One more day of Sale-A-Bration! Here's some of my favourite projects (that I didnt get to show you yet!)

After a fabulous Sale-A-Bration it is finally coming to an end tomorrow March 31st 2020.

Its our very best "gift-with-purchase" and joining promotion of the year, and this year has been no exception.  So many lovely things on offer.  A few are now sold out (The Golden Honey DSP and the Kerchief card kit) but there are still lots left.  The Co-ordination release items are also being discontinued after March 31st. And there's just one more shopping day to get them!

So I thought I'd post a few of my favourite projects made with these products over the past few weeks.  Some I have posted on my Facebook business page and Instagram page... but I havent added them here, so they may be new to you. But I hope you enjoy them!!!

Pleased as Punch DSP

Pleased as Punch DSP cut with the Small Bloom punch (SAB)

Flowering Foils DSP - background coloured with Mint Macaron Blends markers

The sentiment "I miss your Face" from the Tags in Bloom set - its perfect for our current situation!

Lilypad Dies and matching Lilypad DSP (love that brush stroke look!)

and last but not least here is a little smooshed background I did for the super cute Ladybug set!

It really has been a great SAB this year... and I hope you were able to enjoy the creations and maybe even do some creating of your own with these beautiful products.

Finally... DONT FORGET... tomorrow is also the very last day to join as a demonstrator and get the super deal of extra stuff:
For only $169 you get:
* $235 worth of products of YOUR CHOICE
* the world's cutest Mini Trimmer (in my humble opinion)
* a 48 sheet pack of 6"x6" DSP - samples of paper from our current Mini Catalogue
* a free stamp set of YOUR CHOICE (any value)
That is a fabulous deal... and then the perks like discounts on all your orders and access to an online community of other stampers are on top of that!
But the special deal ends tomorrow March 31st. (You can join anytime for the community, but the extra stuff in the kit is only available now). I would love you to join my team and be part of this wonderful journey that is Stampin'Up!
Send me a message if you are interested or would like more info. Or if you just want to jump right in, here is the link to join

This month's stamp club project is going ONLINE - and anyone can be part of it!

Hey friends, I have something special to share with you today!  Our regular stamp club was due to meet this week, but given the current situation it has become impossible to run it as usual. So Im still going ahead, but running it a little differently this time.  Due to issues of late, I had a couple of stamp club members unable to continue, and had planned to begin this new round with less people than usual.  Those ladies are still keen to commit to a year of Stamp club... and so this month I am offering the same class but ONLINE.

How does it work?  Well each club month (every second month) I will set up a code for the club.  Members will use that code to place their orders of $50 (aud) or more.  I will send them the link to a privately listed video tutorial that they can click on at their convenience. I will also send all the cardstock pre-cut and ready to go via the post, within 2 days of their order being received.

But here's the thing... because its online I am not restricted to numbers in the studio.  So anyone that is interested in the tutorial and cardstock supplies can be part of this month's club without the committment of staying in the club for the year.  You can pick and choose which ones you would like to do.  If you would like to receive the individual projects, all you need to do is place an online order and use the host code HSAUYJH3.  I will then send you the video link and the supplies.  To access the Online Store click the SHOP NOW button on this page.  Orders are shipped to you to anywhere in Australia, for a low postage charge.  (Im sorry this class will only be open to Australian customers)

Please note that this month's project (pictured above) uses the "Mountain Air" bundle. You can either purchase this bundle OR you can use similar stamps to get a similar effect. For example, the Waterfront Stamp set includes a couple of Mountain stamp sets that will give you a similar result.  You dont need to use exactly the same colours as me either.  Ive listed the colours I used below, but similar colours would do.

I hope you enjoy this project and you are maybe even able to take part!

Enjoy this project and stay tuned for more Online class options!

Video Tutorial: Faux Watercolouring on Canvas

Hello friends!  What a strange time it is in our world at the moment. With so many people self-isolating and social distancing (new phrases that have been added to our vocabulary of late) several things have become apparent to me.  Firstly that although there is a lot of focus currently on looking after our health (boosting our immune systems for example), it seems that there is not a lot of focus on our mental health.   And yet, as we all try to stay safe by staying away from others and keeping to ourselves, I believe this will become a huge focus!

And that, my friends, is where creativity and crafting come in!  Im not even kidding.... I believe that we can stave off loneliness and isolation by being part of a crafting community and keeping our creative flames alive!  If you are on Facebook can I please encourage you to head over to my FACEBOOK PAGE and become part of the conversation there.  I post regularly (usually several times a day), and I post both creative ideas and projects as well as helpful videos.  I really want this space to be an escape from all the doom and gloom that seems to be everywhere right now.  It doesnt matter whether you are a customer, or are just looking for a creative place to hang out.... I'd love to see you there.

Im also planning on posting more videos on my YouTube channel.... and today I have done that by posting this very cool technique.  Even though I've created scene building tutorials before (you'll find those on my channel), today I stepped it up a level with this cool faux canvas background.  I hope you love it!  Here's a few examples of cards made using this technique:

Forever Blossoms for a colour challenge

One of the things I love about being in a team is connecting with other team members!  Recently we had one of our "Online Team gatherings" and this gives a chance to not only connect with each other but to share ideas and inspiration.  I have a team group that gets together on Facebook, and when we do this we usually have a few challenges to take part in.  One of the recent challenges was a colour challenge..... where I challenge team members to come up with a project that just uses specific colours. The card above was part of the challenge and just used the following colours:

As you can see these colours look absolutely beautiful together!  I've used the Forever Blossoms stamps for the flowers and sentiment.  I stamped them in Memento black and then coloured the flowers with Sponge daubers for a soft look.  I used a little of the Parisian Blossoms DSP behind the flowers, and the texture at the back is created by the Parisian Flourish Embossing folder!  (If you'd like to win one of these folders please click over to my FACEBOOK PAGE as I'll be giving away one of these folders in the next couple of days!)  I've included  a product list below.  This is actually a relatively simple card but I think you'll agree it turned out beautifully.  Here's a closeup:

I hope you like my card today.... and dont forget if you'd like to be part of my team group we currently have an amazing deal on the Demonstrator kit! For only $169 you get $235 worth of products of your choice... PLUS our exclusive Mini Trimmer, a gorgeous sample paper pack, and a free stamp set OF YOUR CHOICE!  PLUS you get 20% minimum off all your orders as long as you remain a demonstrator!  Yep... all that for just $169.  But hop to it because this deal ends at the end of March!  CONTACT ME for more information!

Video Tutorial: How to use Reversible stamps with the Mountain Air stamp set

As soon as I saw the Mountain Air stamp set, I knew it was "my style" of stamp set.  I just love any kind of set that I can use to build landscapes.... and this one is no exception!  I didn't get it straight away when the catalogue came out.... I held off as long as I could... but now its in my collection, and I am so glad it is!

What I didn't realise right away was that this is a reversible stamp set.  Stampin'Up has now produced a few reversible sets..... and what I love about reversible stamps is that they greatly increase your options when creating.  When you watch the video you will see what I mean... on this card I have used the reverse sides of the stamps to add shadows, and to create the idea of distance.  For landscapes this is a huge benefit as it adds such a realistic effect.

So on to the video below.... I hope you will be inspired to try this card for yourself.  Watch out for more examples from me as to how to use this gorgeous set!

See you soon!
