Our January CraftAlong event is coming up! Let's create with the Perennial Lavender Suite!

Hello friends!

It's almost time for another CraftAlong event and I am excited to share it with you!  This month we will be focusing on the beautiful Perennial Lavender suite of products.  It's been such a popular set already!  And no wonder... with different shades of purple, plus green and some neutrals, its perfect for so many different types of projects!

I've been doing CraftAlong for quite a while now, and the feedback has been fabulous.  In case you don't know, CraftAlong is a live public video tutorial (or class) that I do once a month, and each time we focus on a different style of card, type of technique, or suite of products.

This month CraftAlong will be held on Thursday 25th January @ 2pm (Sydney time) and I hope you can join us.  Here is the video link to click at that time:

Those that ordered their Stampin'Up products with me the previous month will receive a supply pack to make the live project. Plus after the event I also send them (and my team) several more step-by-step tutorials on the same theme.  And a pdf with all the measurements for each project.

For those that haven't ordered (or are unable to) I offer an alternative - these extra tutorials and measurements are available to purchase.  I always make sure the cards are extra special, and I know you will love them!

Stay tuned for more details next week!

                                                - scrap to die cut a square

Glitter Highland Heather paper - scraps to cut strip and a second to cut a frame around the square mentioned earlier

Vellum (of course!) - scrap to cut square from the Perennial Postage dies

Very Vanilla Cardstock - cut to 15cm x 14cm, and score on the long side at 5cm and 10cm

Video Tutorial: How to use Hybrid Embossing Folders for Outstanding results!

You might already know that I do a weekly Technique Tuesday video. Each Tuesday at 2pm (Sydney time) I focus on a different technique, and then we make a project with said technique. Earlier this month I decided to show how to use the brayer with the new "Thoughtful Moments" hybrid embossing folder.  Hybrid embossing folders are really special because they work with their co-ordinating dies to both cut and emboss at the same time. It looks amazing.

The "Hello" in the card above is a good example of this technique.  After I cut and embossed the word onto Basic White cardstock, I then added Pretty Peacock ink with my brayer. If you would like to see how I did this, click and watch the video below:

Below is another card I made after the video finished... and you might note that I used the "leftover" die cut from the first card.  I also used my brayer to add 3 different colours to the words, making sure to clean the brayer between each colour.

Note that the Softly Stippled DSP is free with a $90 order if you love it!

What do you think? Is this a technique you would like to try?

Be sure to check back every Tuesday at 2pm for a new technique

Video Tutorial: the White Ink embossed background technique!

If you've been following allow with me for a while you will know very well.... I love white ink! Specifically I love white craft ink (AKA Pigment ink) because there are so many things you can do with it!

Every Tuesday afternoon I do a live video tutorial called "Technique Tuesday"... and this week we made the card panels you see in the image above. Its actually a really simple technique, but I find it works best with a more solid embossed design. Here I used the new Layered Florals 3D Embossing Folder - and its perfect for this technique!

To see how I created these backgrounds, click on the video link below to see how its done.

I've included a product list below of the items I used so that you can purchase them yourself if you wish.

Have fun with it!

Video: New Catalogue Walkthrough - plus a couple of pretty cards!

This week saw the release of our new January - April Mini catalogue... and wow there are some beautiful products and ideas in there!  On top of that Sale-A-Bration (SAB) is also now in full swing.  So last night on my Friday Night live video I did a walkthrough of catalogue and then made a couple of cards using SAB products.  Below is a link to the video if you would like to watch it:

And close ups of the projects we made:

And this card is the one I started in the video but did not finish... here it is completed:

The background embossing folder for the Bird cards is called "Layered Florals 3D" and I really love it!

Both the dsp packs that I used in these cards are a free gift with purchase when you place a $90 order for Stampin'Up products here in Australia. It's a great selection this year! To place an order click HERE

I hope you were able to enjoy the video, and I'll be back with another one tomorrow evening, Sunday @ 7.30pm.

See you then!

Happy New Year everyone!

Hello and Happy New Year to you all!

As we enter 2024 I am excited to share lots of new ideas with you and new products too!  We have a brand new catalogue (and Sale-a-bration) coming your way this Thursday 4th January, so I have been showcasing some of the new products we will be introducing.

But today I wanted to show you the cards we made on my most recent Sunday Night video.  These cards do use some of the new products (the shape of the label dies for example) but they also use products from elsewhere - the Biggest Wish stamp set (Annual catalogue) and More Wishes stamp set (Sept-Dec 2023 mini catalogue) and Stars at Night set (retiring).  So its a mashup of sets from different places!

If you would like to see me create these cards you can click the video link below:

I hope that 2024 is a fabulous year ahead and you find some time to get creative this year!

Wishing you a wonderful year ahead!
