Last day to sign up for my Bird Ballad Online Class is TODAY!
Only a few more hours to go until I close off my Bird Ballad Online class. I just had to do a class with the gorgeous Bird Ballad DSP before it retires. But I am super glad that the "Free as a Bird" stamp set is sticking around for another year.
The cards you see in the above picture are NOT part of the class... Instead I made these in my last FB live video (If you would like to see that video you can click HERE).
The sneak peek of the class cards is below:
All you need to do is to place an order (of any size) and use the class code YRXJKQHJ before you check out. Automatically you will be enrolled in the class and receive an online tutorial via email AND I will send out the class supplies that you can use in connection with whatever stamps you already own. If you want to read more about how it works you can click HERE.
To those that have already registered, you should have already received your class tutorials via email... stay tuned for your supplies to arrive via post.
Happy Stamping!

Bird Ballad Online Class - Join here!
Hello Friends!
Welcome to my latest Online Class! This time we are creating with the Bird Ballad suite... I realised that I have not done a full class with these products before... and as some of the products in the suite will be retiring I wanted to use them whilst I can. Notably the Bird Ballad DSP is retiring (and if you are quick you will be able to pick it up right now at a discount!) You can see a "sneak peek" of our cards for this class in the picture above.
Please note that YOU DO NOT HAVE TO OWN THESE PRODUCTS TO DO THE CLASS. You can substitute with any stamps you may already own.
You have two options to participate in the class:
1. Tutorial Only.
No matter where you are in the world you are welcome to purchase the "Tutorial Only" option. I have set up a Paypal button for this. You will get the link to the video tutorial, and can follow the instructions using whatever stamps and products you have in your stash. There are instructions for three great cards included in the video tutorial. They are relatively simple. The cost for this option is $20aud. Here is the paypal button to click to get the video only option:
2. Class pack and Tutorial.
If you are in Australia and would like me to send out the materials to make these projects as well as the video tutorial showing how to put them together then all you need to do is place an order with me through my ONLINE STORE and when you check out be sure to use the Host Code YRXJKQHJ. This Host Code will identify that you wish to be part of the class so that I can send the materials out. I have decided not to place a minimum order amount on ordering... right now I understand that some people may have financial constraints that do not allow them to place larger orders. So ANY size order that uses this code will qualify you for the class.
The video link will be sent to you by email within 24 hours of placing your order. This Online Class option will be open to register until Thursday 30th April, 2020. Class packs will all be in the mail by Friday 1st May.
Please note that the materials sent out will include the die cut shapes needed for these cards.... all you need to do is stamp them and assemble them together. (You do not have to own this stamp set - you can substitute with any suitable sentiment stamps you have in your collection) So you'll need the following inks, colouring tools and adhesives (or similar):
Ink:
- Black (I used Memento) or Grey
- Pool Party
Colouring Tools:
I used Stampin'Blends for my samples. If you do not have these you can substitute with other colouring tools such as Watercolour Pencils, or inks used as watercolours.
My Stampin' Blends colours are:
- Calypso Coral (dark)
- Petal Pink (dark)
- Old Olive (light)
- Pool Party (dark)
- Crumb Cake (combo)
Adhesvies:
- Snail
- Tombow Multipurpose glue
- Dimensionals
- Mini Glue Dots
The Bird Ballad suite has been one of my favourite suites from our current Annual catalogue, so it is lovely to be able to use it one last time. If you love this suite too, then be sure to grab it before its gone. You can purchase the entire suite for $164.50 aud (Item code 152190) or you can pick and choose the pieces you want. It's worth mentioning that right now the Bird Ballad DSP is discounted in the Online Store... its only $16 aud for the pack!
I hope you will join me for this Online class this month... and that you enjoy these beautiful cards!

Video Tutorial: The Blended Alcohol Sunset technique
Just a few days ago I posted a video tutorial showing the "Blended Alcohol Technque". The images and tutorial have been really popular on my social media accounts - especially Facebook and YouTube. Today I am doing a similar (but shorter) video to take this same technique one step further.... today I'm showing how to use the Blended Alcohol technique to create a sunset background. I think it would also make a great rainbow background (perhaps for a little girl's card?).
I've included the product that I used at the bottom of this post, should you wish to purchase any of them. Im in Australia, so products can be shipped directly to you, at a low postage charge.
Click the video link below to view it....
And below you will find a product list for the supplies...
Have a wonderful day... to my Australian and New Zealander friends... HAPPY ANZAC DAY.
Lest we forget.

