Video Tutorial: Sponged Poppy Birthday Card

I am loving all the poppy products in our latest catalogue!  They are so versatile as you can use them for all kinds of occasions.  Today I have made a video to show how I made this Poppy card that was on my Facebook Page last week... and a couple of people said it would be good to see a tutorial on it. So here it is.

The card in the video uses Daffodil Delight ribbon (instead of the gold) and I also used one leaf die instead of two... but otherwise it's the same card.

If you are in Australia and would like to purchase any of the products you see in the video then head over to my Online Store... items can be shipped straight to you for a low postage cost anywhere in Australia!

Video Tutorial: Sparkly Edged Umbrella card

How cute is this card?  Its quick and easy to make up, and it uses something NEW!  The rainy background paper, and the flowery umbrella are both parts of our new Pleased as Punch DSP..... available now as part of our Co-ordination Product release!  The paper is only $20 (aud) for a pack of 12 sheets... and the designs match a number of our punches which makes them super useful.

Here I used the Umbrella builder punch to cut out the umbrella itself, and then I cut a second umbrella from Silver glimmer paper.  I layered the glimmery umbrella behind the flowery one, so that the edge just shows underneath.  I think it looks really cute!  The sentiment and umbrella handle are both stamps from the stamp set called "Under my Umbrella", which you will find in our current 2020 Mini Catalogue.  Or you can also find it by clicking the SHOP NOW button on this page - which takes you to my Online Store.  Everything you see here and in my videos is available in the store.

Here's a quick video to show you how easy this card is to make:

Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop February 2020 - Sketch Challenge!

Welcome to the Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop.....you may be here after checking out Narelle Fasulo's fabulous layout on her blog.  Thanks for visiting me here today!  This month I am taking part in the latest Blog Hop which this month features a sketch challenge.  I have to tell you that I love a good sketch challenge (both for cards and for Scrapbook layouts)!  Its a fabulous starting point... and can really inspire you - especially if you are a little short on direction for a page.  The challenge of course is working out how you will use the sketch, and how you will change it to suit your layout design.  Here is the sketch we had to work with this time:

And here is my layout:

I loved the finished result so much that I used this design in my Scrapbooking class last month!  I used the Golden Honey DSP and matching Honey Bee stamps and dies to create this look.  The honeycomb look in the background is created by using the honeycomb die as a stencil and gently sponging my ink over the top.  I came together quickly and everyone in class loved it too!

Here are a couple of close ups...

The rose bush in the picture is right by our mailbox at our new house. I've always wanted a rose garden.... and now I have these!

Now on to the next blogger in our fabulous blog hop.....the amazing Sara Levin!

Or you can choose the next name from the list below...

I hope you love my page too.... and if this sketch inspires you I hope you'll try this beautiful design.

Peaceful Poppies card

Last week I held my Peaceful Poppies product class and we made 3 gorgeous projects.  i really loved them... and Im pretty sure the girls who came to class did too.

The card above was my final card on the day.  I created the background on Pool Party cardstock, and stamped poppies from the Painted Poppies stamp set in Pool Party ink for a subtle look.  The striped piece is from the co-ordinating Peaceful Poppies DSP.  I stamped the multiple poppy stamp onto a piece of Shimmery White cardstock with Stazon ink, and then coloured the poppies themselves with Poppy Parade ink and an aquapen.  Then I used Pool Party ink around the flowers.

I've included a full product list for you below.

I hope you enjoy this card.  Stay tuned for more projects and upcoming video tutorials.

Timeless Tulips in Blues

You might already know that I moved house in January, and so I've had a slower start to the year business wise.  As a result my catalogue launch parties were delayed to this month (February).  I held my first one last weekend and the second one will be this coming weekend. At time of writing this I still have a couple of spots left if anyone would like to join us.  The new craft studio is almost completed... just a few tasks left to do.  But its at a stage now where I can hold classes and events!  Its a lovely space to work in... as soon as it is completed I'll post some photos for you.

My card above is one of my launch projects.  I LOVE the Timeless Tulips stamp set, and best of all it has a matching punch to make your cards super easy!  Don't you love that!!!

My colours are Pool Party and Pretty Peacock.  I co-ordinated the stamps with the Parisian Blossoms specialty DSP and some of our new White Seam Binding ribbon.  I've included a product list below should you wish to purchase any of these products for yourself - just click on the item that you want.  Products are delivered straight to your door for a low postage charge.

Enjoy the cards and I'll be back with more for you soon!
