Video Tutorial: Love of Leaves Watercoloured Background (Facebook Live)

On the weekend I made a little Facebook Live video and showcased this gorgeous Love of Leaves bundle... and these are the pieces I stamped.  I really love the watercoloured look of these stamps.... and I added to that on the left hand panel with some water spritzed over the stamping.  I just love this look!

I thought you might be interested to watch the video to see how it all came together.  You will find the video below:

Have a fabulous day!

Thinking of joining Master Stamper? Here's a special deal to check it out!

For the past couple of years I've been on the design team over at the Master Stamper Program.... and its been super cool to be part of it!  What is Master Stamper?  Well its a fabulous community where you can check out hundreds of cool projects with tutorials and inspiration.  Each week we bring you a new tutorial for a fabulous project, and there is an associated community of Facebook friends (if Facebook is your thing).  But there is also a back catalogue of projects going back for years and years... and as a Master Stamper member you have access to all of them.

I contribute a tutorial every month... as do my stamping friends Ann Clemmer (in the US) and Pip Todman (in the UK).  You can see a little sneak peek of my latest project featured in the photo above.  Our Master Stamper motto is "Improving your stamping one impression at a time"... and if you are new to stamping, or just looking to improve your skills, then I highly recommend this program to you.

You get all these features just $14.97 usd per month.  But RIGHT NOW we are doing 2 months for the price of one.. but only for those signing up now (until the end of this month).  So thats less than a week to go!  You can cancel at any time.  And i love that even those overseas stamping friends who cant purchase products from me can still be part of my scene by being part of Master Stamper!

If you want to be part of it then click HERE and follow the Paypal link.

Its a fabulous program and I hope to see you there!

Hello friends!

Today we are having fun with a brand new set that I just "acquired"... the gorgeous "In the Pines" bundle of stamps and dies.  And so of course I couldn't wait to play with them... and this card and video are the result!

I also realised that I hadnt showed you how to use the fabulous Gold Hoops from our annual catalogue... and I think this card shows them off very well. In the video you'll see how I attached them to the card.

Video Tutorial: How to create a Misty Forest Card

Hello friends!  Today we are playing with background techniques again.... and this time I have a fun "Misty Forest" technique for you.  This is way easier than it looks, and when you watch the video I think you will be amazed at how easily you can recreate this look.

And not only that, but you dont need much in the way of supplies!  The main things are a realistic Christmas tree stamp, a dark green ink (I used Mossy Meadow by Stampin' Up) and a greyish coloured neutral tone cardstock to work on (I used the colour "Gray Granite").  The other item you will need is white pigment ink.

So watch the video and let me know what you think! Click the link below to view it:

Last Day to be part of the Coming Home Online Class!

Today is the very last day to be part of my Online class featuring the awesome Coming Home stamp set.  This is a really special set, as $4.25 from the sale of each set is being donated to the "Adopt Change" charity.  So that makes it an even better investment... not only is it a gorgeous and versatile set to use, but its also helping us make a difference!

The online class I am running with this set features 3 beautiful cards (you can see a sneak peek in the photo below), and all you have to do to be part of the class is to purchase the Coming Home stamp set and use the class code BW4UFNCD. (The Online store can be reached by clicking the SHOP NOW button above).  If you already own the stamp set, thats ok too... you can still place the order using that code.  Or you can also purchase the tutorial only option at $25.  Full details can be found on the tab above.... and there is also a PayPal button for those who want the tutorial only option.  Or you can Click HERE

Once you have registered I will send you the private Video Tutorial via email, and for those who place an order, you will also receive all the pre-cut pieces in the mail to put the projects together.

The card at the top of this post is not one of the class cards... but it does show you another great project you can make with this gorgeous set!

The Coming Home Online Class! Available NOW!

Welcome to my latest Online Class!  This time we are creating 3 lovely cards with the Coming Home bundle!  For this class I will be using products from the "Trimming the Town" suite of products and I hope you will love them!   You can see a "sneak peek" of our cards for this class in the picture above.

