront stamp set.
(You can click HERE or HERE to see a couple of examples)  However it IS the first time I had used the Rice technique and I loved how it turned out!  So it became this week's video.... to watch it just click on the video link below:

You dont need many supplies for this card.... I've included a product list below.  And for the rice... you can use any old rice you have sitting in the kitchen cupboard.  To purchase these products (or any other Stampin'Up products) just click over to the ONLINE STORE.  All you need is a credit card and an Australian address to have the products sent to!

Happy Bloom by Bloom card with our Gingham Gala DSP!

Just a quick post for you today.... I created this little card the other night.  I was actually supposed to be cleaning my craft desk.... and as so often happens I come across scraps or partly-done pieces that speak to me and suddenly Im creating instead of cleaning.... anyone else relate???

In this case I found the background piece with "a little note" stamped down the side. I had been demonstrating the Stamparatus "step technique" and had this piece left over. Then there was a piece of the gingham paper...so I put them together, and added the flowers from the Bloom by Bloom stamp set, and a little Granny Apple Green ribbon tied in a knot.  Voila!  A card is made!

Ive just ordered my Stampin' Storage, and expect it to arrive tomorrow.... so if you would like to see me open it up and show how to configure it, I'll be doing that live on my Facebook Business Page. Click over to the page and hit the "like" button so that you will know when I go live.

Im getting ready to go to Auckland for the release of the new catalogue, so I'll be posting lots of new stuff on my business page too!  Be there to see whats new!

Enjoy the card today!
