Scrapbooking with Stampin'Up products

Every second month I run a Scrapbooking class in the Hunter Valley (the 1st Thursday of every second month if anyone is interested in joining us!)  and its always a fun day. I've been running these for 6 or 7 years now and over the years we have made some gorgeous pages.

I thought I would share the 2 most recent layouts with you. The first one (shown above) used the "Friends for Life" bundle and the "Full of Life" dsp.  For such a colourful photograph I knew I would need to use really colourful papers - and this DSP absolutely delivered on that!  The photo is of myself and my friend Susan Campfield at the recent Mexico Incentive trip with Stampin'Up! It was such an amazing trip and I am so grateful that I was able to attend.  This particular photo was taken on the first full day there, during the "General Session".  I love these information sessions - we find out about what's happening with the business and get some sneak peeks of what's coming soon too.

The second layout is certainly more muted but I really loved how it turned out too.  On the day we arrived we were treated to a "gifting suite"... they had set up tables of beautiful gifts and we got to choose a gift from each table.  You can see the gorgeous beach bag I chose.... there were more colourful ones, but I thought I would get more use from a more neutral bag.  Its very sturdy and awesome for carrying everything around.... I used it for when we were hanging by the pool to carry my towel, sunglasses and my book.  You can also see my wristband in the photo..... I LOVED these bands. I wished we could keep them... but alas, that is not allowed. The wristband goes on when you check in, and it stays on for the whole time until you check out. It's waterproof, so you wear it in the shower and when swimming.  You swipe it to enter your room, and you need to be wearing it to enter restaurants and the other parks that were included in the stay.  Plus it looked so cool!

While we were in the gifting suite we also got to see Shelli... its been so long!  So good to catch up!

For this layout I used Moody Mauve as my base colour, and teamed it up with the "Wildly Flowering" DSP.  I used the matching "Wildflower Designs" bundle for the stamping and the hexagonal die cuts.... how good are those shapes??   The lettering was done with the "Alphabet A La Mode" dies.

It always feels to good to document your memories in this way!

I'll be back with more for you soon.
