The 2014 Retirement list is OUT! See whats discontinuing and some items even discounted HERE!

Hooray! It's here!  The photo above show you just a small sample of the discontinuing items this year… this is some of my own stamps and accessories that will be retiring!

If you would like to see what is being discontinued from our current 2013-14 Annual Stampin'Up catalogue then click below:

For the STAMPS click HERE

For the Accessories click HERE

As these items sell out, they will be no longer available, so make sure you go through the lists and mark off the items so you can see what you will need to get before they are gone.  (I usually set myself up with a cup of coffee and my current catalogue and mark off all the items with a highlighter so I can see exactly what is going on).

To order you can do it through my online store by clicking HERE… or you can email me by clicking HERE.

Once again.. items are only available until sold out. (My prediction is that the retiring in color re-inkers will go first.. which is what usually happens each year.)

Oh.. and if you would like to come along to my retirement party and put your name on some of my discontinuing items at a reduced price, then email me to let me know. Here are the details:

Linda's Retirement party and Afternoon Tea (Please note the change of date from the originally posted date)

Here are the details: Saturday June 14th 1pm and 3pm (I am staggering viewing times so that I don't have too many people through at one time due to parking restrictions) It will be first in, best dressed. There is no cost to attend. (If you haven't been before I will supply address details when you book in).

You can put your name against retiring products, although I will put them aside for you until the end of June as I not allowed to officially sell them until July. Then in July you can come along with the cash and pick them up :-)

Have fun with the list.. there is lots more excitement coming your way, but thats enough for today don't you think??

Last day to order this very special Convention Bundle….

As many of you know, I spent most of last week at our Annual Stampin'Up Convention. It was an AMAZING Convention! This year it was held in Melbourne which is a fabulous venue… and if you have "liked" my Facebook Business page you would have seen some of the photos and updates from the 5 days I was there. Sooo much fun! I hope that even more of my team AND my customers can make it next time!

So towards the end of the event they shared a special bundle with us.. only available to Convention goers, and their customers (so only those that attended can actually place orders for it).  I checked with head office this morning as they have extended the offer… but it closes TODAY.. the 29th May. I know the flyer says the 28th, but if you are quick you can still get it. Please contact me by clicking HERE to order if you would like one. Its a great bundle and is a 15% saving on the normal price!

Click HERE to view a bigger pic of the bundle, which includes:

  • 10 Chevron Gift Bags
  • a pack of Gold Fancy foil designer vellum
  • a pack of Watercolor wonder Washi tape
  • the Sassy Salutations Stamp set
The bundle is available in clear OR wood, depending on what you prefer.  And remember its only available TODAY.  Of course this is for Australian customers only… sorry to my overseas blog readers :-(

Have a great day.. Im working on my customer newsletter today so stay tuned for that. If you don't receive the newsletter there is a sign-up box at the top right of this blog… just enter your email address and I'll get one to you :-)

And here's another sample made with the Chevron Bags.. I just love them!

Video Tutorial: Easy Scalloped Tag Concertina Card

Last week I put this awesome card that I created for this month's stamp clubs here on my blog… and the response was great! I received some lovely comments, and feedback, and I wanted to say a great big thank you for that… by creating a video to show you how it's made. It's a little longer than some of my other videos, but if you don't have 12 minutes to listen to it all, you can get the measurements and basics in the first 5 or 6 minutes and then come back and listen to the extras when you have more time.

I hope you enjoy the video and I'll be back with more for you soon!

Linda H :-)

PS… We have a great new demonstrator promotion starting TODAY! So if you've been thinking about joining Stampin'Up as a demonstrator… this could be your time! You can join from only $85!  Email me by clicking HERE if you would like to learn more about it!

Upcoming Class schedule…. come and experience the fun of getting creative!

In case you haven't noticed, I have updated my upcoming class schedule for June (and will shortly be adding even more to the program as well).  There is going to be quite a lot on in the next couple of months… so check the schedule out and book in to the classes that sound like you!

To see the current schedule, go over to the right-hand side bar of this blog (you will need to be looking at the blog itself, not the email) and scroll down a little. I have listed technique classes, Stamp-A-Stacks and product-focus classes. To book in, you just need to send me an email by clicking HERE

The card you see here today is an example of the Embossing Folder stamping technique that I will be playing with next month. If you would like to learn how to do these fun background techniques, then come along and see how!

And I am also calling June "New Customer Month"!  This means that I have organised lots of great prizes for those coming along in June. If you come along to class and you haven't been to a class with me before, you will get your class FOR FREE when you place an order of any size with me.  And if you bring along a new person who has never been to a class with me before, then you will receive a great prize from the prize basket (you get to choose it) for doing so.  I love meeting new people, and LOVE it when someone discovers the joy of stamping and creating for the first time.  Why not give it a try?

Here is a close-up of today's card… enjoy!!!

This month's stamp club project - the Scalloped Tag Concertina Card

Today I just had to show you my latest stamp club creation!  Whilst in the US and on the ship we received some lovely swaps. One of them that particularly caught my eye was this lovely concertina card by Doreen Becker…..

Isn't it great?  I spent a whole afternoon trying to make the measurements for this work. But couldn't make it quite the same, so came up with my own version. This it what the outside looks like from above…

And then here is the inside….