Please note that you will need to have the "Coming Home" stamp set to complete these cards. The good news is that this set is a "Make a Difference" stamp set, which means that here in Australia $4.25 from the sale of each set is donated to the Adopt Change charity. You can read more about "Adopt Change" HERE.

So anyone that purchases this stamp set through my online store and uses the class code BW4UFNCD will be registered for the class. Once registered I will mail you all the pre cut pieces to complete these projects.... all you need to do is stamp, colour and assemble.  You will also need sentiments to complete the cards... this means you can choose whether you wish to make them Christmas cards or use them for another occasion. I made mine for Christmas, so I added Christmas sentiments from my collection. See below for a full list of recommended supplies.

The tutorial is a YouTube video, and I will send the private link to you for this video within 48 hours or your registration.  The advantage of delivering tutorials this way is that you can pause and restart the video as you need to, and you can do the "class" whenever it is convenient for you to do so.

You have two options to participate in the class:

1. Tutorial Only.

No matter where you are in the world you are welcome to purchase the "Tutorial Only" option.  I have set up a Paypal button for this.  You will get the link to the video tutorial, and can follow the instructions using whatever stamps and products you have in your stash. There are instructions for three great cards included in the video tutorial.  They are relatively simple, but I also include some tips and technique ideas.  The cost for this option is $20aud. Here is the paypal button to click to get the video only option:
If you are in Australia and would like me to send out the materials to make these projects as well as the video tutorial showing how to put them together then all you need to do is place an order with me through my ONLINE STORE and when you check out be sure to use the Host Code
BW4UFNCD .  This Host Code will identify that you wish to be part of the class so that I can send the materials out.  When you place your order be sure to order the Coming Home stamp set (Item code 153500) so that you will be able to stamp along with me. The cost of this stamp set is $31aud.  You can add further items to your order if you wish, although this is not required.

The video link will be sent to you by email within 48 hours of placing your order.  This Online Class option will be open to register until Tuesday 8th September, 2020.  Class packs will all be in the mail by Thursday 10th September at latest.

Please note that the materials sent out will include the die cut or punched shapes needed for these cards.... all you need to do is stamp them and assemble them together.   Below are suggestions for items that would be helpful to have for the class -  inks, colouring tools and adhesives (or similar):

Ink:

  • Memento Black
  • Misty Moonlight or Night of Navy

Adhesvies:
  • Tape runner eg Seal
  • Tombow Multipurpose glue
  • Dimensionals (standard AND mini)
  • Mini Glue Dots
Additional:
  • Colouring Tools - I used Blends markers, but you could also colour your houses with watercolour pencils or Stampin' Write markers. Please note that if you intend to use Watercolours you will need to stamp your images with waterproof ink eg Stazon
  • Sentiment stamps to add to the finished cards - I used Christmas sentiments, but these stamps also lend themselves to "Welcome Home" themes, or "Moving House"  or Housewarming themes.

I hope you will join me for this Online class this month... and that you enjoy these beautiful cards!  If you have any questions please contact me.

Video Tutorial: Sending Sunshine Sunray Technique

Today I am showing how I created this awesome Sunray card.... and actually there are a couple of techniques in this one simple card. Firstly I'll show you how to do the background, and then I'll show you how I created the Sunrays behind the circles.

Actually the Gold sunrays behind the circle were easy... I repurposed a Christmas Tree die from the Coming Home dies (you'll find them in the Product list below or in the Online Store) to become the rays popping out from behind the circle.

So even thought this is not a difficult card, I think its really effective. The sunrays in the background also work well for a scrapbook page... as shown in the Scrapbook page I created below:

If you would like to see the video to show you how, you will find it below.  Enjoy!

PS.... If you would like to be part of my anniversary fun over on my Facebook Page (I've been with Stampin'Up for 14 years this week!) then click HERE to visit the page.  Im doing some giveaways and specials so head over there to be part of it!
