Quiet Meadow Online Specialty Class is OPEN TO REGISTER NOW! (Closes July 30th 2021)

Welcome to my latest Online Specialty Class!  This month we are making 3 lovely projects and I'll be working with some of our gorgeous new products from our latest Annual catalogue.  This month it's the Quiet Meadow bundle and I think you will love them.

Of course Im not giving away all my secrets today... I've posted just a "sneak peek" of the projects above - so you can get an idea of the colours and style of what we are making.  There are two "standard" cards, and also a gorgeous box to decorate... the box would be a great gift for a teacher or friend, or even just something lovely for yourself.

There are two options to register:

1. Tutorial Only - $20

No matter where you are in the world you are welcome to purchase the "Tutorial Only" option. I have set up a Paypal button for this. You will receive the link to the video tutorial within 48 hours of placing your order, and can follow the instructions using whatever stamps and products you have in your stash, and at a time to suit you! Ideally you will have the Quiet Meadow products in your collection, but if not, you can substitute with other products. The cost for this option is $20aud. I have set up a Paypal button for this below. Or you can contact me to make payment.
2. Class pack and Tutorial.
If you are in Australia and would like me to send out the materials to make these projects as well as the video tutorial showing how to put it together then all you need to do is place an order of $50 or more with me through my ONLINE STORE and when you check out be sure to use the Host Code ZKWMBV3B. This Host Code will identify that you wish to be part of the class so that I can send the materials out. Click the SHOP NOW button to go shopping!

(Please note that you do not need the Quiet Meadow stamps and dies to do the class. You can substitute with whatever sentiment stamps you have on hand... HOWEVER... if you wish to purchase the bundle I think you will love it! It retails for $91.75 (which is a 10% saving over buying them separately)

The video link will be sent to you by email within 48 hours of placing your order. This Online Class option will be open to register until Friday July 30th 2021, OR until sold out. Last class packs will be in the mail by Monday 2nd August if not earlier.

Please note that the materials sent out will include the die cut or punched shapes needed for this project.... all you need to do is stamp and assemble it together. (You do not have to own the stamp sets I have used - you can substitute with any suitable sentiment stamps you have in your collection) Here is my Recommended list of items to help you put the projects together:

Suggested Inks (or similar):

Evening Evergreen
Soft Succulent
Gray Granite
Fresh Freesia
Pale Papaya

Suggested Adhesvies:
Seal or Seal +
or Tombow Multipurpose glue
Dimensionals
Mini Glue Dots

Other:

Scissors (To cut ribbon)
Blending Brushes
Sponge daubers
Gems for Flower centres - I used Basic Rhinestones but you can use the gems of your choice
Soft Succulent OR Evening Evergreen Blends markers (or similar colours)

If you wish to make the projects at home (without the supplies included) you will also need
the Scalloped Kraft Boxes from our Annual catalogue (or be able to make up similar boxes yourself). The cardstock colours for the cards I made include Gray Granite, White, and I also used Soft Succulent glimmer paper.

And here's the best bit.... you can add anything you like to your order (as long as you use the host code ZKWMBV3B when checking out)... and that includes sale or clearance items, or any current items.

I hope you will join me for this Online class this month... and that you enjoy these gorgeous projects! I think you will love them! Feel free to CONTACT ME if you have any questions at all.

Quiet Meadow bundle on my Facebook Live tonight

Hello friends!  Tonight I did my usual Friday Night Facebook Live, and one of the cards I made was this one with the gorgeous Quiet Meadow bundle.  This is fast becoming one of my favourite bundles in the Annual Catalogue.... and hopefully you can see why!  It lends itself to a vintage floral kind of card, and it seems to work with lots of different colour combinations. (Click HERE to see the last post I did and the YouTube video I created with this same set!)

This truly is a very simple card. First I used my diecutting machine to cut a circle from a sheet of scrap cardstock.  I placed the hole over my card base and stamped the type stamp over the circle area, then removed the mask. This type circle became the focal point of my card, and I added the splatter stamp in Navy... also from the Quiet Meadow set.  I used some of the Meadow dies (one in Night of Navy, and one in white vellum) and adhered these to one side of the circle background. I tied a piece of Linen Trim and adhered it to the base of the stems.  I cut the tag from a piece of Linen Paper, and stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy ink.  For the final touches I added some bling embellishments to the centres of the vellum flowers, and added a vellum butterfly to the top right corner of the card.

If you would like to see me make it you can visit my Facebook Page and view tonight's like video. Note that the video is in 2 parts.

Please note... if you love this bundle then you'll want to stay tuned for my next Online Specialty class which will be up on my blog and Facebook page later tomorrow.  Im really excited about these projects and you will love them too!