The 2020 Retiring lists are out NOW!
Hello friends! Today is what I call a "big day". For me, two big things are happening.
Firstly Stampin' Up have released their Retiring lists for both of the current catalogues. This of course happens towards the end of every catalogue cycle. Every year we see lots of discontinuing products... and this year is no exception! I notice that the Annual catalogue has a full 5 pages of retiring items! (The Mini has one full page) And yes, there are some "shock" items on there! (EG SNAIL ADHESIVE is retiring! But dont worry, there is an amazing replacement product coming)
Which leads me to the second thing.... our brand new Annual catalogue is coming to you soon. The official release date is June 3rd (ie when you can actually order products from it) but you will start to see "sneak peeks" over the coming weeks. For us demonstrators, we got our first look at the new catalogue this morning, and I can promise you that its gorgeous with lots of fantastic items to drool over. Im excited to share it with you as soon as I can do that!
In the meantime you can click the links below to see the PDF lists of retiring items OR you can visit the ONLINE STORE and view the Last Chance items with images (which is easier in my opinion). Dont forget if you love something and its on that list, be sure to grab it before its gone. Please dont be that person who leaves it too late and is then disappointed.... I see people do that every single year! Im not kidding when I say that many items on these lists will sell out (and yes, some items are discounted).

I hope you are successful in getting just what you need or want from the retiring items!
I'll be back with more excitement for you soon.

Video Tutorial: The Blended Alcohol Background Technique
Hello friends... I have something new to share with you today. One thing about being safe at home during a global crisis is that I've had a little extra time to play in my craft room..... and this week I "discovered" at new technique that I think you will love. I havent seen it anywhere else.... but of course it is possible that someone has done it before. In that case, my apologies to whoever might have already created this technique.... but for me its new. And I figured that it will be new for lots of you too (if not all).
I have called it the "Blended Alcohol background technique". It uses Alcohol markers (I used our Blends markers) and Rubbing alcohol smooshed together on a Acetate panel, and then transferred to cardstock. I loved the results... especially as it turns out different every time!
To see how I did this, click the video link below.... I hope you give it a try and let me know what you think!
Enjoy the video and I'll be back with more for you soon!

Video Tutorial: Simple cards with the Ornate Borders Dies
Hello friends and welcome to another video tutorial for you today. Today I am using the awesome new Ornate Borders dies to create simple but striking cards.
I think the reason these cards are so striking is because there is a lot of contrast between the Incolors and the white cardstock. So even though they are simple they are very eye-catching. I've made a video to show you how to use these lovely dies, so you can click the video link below to see it.
Below you will find the product list for these cards if you wish to create them for yourself! Have fun!

Black and White with a Splash of Colour (Breathtaking Bouquet)
This past week my team and I have been attempting a group of card challenges together. Its been a fun way to share something together, and it also keeps us stamping. Which in turn helps us to focus on much more fun things that what else is happening in the rest of the world. Which is good for our mental health. Awesome!!!
One of the group challenges was to come up with a card that meets the criteria of "Black and White with a Splash of Colour". So here you see my submission for the challenge. I used the Breathtaking Bouquet background stamp, and heat embossed it in white on black cardstock. Once embossed, I then coloured the largest Rose image in the design with my Real Red Blends marker (I used the dark one, but you could use whichever you prefer). I matched that up with a knot tied from Real Red satin ribbon.... and there is my pop of colour!
I hope you like my card today.... it was pretty quick and easy to make. Just a little time invested in the heat embossing, and in colouring the rose.
Happy Stamping (and Happy Easter to you all!)

Ornate Style stamp set gets the White Gel pen treatment
Today I created this card but just for me. That means I didnt start out with a marketing agenda.... I just wanted to enjoy making a card for my own enjoyment. You see, I love to colour... and colouring wiht a White Gel pen is just so satisying! And its easy. Its not super quick, as the colouring takes a bit of time, but its well worth the effort.
Even though I would say that White Gel pen colouring is easy to do, it does help if you know a few tricks.... so I made a video a while back to give you some tips on how to get the best results. I've included a link to that video below. The video goes over 9 great tips to a fantastic result with White Gel Pen colouring. Click the video link below:
I hope you enjoy my card today... if you are interested in purchasing any of these products then click the links below.
