Hello and welcome to my Online Class this month! This month I am trying something completely different. Usually I feature a particular suite of products, but this time I am running an Online Technique class. I've been asked to do this in the past but I wasnt sure how to go about it. Of course I've been running In-Person technique classes for years, but never have I offered one online. But I LOVE techniques, and I love teaching them, so I am keen to try it out online and see how we go! We can always tweak it for next time!
Because this class focuses on techniques, you will find that you need to have several items in your collection in order to duplicate these projects. You may already have these, but if you don't, you are welcome to purchase them. All items I have used are available from Stampin'Up. If you are in Australia, and you don't already have a demonstrator, you are very welcome to purchase these items through my Online Store in readiness for the class. I have included images of the products below - simply click on what you need in order to purchase it.
This month I am excited to share with you one of my favourite mediums: White Ink. You can see the projects that we will create together in the photograph above. I will pre-record all of the content and show step-by-step how to do the techniques, and how to put the projects together. Then you will be able to purchase just the Video content, or if you are in Australia, you will be able to purchase the supply packs to make up the projects as well.
Here are the options available:
Option 1: Tutorial Only
No matter where in the world you might be, you can purchase just the tutorial component showing the techniques for $20 aud. I have included a PayPal button for this here:
Please note that your tutorial link will be emailed to your inbox within 48 hours of placing your order
Option 2: Tutorial plus Supply Pack
If you are in Australia you can receive both the tutorial plus the supply pack to make up the projects by placing an order of $50 or more. When ordering be sure to use the host code N4Q7FUTG so that I know you wish to do the class.
Option 3: INKsomniacs team members only
If you are a member of my INKsomniacs team of demonstrators you are welcome to purchase the Tutorial Only option for $20aud, but you will still receive the supply pack as well.
Please note: This class is available until Sunday evening the 19th June. I will be posting the supply packs by Tuesday 21st June at the latest.
Recommended items
For this class I am working with 2 stamp sets - the Cottage Rose stamp set, and Nature's Prints. Both of these sets are in our current Annual Catalogue. If you dont have the Cottage Rose set you are welcome to use any line-drawn flower image, with an open petal that lends itself to colouring. I have also used sentiments from both of these sets, but you can substitute with whatever sentiments you have in your collection.
You will need to own a White Pigment ink and refill. I am using the White Craft ink from Stampin'Up!
Early Espresso Ink (dark brown)
Starry Sky Ink (Dark blue or Navy will also suffice)
Blender Pens
Embossing Tools - White or Metallic Embossing powder, Heat Tool
Water Painter (or small paintbrush)
Sponge Dauber
Blending Brushes
Mask or Stencil with an "all over" design. I have used the Butterflies and Flowers masks from the current Mini catalogue, but any mask or stencil that allow you to cover a card will do.
In addition you will need scissors and adhesive. I have used Tombow multipurpose, dimensionals and Seal adhesive. Please dont be put off by the long list of items in the images below. Some of these are suggestions, but you can make do without them. For example I have used the Stylish Shapes dies to cut the circles and squares on the cards. You can use other punches or dies as required.
To summarise, here's what you get in this class:
- Video Tutorial with step-by-step instructions
- PDF with measurements for all the projects
- Reference sheet with links to videos showing other white ink techniques not actually shown in the class.

So, is option #1 a tutorial & PDF? How long will that be available to us after the purchase?