Video Tutorial: How to make this Quiet Meadow textured card

I shared this card over on my Instragram Page and my Facebook business page just this week, and lots of people told me them loved it. So I thought I'd better do a video to show how easy it is to make!  I love all the texture on this card... especially the gorgeous Linen Paper which gives the whole card that really vintage feel.

Here's a close up so you can better see the texture:

If you'd like to see how to make it for yourself, click the video link below:

Video Tutorial: Joy Fold card with the gorgeous Sweet Symmetry DSP

Hello Friends!

I hope you are all well!  We are currently on week 3 of the latest Lockdown, and doing whatever we can to get through it sane and healthy!  I am so glad to have a wonderful Papercraft hobby that I can fall back on in times like this!  I hope wherever you are located that things are on the up in your part of the world.... and if you are locked down like me.... let's look after ourselves so that we come out the other end intact!

On my Youtube Live video on Sunday night I made this cool Joy Fold card. This type of fold has been around for years, but it was fun to drag it out again and use it with some of our gorgeous new DSP designs.  In this case I have used the "Sweet Symmetry" DSP pack... dont these colours look cool together?!

Here are the metric measurements for my card:

1. Cut a piece of A4 paper in half vertically so that it is 10.5cm wide (the A4 length is 29.7CM) This will give you two card bases if you want to make more than one card.  Score or fold at the half way point.

2. Now flatten card base out again and cut the length to 25.4cm. Your fold will no longer be in the centre.

3. Cut smaller piece of cardstock to 20cm x 7.5cm, fold in half.

4. DSP measurements: 1. 10cm x 10cm

                                    2. 13.9cm x 9.5cm

                                    3. 9.5cm x 7cm

5. White pieces: 9.5cm x 7cm (cut 2)

6. Cut label for front of card (I used a shape from the Painted Labels dies)

I hope that's helpful!

Click the link below to watch the card made on my YouTube live video on Sunday night!

Enjoy!

What do you do when Lockdown makes you cancel a class? You PIVOT!!!

So we have another week of Lockdown... not completely unexpected.  But it did mean that I had to ring all my ladies coming to next week's class and tell them we'd have to postpone it.  All of them were very understanding.. but they were also keen to see if we could do something via Zoom. And so we are going to do just that!

Ive scheduled a Zoom class to feature our gorgeous Shimmer Vellum... and I'd love you to join us! We will make 3 projects each using the Shimmer Vellum in a different way. And there is a Christmas card in there for those that are wanting to get started on their Christmas cards.  Plus a bonus project (not pictured).

Here is the time:

Saturday 17th July @ 2pm.  I expect the class will go for a couple of hours at most.

PLEASE NOTE:  You don't have to own these products to do the class!!  However you will need a few basic supplies - and I have listed these below.

For this class I am not charging a fee... instead I ask that you place an order through me.  The order can be any size.  I know some people are not working right now due to lockdown, so it's whatever you feel is fair.  You can submit your order any time between now and the class day.  If you prefer to shop via the Online Store, click the SHOP NOW button on this page.

I'll also need to know that you wish to do the class... you can let me know by clicking HERE and just tell me that you are joining us so that I can send you the Zoom link.  IMPORTANT: I need to know you want to do the class by Sunday night 11th July so that I can mail the supplies out to you on Monday12th July.

Here are the recommended basics you will need:

Adhesive - dimensionals, glue dots and your preferred general adhesive such as Tombow or tape runner

Inks - Evening Evergreen, Fresh Freesia, Pale Papaya and Calypso Coral (or you can substitute with similar colours)

Scissors (to cut ribbon)

Sponge Daubers, Wink of Stella (optional), Sentiment stamps of your choice.

Everything else is provided in the supply packs and pre-cut for you.

If you want to do the Zoom class but you are unable to join us at that time, I can send you a recording of the class after the event... let me know if that is the case for you.

I really hope you can join us for this fun class.

Stay home, stay safe!

Video: Replay of my Live unboxing of brand new Stampin' Up! products!

One of the things I love most about being a demonstrator is the opportunity to get our hands on the products first.... even before they are released to customers. This is super handy! It allows me to have samples ready and to plan my events ahead of time.  But its also great for the Mini Catalogue that has all the Holiday items in it, so you can make an early start on Christmas cards!

Yesterday my big box of goodies arrived, and so I did a "Live Unboxing" on my FACEBOOK PAGE.  In case you missed it, I've also posted the replay of this video to YouTube.  Its a great way to check out some of my favourite things from this new catalogue, and to see which items you might want too!

To see the video, click the link below.... and then let me know which items are your fvourite!

Have a great day!

Linda D

PS If you dont have a demonstrator, and you live in Australia, CONTACT ME and I'll send you one of our new catalogues for free!
