New Stamp Club starting February 2018!
Today I held one of my Stamp Clubs and I wanted to show you the project that we made. It's this gorgeous little flat rectangular box, and inside are these 3 cute little notecards and matching envelopes. I really love this box... its one of our easiest-to-assemble boxes ever. You just need to cut 2 of the shape with the Big Shot die cutting machine, and then they go together easily with just a small amount of adhesive... in this case I used our Tear and Tape adhesive, which provided a really strong bond to hold the box together.
The papers I used to decorate the box are from the Painted with Love suite in our new Occasions catalogue. You'll find the whole suite including the stamps and framelit dies on pages 18 and 19. Here are the cute little notecards that we decorated to go inside the box:
What is Stamp Club?? Its a regular group that gets together to create some really great projects every second month. Each member of the group commits to spend a minimum of $50 at each club event, and each member has a turn to be the "hostess" over the course of a year. That way everyone gets a chance to receive the hostess benefits when its their turn. I have 3 spaces available to form an evening club, and Im hoping to start the club over the course of this next month, February 2018. If you would like to attend our club, just let me know.. You'll get to make some awesome projects and learn new techniques as well. My clubs are held here on the Central Coast in my home studio, but at times I've travelled to run clubs in other locations as well.
Who would like to join us? Click HERE to email me and let me know that you are in for 2018. But places are limited so make sure you contact me soon!

Beautiful Day for a dramatic creation
It sure is a beautiful day on the sunny Central Coast! My youngest child started high school (year 7) today and he was so nervous! But he caught that bus on time and made it to school... hoping he has the best day ever!
So once I had him on the bus, and everything seemed to be normal again, I decided to calm my own nerves by making a card at my craft desk. Ahhh.... thats better!
Today's card is a old favourite colour scheme I have returned to. I stamped the flower from the "Beautiful Day" stamp set in black Memento ink, and coloured it with the Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends duo. I then cut around it and used dimensionals to mount it to a piece of black cardstock. The dotty paper is from the Petal Passion DSP pack, and the words in silver are from the "Celebrate you" thinlit dies (a free SAB item!) Its actually a simple card, but I think the colour scheme makes it look extra special.
I hope you are having an awesome day, wherever you are!

Amazing You stamp set in soft and pretty colours
I am really blown away by our Sale-A-Bration products this year - I think its the best SAB we've had in years! I love so many of these items that it was really hard to choose which ones I wanted first.... but I am so glad I got the Celebrate You framelit dies AND the Amazing You stamp set amongst my first items.
You actually cant buy these products. But you can earn them as a "gift with purchase"... when you spend $90 you can choose from most of the SAB products in the SAB catalogue. However Stampin'Up have never offered framelits as Sale-A-Bration items before. In the case of these framelits, you can get those for free when you spend $180 on any Stampin'Up products. Its also worth noting that the framelits are the only item in the SAB catalogue that will be available for sale in our next Annual Catalogue (to be released in June 2018) so you will be able to choose whether you would rather get them for free now, or prefer to wait until the Annual catalogue release and buy them then.
Either way.... you are going to love them! I have already had so much fun using them on all kinds of projects... from cards to Scrapbook pages.... they look amazing! I particularly like to mix up the colours of the words. In the case of the card here I used our Champagne Foil (still available as a carry-over item!) for the word "Amazing" and then I used Silver Glimmer paper for the word "YOU". I think it works great to mix them up like this!
I coloured my flowers with the Pool Party Stampin' Blends combo (the flowers were stamped with Night of Navy ink on whisper white cardstock). All my supplies are listed below so you can buy any of the items you need to make this card. (Just click on the items you want)
I hope you like it.... and are having an AWESOME weekend!

