Video Tutorial: White Embossing on Acetate for a 3D look

Hello friends! Today I have a different technique to share with you on my YouTube channel.  I love this look of White Embossing on Acetate.  It creates a 3D look because the white snowflakes on my card look as though they are in front of the darker snowflakes behind. I really hope you enjoy it!

I've used the new stamp set called "Snowflake Wishes" for my card today... this set will be available from August 4th, as will the gorgeous Snowflake Splendor DSP.

Here is the video... enjoy!

Forever Greenery Online Specialty Class - available NOW!

FOREVER GREENERY ONLINE SPECIALITY CLASS - OPEN NOW UNTIL TUESDAY 28th JULY UNLESS SOLD OUT PRIOR!
Welcome to my latest Online Class! This time we are creating a "specialty project" - its a gorgeous decorated acetate box filled with 3 beautiful cards... all created with the Forever Greenery suite of products. You can see a "sneak peek" of our project for this class in the picture above. It would make a great gift for a friend, or something cute just for yourself.
Please note that YOU DO NOT HAVE TO OWN THESE PRODUCTS TO DO THE CLASS. You can substitute with any stamps you may already own. So you'll need a couple of different sentiment stamps, and perhaps a "splotch" or "dots" type of stamp (optional).
You have two options to participate in the class:
1. Tutorial Only - $20
No matter where you are in the world you are welcome to purchase the "Tutorial Only" option. I have set up a Paypal button for this. You will get the link to the video tutorial, and can follow the instructions using whatever stamps and products you have in your stash. (Please note I have used the Forever Fern stamps, and the co-ordinating dies) There are 3 cards inside the decorated acetate box. The cost for this option is $20aud. I have set up a Paypal button below for this. Or you can contact me to make payment.
2. Class pack and Tutorial.
If you are in Australia and would like me to send out the materials to make this project as well as the video tutorial showing how to put it together then all you need to do is place an order with me through my ONLINE STORE and when you check out be sure to use the Host Code V3V7GFRD. This Host Code will identify that you wish to be part of the class so that I can send the materials out. I have decided not to place a minimum order amount on ordering... right now I understand that some people are doing it tough financially. So ANY size order that uses this code will qualify you for the class. Click the SHOP NOW button to go shopping!
The video link will be sent to you by email within 48 hours of placing your order. This Online Class option will be open to register until Tuesday July 28th, 2020, OR until sold out. Class numbers are limited due to limited supplies. Class packs will all be in the mail either by Monday July 27th (for earlier orders) or by Thursday 30th July (for later orders).
BUT PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO LIMITED SUPPLIES I HAVE TO PUT A CAP ON THIS CLASS - THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS WILL BE 20. AFTER THAT THE CLASS CODE WILL BE TURNED OFF AND NO MORE PACKS WILL BE SENT.
Please note that the materials sent out will include the die cut or punched shapes needed for these cards.... all you need to do is stamp them and assemble them together. (You do not have to own this stamp set - you can substitute with any suitable sentiment stamps you have in your collection) So you'll need the following inks and adhesives (or similar):

Suggested Inks:
Just Jade
Shaded Spruce
Or you can substitute with
Pretty Peacock
Garden Green
(The inks are listed here in order of preference)
Adhesvies:
Seal
Tombow Multipurpose glue
Dimensionals
Mini Glue Dots
Other:
Sponge Dauber or sponge (daubers work better, but a sponge will also do)
Water pen/aqua painter/brush - to create a "wash" background
Scissors (To cut ribbon)
I hope you will join me for this Online class this month... and that you enjoy this gorgeous project!

Video Tutorial: Sending Sunshine and the Postage Stamp punch

Hello crafters!  Today I did a little Facebook Live video for my followers, and I've also uploaded it to YouTube for you as well.  I did these two cards live on my video this morning.... I think they turned out great, and I hope you enjoy watching them be created!

For the first card I used the Playing with Patterns DSP, and used my Postage Stamp punch to create the squares on the card.  In the video you will see this little trick for creating squares with the punch rather than the rectangle shape.

Then for the second card I created this gorgeous sunset with the new Sending Sunshine stamp set.  The sky is created with my sponge brayers to create this beautiful ombre look.  Full instructions are in the video.

Video Tutorial: Tips for Colouring with White Ink

Today I've created this cards ready for an upcoming class....and loved them so much I created a video tutorial as well.  These are actually very simple cards, but the Tone-on-tone stamping, plus the White ink colouring gives such a beautiful 3d effect that they really stand out.  I have long had a love affair with white ink, and I think these cards show why :)

Here's another view:

Nothing's Better than.... Cocktails and other Maui Inspired card creations

If 2020 had been a little different, we should have been lying on a Maui beach this past week, soaking up the sun, and drinking cocktails. That was the plan anyway.

Instead our much anticipated Stampin' Up incentive trip to Maui has been postponed to May 2021. And of course, we are not even sure if we will be able to travel by then.

So I've spent a bit of time this past week, coming up with some tropical holiday inspired creations, and today I thought I'd share a couple of them with you.

Today I made this cute Cocktail card (above) with the fabulous "Nothing's Better than" stamp set.  I love the bright colours and of course anything with Cocktails is a winner!

I also used our gorgeous new Rainbow glimmer paper to create a glittery sky on this Maui Sunset card.  The water I created with the fabulous Waterfront stamp set.

And finally I made this Pineapple card during the week too. I used the Glimmer Paper again, and created a wash background using my "E" size acrylic block.  I love all the tropical colours!

So thats been my week of dreaming about my Maui holiday.... that we are still hopeful will happen next year. But if thats not to be, I know that Stampin'Up will look after us... they always do!

I hope you are staying safe and well, wherever you may be.

Hop over to my Facebook Business page to see more of my creations!  See you again soon!!!

The Peony Garden Suite makes beautiful cards!

Here is a little card I made up quite quickly this morning. The slowest bit is of course the colouring (I used my Rococo Rose Blends markers) but apart from that its quite simple. I used the Peony dies to cut out the flower and also create the scalloped edges on the black panel.  The DSP is also from the Peony Garden Suite, as is the Gray Granite glimmer ribbon.

I've included the product list for you below, should you wish to purchase any of these items.  Items can be shipped anywhere in Australia, straight to your door, for a low postage charge. Click the SHOP NOW button to visit the Online Store.

Here's a closeup of our card:

I hope you are having a lovely weekend wherever in the world you are!
