Welcome to the Inksomniacs 2017 Holiday Catalogue Blog Hop!

Welcome to our team blog hop today!  If you're not familiar with the name "Inksomniacs"... its the name of our StampinUp team of awesome demonstrators.  Im excited that you are here and am excited to show you lots of fabulous projects made with gorgeous new products OUT TODAY!  Yep, today is the first day of our 2017 Holiday Catalogue from StampinUp, and our talented ladies are here to show you lots of fun projects. To take the hop to the next blogger, click the NEXT button at the bottom of this page.  Or there is a list of those taking part as well, and you can click on each name to visit their blog.

Today I've chosen the beautiful Night in Bethlehem Suite for my project, and you can see it above.  I used the "Salted Background" technique to create the night sky behind the town, and I love the starry effect it gives.  I used Pool Party and Dapper Denim as my colours (just a little of the Pool Party) and added in a few stars with my white gel pen.  The framelits from the suite were used to cut the town layers, and the sentiment came from the same stamp set in the bundle.  The card base is smoky slate.

After finishing this card I went to clean up my desk (its amazing how much mess I can create in a short time!) and came across a few scraps left over on my table... so I put them together to make this card:

How gorgeous are those Foil Snowflakes.... I used one behind my diecut circle.  I cant wait to show you lots of cool things you can do with those!  They are available today too!  The buildings were cut off in my earlier Bethlehem card.... so I figured I might as well use them!  Funny how i always get distracted when I am cleaning my desk......

And I have one last piece of exciting news! StampinUp Australia have just announced that there is a fantastic new Host set available called "Merry Patterns", available from 1st September to the 31st October.  You cant buy it, but you can get it one of two ways:

1. Place an order of $450 or more and you will automatically receive this gorgeous set on top of your other host benefits you get for an order this size. It can be just your order, or you can combine orders with your friends.

2. Host a get together with your friends (in real life or virtual) and if you reach the $450 total you will also receive this set.  Hosting is easy, and one of the best ways to see lots of new products up close and personal.  I bring everything to create with... you just need to supply the guests and a cuppa.  Around 6-8 people is the perfect number for some reason... but I am happy to have smaller groups as well.

Wanna see this new stamp set??

Its a 2-step stamp set where you have both the line drawing and the patterns with which to fill in the line image.  Its important to note that this stamp set WONT be available again after the promotion period 1st September to October 31st.  StampinUp have given us some lovely samples which I will be sure to post on my Facebook Business page until I receive my set and start creating too!

So on with the Blog Hop.... here is the list of gorgeous ladies who are taking part this time.  You can either click on the names, or you can just use the "Next" button to visit the next in line.  Have a fantastic day, and happy shopping with our new Holiday Catalogue for 2017!