Welcome to the Inksomniacs Team Blog Hop!
Welcome to our team Blog Hop! I am excited today to be able to show you some gorgeous new products as this time our theme is to CASE a project from any of our catalogue. I wanted to showcase either the Occasions or Sale-a-Bration catalogues so I've chosen a card that grabbed my attention from my very first peek at the SAB catalogue. You'll find it on page 16. Firstly I made a version almost the same as the original in the catalogue. I liked it but wanted to step it up a bit so the one you see here is my second version... same layout, but I changed the colours and other elements:
So I used a piece of Whisper White thick cardstock as my base, and then added a layer of vellum on top of that. I stamped and embossed my flower with Versamark and then embossed it with Silver embossing powder. I coloured in the flowers with Pink Pirouette Blends markers. For the sentiment, I used the Celebrate You framelits for the word "Amazing".... It's a little bigger than the original stamped sentiment, and I think it adds an extra "punch" to the card. The frayed ribbon poking out behind the card is also from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue... its part of the Shimmer Ribbon 3-pack.
Here's a close up:
The stamp set, the ribbons and the framelits are all part of this year's SAB promotion... you can have them free as a gift with purchase. Most of them you only need to spend $90 on any Stampin'Up products (except for the framelits which are available for free with a $180 order) I love them all, and think that this year's SAB offerings are just amazing!

Video Tutorial: Frayed Ribbon Tassels and more
Firstly let me start by saying that this is not my card design! This was a card that was shown to us at our last Onstage event in November 2017 by Brandi Barnard from Stampin'Up's head office in the US. (Onstage is a fantastic training day for Demonstrators only... held twice a year) In particular I was fascinated by the frayed ribbon tail on the peacock. One day one of the demonstrators in my team came over to stamp with me and she was recreating this look. So of course i had to try it too.
Since then I've been using these lovely Shimmer Ribbons in lots of different ways. In the video I show a couple of different examples using the ribbon in different ways.
On a side note.... how gorgeous is that glittery washi tape? Its from the Myths and Magic suite in our current Occasions catalogue, and i just LOVE it!
Here is the video.... I hope you enjoy it!

January Alaska Achievers Blog Hop - SAB and Occasions Showcase
Welcome to our Blog Hop today! To be part of this blog hop you need to have achieved the Stampin'Up incentive trip to Alaska in July 2018.... not everyone that earns the trip is part of it, and i dont always have time to do it every month myself.... but this month I couldnt miss this theme! We are showcasing the AWESOME Occasions and Sale-A-Bration catalogues.... and there are so many fabulous products to work with!
In fact trying to choose just a few products was such a challenge as there are so many that I love. So I picked a favourite - the Waterfront stamp set - and then threw together a BUNCH of different Sale-A-Bration (SAB) products for good measure!
This time I have made a simple little watercolour landscape on my Stitched Shapes oval. The backing DSP behind the oval is from the "Bubbles and Fizz" SAB set. The frayed ribbon poking out from behind the oval is from the Shimmer ribbon 3-pack (another SAB product) and the "embossed" background on the pool party cardstock is not actually embossing at all... instead its the word "Amazing" cut with the Celebrate You framelits (another SAB product pack) multiple times in the same colour, and then adhered to the background cardstock. Finally the sentiment "For You" is also from an SAB set... its called Happy Wishes. Its a beautiful double-case set of sentiments, for all kinds of occasions. And lastly, the sentiment has been die cut with another Occasions set... the Petals and More thinlit dies.
And there was one more reason I chose the Waterfront stamp set for this hop..... the trees, mountains and water kind of remind of somewhere..... could it be.... ALASKA! I had a lot of fun making this card... and basically throwing together as many SAB products onto one card as I possibly could! Hmmmm... is it too much???
To continue the Blog Hop click the next name in the list after mine (Im Linda Dalke) and enjoy! And dont forget to come back and visit for more ideas and inspiration!
Have an awesome day!!!

Brusho Background and the Party Pandas for a fun card!
I have a super fun card to show you today. I am again showcasing the gorgeous background effect you get by using Bubble Wrap and Brusho Colour Crystals together... with the added bonus of it being a lot of fun! Im actually did this exact card for a workshop this week and I think the girls really enjoyed it.
Another fun feature of this card is the frayed ribbon poking out from behind the stitched oval diecut. I love this effect and its actually easy to achieve with our new Shimmer Ribbon available in a pack of 3 colours in the Sale-A-Bration catalogue. This lovely 3-pack is a free item when you spend $90 on any Stampin'up products! (And the Party Pandas stamp set is a free set for a $90 spend too! So much fun!)
I also used the Brusho colours to create a "wash" behind my Panda. All up, this is a really fun card! Should you wish to purchase any of these products I have included a Product list below... just click on what you want to order.
In case you missed the tutorial on how to create this background, here it is:
Enjoy your day!
