Video Tutorial: Frog Double Easel Card

Today for our Fancy Friday video I wanted to show you how to create this fabulous double easel card - this one featuring the So Hoppy Together stamp set! I have to tell you that I have loved working with these awesome frogs, and I will be quite sorry to say goodbye to them after the 31st March when they are retiring.  Being Sale-A-Bration items means you can only get them until the end of this month... so we literally have 2 days left (so Im using them while I can!!!)

Actually there are a couple of SAB items on this card.  But even if you dont have the frogs, or even the DSP, you can still make this very simple card.  The fact that it works as an easel card makes it extra appealing.... and you will be sure to get lots of compliments on it (regardless of how you decorate it!)

Easel cards have been around for a long while, but I must say that I loved this double easel version because its so simple! The design is certainly not mine... I based my metric version on the imperial version I saw originally posted by Sharon Armstrong in the US.  To see her fabulous tutorial you can click HERE.

Here's a couple of close up photos to give you a closer look.

Here are the Imperial measurements for those interested:
  • Whisper White Thick Cardstock – 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored and folded at 5 1/2″
  • Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock – 4″ x 10 1/4″, scored at 2 1/2″ and at 5″
  • Black Cardstock - 2 1/4" x 3 3/4"
  • DSP – 3 3/4″ x 5″ and 2″ x 3 1/2″
And in Metric:
  • Whisper White Thick Cardstock - 29.7cm x 10.5cm
  • Lemon Lime Twist cardstock - 29.1cm  x 10cm
  • Black Cardstock - 9.5cm x 7cm
  • DSP - 13.5cm x 9.5cm and 9cm x 6.5cm

But of course you want to know how to make it, right?  Click on the video below to check it out... and be sure to let me know what you think!

PS I should mention that this video didn't actually get finished with the upload to YouTube until Saturday morning.... so my apologies for that.  My daughter said I should rename this one... instead of "Fancy Friday" it should be called something like "Slightly late Saturday" or something of that nature. I'm not so sure, but I TRIED to get the video finished on time. I did actually record it on Friday... it just didnt end up posted here until now!  Oh well.... that's life sometimes right!?  Thanks for bearing with me!

Fancy Friday video tutorial - Vintage Backgrounds 2 different ways

Hello everyone! Im back this week with another cool video tutorial.  This week I wanted to show you how to use your embossing folders and our white craft ink to create a fabulous Vintage book to your backgrounds.  Except that I couldn't choose which of the 2 styles I preferred..... so I decided to do both!

In the video below you will see that both versions are really easy to achieve, and there isn't a lot of supplies required either.  I think you will love both techniques! Enjoy!

Fancy Friday Video Tutorial - how to make a Framed Eclipse card

Today I made this simple but striking card and thought it would make a perfect project for today's Fancy Friday video tutorial!  I used the gorgeous Painted Seasons stamp set (which is a DistINKtive stamp set from our latest Sale-A-Bration offering).  And the Lovely Lipstick foil is another SAB item... its free with a $90 order).  To create the frame I used the Stitched Rectangle framelits.  And then of course I created a little video tutorial to show you how to make it!

I've included the video below.... I hope you enjoy it!

To order any of these products please visit the Online Store - or you can click the images below if there is something there that you would like to purchase.   You could do this simple technique with almost any set, but I do love it with this one today!

Painted Seasons in blues

What a busy month March is!  Its the very last month of our Sale-A-Bration promotion... so that means you need to check out what's on offer before they are gone forever!  The card you see here today showcases a couple of our current free offerings.  I used the black and white gingham paper for my background... you'll find that design in the Botanical Butterfly paper pack.  Its one of our current "gifts with purchase"... free with a $90 order.  The flowers are images found in the Painted Seasons stamp set... together with the Painted Seasons DSP it is another free item.  The bundle is free with a $180.  Or if you love the paper by itself, you can get it free with a $90 order.

To see all the Sale-A-Bration items available click HERE.  You'll be taken to the Online Store.... then click on Sale-A-Bration, on the left hand side.   You'll also find project ideas and samples that you can be inspired by!   But be sure to do it before the end of March 2019... or they are gone for good!

I hope you like my card today... below you will find a full product list of all the items I used in this card.  I'll be back with more for you soon.... or if you cant wait that long be sure to "like" my Facebook Business page... that's where I pop all my recent creations as they get created!  See you there!

Enjoy!

Video Tutorial: Cheat's Watercoloring inspired by this cute mug!

So its no secret that I LOVE the Painted Seasons bundle... its a free Sale-A-Bration offering that was released on February 15th (2019).  You can get this bundle for free when you place a $180 order.  Here is the bundle:

The bundle includes this gorgeous stamp set PLUS the co-ordinating DSP.  But wait... there's more!  For this month ONLY (March 2019) you can also purchase matching framelits for this bundle if you wish!  Here are all the Sale-A-Bration co-ordinating items available this month...

The ones that match the Painted Seasons set are the Four Seasons dies.  To order any of these items (or anything else!) please click the SHOP NOW button to visit the Online Store.

But today I didn't actually use the framelits.... instead I used the Painted Seasons stamps to attempt a card inspired by the "Thank you" mug you see above in the photo.   The mug was given to me last weekend as a thank you for my involvement in a fundraiser for a local church, as well as a couple of other girls.  I loved the colours so much a couple of us decided to create matching cards.  I really enjoyed making this card.... and here is a video tutorial to show you what I did. Enjoy!

Im a little late to the Party with this lovely stamp set.  Sometimes a set doesnt grab me at the very start.... Even more SALE-A-BRATION deliciousness released today!

Here in Australia its early on the morning of March 1st.... and Im excited about BRAND NEW STUFF we have on offer today!  Because its the last month of Sale-a-Bration (SAB), Stampin'Up have released some really special stuff to finish this year's SAB with a flourish (I love flourishes!).  We have 2 great deals for you:

  1. As of today there are EVEN MORE Sale-a-Bration items available for free when you place a $90 order. So if you have already got all the SAB items you wanted from the original list, we have more great items to choose from this month!
  2. For the very first time SU are offering "Sale-A-Bration Co-ordination" items.  This is a select group of items that are available this month to co-ordinate with other SAB items already available. For example, if you earned the So Hoppy Together stamp set (the Frog set!), there are now framelits to cut those out!  To see the full list of items click over to the Online Store or click the SHOP NOW button.

I thought you might like to see one of the new SAB co-ordination items in use... in the card below I used the Painted Seasons stamp set to create my flowers... aren't they lovely?  I then used the Four Seasons framelits - which are a SAB Co-ordination item - to cut them out, making the job soooo much easier!

On this card I also used the new Country Floral Dynamic embossing folder as my background... yes thats another free item that is available with a $90 order.   So really this is quite a simple card, but it is made easy with these gorgeous products!

If you have questions about any of these deals, please be sure to contact me... or you can also click the SHOP NOW button above to visit the store and check them out yourself!

Oh and by the way, there is a new host code to use when placing your order this month.....

Be sure to use the code if your order is under $250!

Have an awesome day!