I love how it turned out!!

And the girls at my first two stamp clubs have loved it too……

If you are thinking that you would like to purchase any of the items I used I've made it easy for you… the codes and prices are below. Just visit my Online Store to place your order and have it delivered to you anywhere in Australia for a low postage cost.

And Im thinking that this version of the card with the measurements I used might make a great video tutorial… would you like to see it?? Let me know!

So Im back!

Im back.. did you miss me?  lol

If you have been following some of my photos and updates over on my Facebook Business page you would already know that we had a fabulous time on our US trip and Caribbean Cruise!  The kids have gone back to school today and so finally I find myself with a little time to catch up… I will upload a few photos for you.  But also the house looks like a bomb went off… and I am finally almost caught up on all the washing. And of course its back to work.. i have two stamp clubs this weekend and another on Monday, so I need to do some preparing and creating… but thats the fun bit, so going to tackle the housework first so that the creating will be a well-deserved treat!

So I thought I would upload a few random photos of highlights of the trip….we had a few days in Orlando before the trip to take the kids to Disneyworld, and recover a little from the long flights.  The kids LOVED Disney of course. Highlights were the Finding Nemo aquarium adventure, the Star Wars ride and the "Tower of Terror".  I sat that last one out… after being on our feet all day in the rain, I was happy to sit for a few minutes whilst Paul took the kids on the Tower of Terror.  Of course they loved it!

On the 3rd May we drove our hire car down to Fort Lauderdale to the Hyatt Regency where Stampin'Up had generously paid for us to stay the night before the cruise.  It was a great place to stay and relax before being transferred to the ship the following morning. Here was our ship itinerary…

Day 1 Depart Fort Lauderdale. Group show at the Aquatheatre and meet and greet on the Boardwalk… great show!

Boarding the boat for our trip...

My Emma and Isobel Webb rode the carousel many times over… it was free!

Day 2 At Sea - getting to know the boat and trying not to get lost.  Attended our general session to hear about some great upcoming SU news. I even won a prize in the prize patrol!

Pillow gifts :-)

(Here I am trying to throw rings over bottles in the hospitality suite to win product prizes from our Upcoming catalogue!)

Day 3 Labadee, Haiti - lying in a deck chair on the beach while the kids went swimming and snorkelling

Great panorama that Paul took from our beach spot...

Day 4 Falmouth, Jamaica - Emma got her hair braided, we went via taxi to a little dodgy beach and had the "real Jamaica" experience… white sand, warm water, beach bar, drinking from Coconuts, friendly locals and very very LOUD Bob Marley

(Taken from our balcony on the 12th floor of the ship as we arrived in Jamaica)

(The real Jamaician experience!  Imagine Bob Marley really really LOUD, and then add coconuts, warm water and white sand… perfect!)

Paul enjoying his Coconut… and Ben was pretty impressed too!

Day 5 At Sea - Walk-a-thon for Mission of Hope, and Swap Day!

We walked to help SU donate over $20k to the Mission of Hope… enough to build 3 homes in Haiti!

Just some of my swaps!

Just one of many swap boards in the hospitality suite!

Day 6 Cozumel, Mexico - went to a CRAZY Mexican restaurant for lunch!  They even made us funny balloon hats!
(My photos of this aren't working…. so here's a happy shot of us being photobombed!!

Day 7 At Sea - saying goodbyes, and spending time on the Levitating bar with friends :-)

Vanessa and I all dressed up for dinner...

Day 8 Depart the "Allure of the Seas" :-( for various locations around the world… for us it was long flight's back to Sydney via Atlanta and LAX.   But so worth it! A trip of a lifetime… filled with fun and memories for all of us! Especially the kids who are still full of all their adventures…..

I know its brief, but I thought a quick whip through of the itinerary would be the best way to tackle such a big trip!  I will pop back soon with some more SU stuff such as swaps, prizes and friends :-)

Thanks to SU for an amazing trip! I think I realised one of the reasons why I love Stampin'Up so much… its because I do truly get to be appreciated for what i do.  I've realised that positive feedback and appreciation are very very important to me… and i am so grateful for the opportunity again to attend a fabulous Incentive trip as a reward for my hard effort. But I know I would be nowhere without you guys.. my awesome customers and fabulous team of demonstrators… I am so grateful for everything you guys do to support my business!  We none of us achieve anything without support! Thank you guys… I am so grateful!!!

And now… Im working hard already for the next Grand Vacation… to HAWAII in 2015!!!

Finally… my Grand Vacation Swaps revealed….

Finally I have internet access!  At sea the WiFi has been crazy expensive… so they released a 2 day special for $70, and we've decided to take it.  While its been great to "turn off" for a few days….I have also been keen to get online and show you some of our adventures. I am posting a bunch of photos on my Facebook Business page today (click HERE if you want to check those out.. just hit the "Like" button if you want to see more updates in the coming days)

But in the meantime I thought you would like to see my swaps for the trip. We exchanged all our swaps yesterday so now I can show you what I couldn't show you before.  I had lots of fun making these… I did all the embossing and cutting in stages.  Vanessa Webb and I set aside a few days in the holidays to work on our swaps together and it turned out to be a great stress-free way to go about it.

I hope you like my swaps too.. they were fun to make :-)
