Stencilled Burlap Ribbon



Or "Hessian".. as we call it here in Australia. I have a Stencilling/Masks class today and this is one of the projects we are making.  Stencilling is such a simple but effective way to create interest on your projects, and to be honest I wonder that we don't use it more often. We do have stencils available from Stampin'Up (called Decorative Masks) but you can also make your own (like the stencil I used on this card - it was actually my Grand Vacation swap card this year, and I cut the Hexagon Hive framelit shape with my Big Shot and used it for my background).
