Watercolour and Sunshine Wishes

Yesterday I was chatting to a friend who isn't feeling so great this week, and I thought this would be a great card to cheer her up!

I applied re-inkers (Daffodil Delight and Bermuda Bay) on to a wet clear block and then sprayed a bit more water to really mix the colours the way I wanted (helped a little with an aqua pen).  Then I slid my panel of watercolour paper onto the block to get this great background effect.  My favourite thing about this technique is that you never know what result you are going to get and it turns out different every time! :-)  In this case the Bermuda Bay ink turned a dramatic green when mixed with the Daffodil.... it almost looks like Emerald Envy to me!

The heart is cut from gold foil using the Sunshine Wishes framelits, and the sentiment is from the "Weather Together" stamp set - stamped in Emerald Envy ink.

Yes it was a simple card, but I love watercoloured backgrounds so much, and I think you don't need to add a lot else!

Here are my supplies if you are in Australia and would like to order your own....
