Simple Scrapbooking with my Holiday photos

Good morning crafty friends!

Today I have a few things on my schedule... but importantly I am getting ready for my Scrapbooking class later in the week, and also for my Stamp Clubs tomorrow.  (Still a couple of stamp club spots left if anyone would like to join us!)

On the weekend I went out and printed a bunch of photos from our recent Stampin'Up trip to the Greek Isles..... I tried to keep the number of photos I had down to a minimum, and ended up with around 200 printed photos to use. I actually thought this was pretty good as we took way more than that!

I have created this very simple page as our class is a bit on the large side this week!  I used Seaside Spray as my page base colour... its an easy colour to work with as its relatively neutral.  I think it works particularly well for outdoor shots, like the one I've used today. Lake Como was so beautiful... Im so glad we went!  Lake Como has been number 1 on my bucket list for many years, and so to make it a reality was completely a dream come true.  (Paul's number one bucket list item is Venice, so we'll have to do that one next!)

Here's a couple of close ups of the detail....

I used the "To a Wild Rose" stamp set, and my colours are Seaside Spray and Pretty Peacock.  I've added a bit of silver glimmer paper and vellum to add more texture.  The letters are made using the new "Hand Lettered Prose" dies, and the DSP is called "Woven Heirlooms".

To purchase any of these items (or other Stampin'Up products) hop over to my Online Store.

I hope you like my simple little page. Be sure to check out my Facebook page for more pictures of scrap layouts, as well as cards and whatever else I am currently working on!

Cardmaking fun with the Dinoroar DSP

Do you regularly see products featured on Stamping blogs and facebook posts and find yourself liking the same stuff over and over?  This was me with the products in the gorgeous Dinoroar Suite.  Everything I saw made with these products i just fell in love with!  What does this mean?  Well it means that its probably something I need to own!  I hadn't bought them yet, but after seeing so many lovely projects, I knew that I needed them!

So this past week I decided to dip my toe in the Dinoroar water... and i bought the DSP from the suite.  Since I am on a budget (after the recent Greek Isles trip, where we extended the holiday by an extra 6 days) I thought that maybe the paper would satisfy my need to have these items in my life. Did it work? Kind of.... I discovered that I can create beautiful Dinosaur project designs with just the paper. But I would really love to own the stamps and dies as well!  So those are now at the top of my wishlist, and I plan to own them soon!

So today's card JUST features the Dinoroar DSP.... I cut this cute dinosaur by hand from the DSP (Noted: the dies would have made this much easier and quicker, but it is what it is!), and then popped the leaf design paper from the same DSP pack behind. The circle is from our fabulous Stitched Shapes dies, and the sentiment is from the Band Together stamp set.  I think this would make a gorgeous card for a little boy... or indeed any dinosaur fan.  I've included a full product list below should you wish to purchase any of these items for yourself. (If you are in Australia, items are shipped directly to you for a low postage fee)

Have a ROARSOME day!!!

Video Tutorial: Easy card using our Mosaic Mood Speciality DSP

Today I have posted a new video tutorial to show you how to make this very simple card.  I had a request to do a video.... and I worried it would be a bit too easy, but I decided to do it anyway.   The main feature of this card is the absolutely stunning Mosaic Mood Speciality DSP.... and I've used it to great effect here.  If you love these subtle colours, then you will love this paper!  On one side it features beautiful embossed images, and on the other are more subtle designs, but the truth is that you NEED to see it to see how lovely it really is.... a catalogue picture just doesn't do it justice!

I've posted the video below.... I hope you enjoy it!  (I've also included the products required below)

Very Versailles for my Greek Isles Swaps!

I'm BACK!!!

After 2 whole weeks of awesome holiday I am back and ready to go! Well that is, apart from a bit of jetlag... but Im feeling pretty good after a couple of days to recover.  Stampin'Up as usual put on an amazing 7 night Incentive Trip for us... we were spoiled and looked after!  Our ship, the Jewel of the Seas, sailed from Rome on the 7th July and then around various Greek destinations... Santorini, Mykonos, Athens and Katakolon.  Each place was so different and it was just incredible to be there!  I have loads of photos.... if you are keen to see them I've been posting them on my Facebook Page and Instagram account.   But here is a few that you might like to check out....

Here's a selection of the gifts that Stampin'Up! gave us this year... pretty cool huh??

And then we had several magical nights on Lake Como at an awesome little town called Varenna...

Paul and I had opted to add on 6 extra nights so that I could visit my bucket list destination... Lake Como!  So fabulous... I will never forget this amazing adventure!

The card posted at the top of this page was one of my swaps from this year's trip.  I tried to make it very "me" so I added lots of my favorite things... I was really happy with how it turned out!

Dont forget if you want to see more of my trip photos, head over to my Facebook page or Instagram account.

Thanks for letting me share!!!  And thank you so much for supporting my small business!!!
